DH had steroid shots in his shoulders for quite a while and they helped him a lot. I'm very happy your PCP gave you some helpful information for going forward with care for your DH. Now, you can relax and enjoy visiting with your friends. Lenda Same thoughts I had. 🙂 8
superoma Posted May 28 #77 Share Posted May 28 @kazui have one in green and it works well to help me get up when I havevto kneel to work on something. I don’t have a lot of opportunity to use it for sitting down for something as all our beds are t ground level.

Quartzsite Cruiser Posted May 28 #80 Share Posted May 28 This afternoon turned out to be pleasant. The sun was out with just a few clouds, and the wind slowed down. However, more rain and thunderstorms are on their way. We no longer have a golf cart. One of the people in our community buys golf carts, fixes them and sells them. We just gave the cart away since it's probably not worth too much. There is a place that will repair them, but that would probably cost more than it's worth. Tomorrow if the weather is all right, we're planning on going to Waco to buy a new golf cart that runs on lithium batteries. The bonus is it's a lot cheaper than the name brand golf carts with the lithium batteries. 3 hours ago, Cruising-along said: Good morning all! I'll pass on the drink (whiskey) and meal (tofu) but would like the wine. I don't remember ever being in Norfolk. I got good news last night from BFF -- Amber was discharged from PT rehab and went home yesterday! After 6 long weeks of hospitalization, surgeries, and PT, she's finally home. BFF and her DH have had the grandchildren with them for all this time -- not easy at our age. So I'm sure they are all celebrating! Again, thank you for all your prayers and good wishes. Yesterday I spent all day gardening and got the back, side and front yards all done. And I was hurting last night! We won't have good weather again until Friday -- the life of a gardener in May in the PNW. 😂 Ann @Vict0riann prayers for a negative biopsy! Graham @grapau27 I hope you and Pauline feel better soon. Carolyn, that is good news that Amber is home. That will definitely boost her morale, and hopefully help her recovery. Lenda 16

Have you considered getting a little cart, no electricity involved, that could be drawn by a team of hounds? We love dachshunds, but they could pull a sled. Lenda 6

JazzyV Posted May 29 #90 Share Posted May 29 Good evening. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily. Amnesty International is important. I've never made a brisket and don't think I've ever eaten it. I'll salute national hamburger day, although not having one today. Good quote. I'll pass on the tofu tacos, drink and wine. I've been to Norfolk many years ago, pre-digital, to visit a high school friend. A good day in history. It's been cloudy and cool today. I'm tired. I left home around noon, and went to the pharmacy and post office. Then I went to pick up a prescription for BFF. We chatted for a while, then I did some things around his house like changing his bed linens, taking out the trash, etc. Later I made dinner for us both, then some cleaning in his kitchen. Finally home and I need some ibuprofen and a glass of wine. @grapau27 I'm sorry you and Pauline haven't been feeling well. Prayers you are back to normal health soon. @StLouisCruisers I'm sorry to hear about the lousy weather. Unfortunately it's one thing we can't control when we cruise. @Mr. Boston I hope your flight to Montreal went smoothly. @Haljo1935 I hope the eye procedure went well. Crazy weather indeed. @kazu I'm sorry your foot and legs aren't happy. Good about the catscan, although not how long you have to wait. I have Jose's gadget in green. @aliaschief Thanks for sharing your photos from Corfu. @smitty34877 I know it's good having DB there. Even way back when I went to my HS prom, we stayed up all night and watched the sun come up over the ocean at the beach 😗. I hope Tana is feeling ok. @RMLincoln Good job on keeping it up with DH's eye routine. I was sorry too to see Rafa out in the first round of the French Open. I wonder if he's thinking of retiring? @ger_77 I hope the Chiro's ministrations were of help to DH. @Cruzin Terri I'm glad your bloodwork was good. And steroid tapers take time and patience. I hope the injection and PT help the shoulder. I'm glad you had a good meeting with your PCP. So nice for you to socialize with friends. @Cruising-along Great news about Amber! Prayers for the Care List and a Toast to those Celebrating. 10

If it can be fixed and not too expensively, it could have a few more years in it. We've owned it for almost 25 years. We're not sure what year it is, but 1993 was the last year they had split seat backs. I'm sure we'll like the new one. I just hope the weather cooperates tomorrow. RMLincoln Posted May 29 #94 Share Posted May 29 Thrilled to hear that Amber is home! That is just Amazing considering all she’s been through. 👏👏👏 Very encouraging report Terri. Nice that the Ortho thinks surgery is a last option. And you got some good direction from PCP. Maybe that in itself will help your BP! Hugs! Lenda, RIP the golf cart. 🥂 Long live the new one! Glad you had help getting it, you and Steve home without hurting yourselves! Elizabeth, did I miss what happened about your eye procedure? 🤞 My dermatology office left me a portal message that my biopsy was benign. Yay! 🎉 Terry, Jones Beach would have needed a car for us! The ferry was definitely more our style! Safe travels for your DB. I’m sure it was a lift to have him to yourself these extra days. Vanessa, you accomplished a bunch! Good sleep tonight! 12
