Leaving as in never returning? No. Although there are several that probably should based on the commentary here. Open to other options? Of course. I need more variety than taking the same cruise 30+ times. They can keep the laundry bag and free coffee. We will not do mass market line to the Mediterranean or Europe again. Caribbean cruises will picked carefully and probably go more towards premium lines in the future. Lately we prefer the Edge class far more than S class so that does limit our Celebrity options.

I do sense Celebrity is morphing into Royal Caribbean more and more especially with the new status matching. We are not really interested in anything outside of suites for most cruises but feel a little stuck in the middle. We are probably too young and active to fully enjoy the premium to lux lines but losing interest in the mass market big ship cruises.

We are not thinking of leaving Celebrity when it comes to cruises, but the recent changes in pricing and other things have us thinking about going back to traditional land vacations (e.g. US national parks).

Wondering how many people out there are thinking of sticking with Celebrity or considering another line.

We have sailed most mainstream lines (not Holland yet) & sail them all (well, except MSC--probably never again--and DCL. MIL paid for that one!)

We see what is available on Celebrity, Princess, NCL & Carnival for our dates & itinerary desires. (RCCL too high w/o AI; Carnival is still tossing us $100 cruises via the casino).

Celebrity is our FAV...especially Eclass. So we watch for deals on them & may book just because we like to sail them!

I have been very loyal to Celebrity since I started cruising from the lowest Tier to Zenith and now Double Zenith.

I don't see any more value on Celebrity to  loyal customers and they don't care for me either. How can a customer with Zero point from Royal Caribbean enjoy the same benefits as me ?

I have a cruise booked with Cunard and see how it works out.

What do you consider is too young?

Subjective, obviously. You also skipped over my "active" comment. I'm 40 and occasionally get bored in the Retreat areas of a Celebrity ship. An entire ship with nothing but that level of quiet would be dull for me. That is where Celebrity excels in having options, especially on Edge class.

We're not leaving Celebrity.  We currently have 12 booked until the end of February 2025 but we are also cruising on HAL.  We love the Canada New England cruises out of Montreal and Quebec offered by HAL.  We miss the 14 day Celebrity itineraries out of Bayonne and Florida.  The shortening of Celebrity cruises sailing out of North American ports is pushing us to the great HAL offerings.  I like HAL's Pinnacle ships more than the Edge series.  Our Celebrity cruises are on the S&M ships.

Nope - got 17 more with X booked for the next 18 months 😎

We all wish we could be “you,” but we can’t.  I am doing Oceania for a TA next May because I like the itinerary and have lots of time to spend in Portugal, especially Algarve.  It is a smaller ship, but want to try something different. This fall is Ascent’s TA, along with a b2bTA next year on Apex again.  I need to balance my cruises with a car and driving, spending more in-depth time in several places.

I love all your photos and adventures, so keep ‘em coming!🤗

Oceania certainly looks a very interacting line to cruise with - have a great time !!

thanks for your comments about my pics, so much to come from NEW places I've not been too, so I'm super excited !!

Alaska, Japan and Antarctica coming up, oh and maybe the Arctic Circle too  🤩

Not giving up on Celebrity (have 7 more booked in the coming year) but am definitely, for the first time in 30 years (save for a couple Royal cruises) looking at other options.  Why? I am so frustrated by some of the changes made, including the ones they rolled back.  Specifically what is driving me (possibly) away now are two things - the removal of footstools and now loungers on the balconies and being told the hard to believe reason is "safety" (I spend LOTS of time on my balcony and want to be comfortable) and the status match program recently implemented which highly favors Pinnacle members over Zenith members.  I finally made Zenith and now things that used to be special like nice lunches and Retreat lounge access will be overrun with people.  I also fear that despite reassurances some of our benefits will be reduced over time due to the significantly higher cost of providing those benefits to so many additional passengers.

But is this not part of your business as an internet influencer?  BTW, I also love your posts and pictures.

But I'm not a paid influencer (very common myth) I pay for all of my cruises and always have and simply post as a hobby 🙋‍♂️ and thanks

lots of people say I should be paid, but I'm not.

Silversea has many expedition cruises that are much more active than most Celebrity cruises. They go to very unique places too. I, for one, am too old for a lot of those adventures.

Yes, for the good you are doing for them you definitely should be paid!

Not loyal to anyone cruise line.

Same here.  Could not vote yes or no because we have always mixed it up.  We have not used Celebrity since covid because their offerings for price/itinerary were not as appealing as others we enjoy.  We will enjoy Celebrity again should that change.

I only started cruising in the last few years, I'm not really loyal to anyone line I look at the routes and ships.

I had three lines booked for next year, MSC, NCL and Celebrity - unfortunately had to cancel NCL but still leaving two cruises with two different lines

I didn’t skip, just wondered at what age you thought was too young to travel on premium lines. Personally, I think that age has nothing to do with it as we all cruise for different reasons and want different things from our vacations. Some on here want more choice of specialty restaurants, others want front-facing views such as the Sky Lounge, some prefer spending lots of their time in the spas and others will repeat the same itineraries over and over again (something that others may find dull), but pax choose for what their preferences are and not what others think. So, I concur, choice is good 👍.

Began with X on Zenith back in '93, moved to Royal when kids were young and then back to X.  Haven't sailed with them post covid though.  We don't see value in Retreat and prefer longer sailings so have moved over to Viking where we've done a River, a couple of Ocean and have Antarctica coming up.  Price is a bit above an X verandah but cheaper than Retreat and they offer lots of inclusions.  Love their personalized service and food.  Need to factor in no kids, no casino and small time entertainment.

I started (solo) cruising less than two years when I retired and have only cruised with Celebrity until now. Relatively early on I gave some advice/feedback on a survey and made 3 recommendations to Celebrity - (1) maintain an all-inclusive option (2) keep some longer and varied itineraries (3) recognize the need to recoup losses from the shutdown and to pay down debt but avoid making a series of cutbacks and changes that diminish the overall Celebrity product. The first "response" was to cancel three cruises I had booked with longer/interesting itineraries (Europe and South America) so that the ships could be repositioned to the Caribbean for shorter sailings. My other two recommendations didn't work out so well either and for good measure Celebrity launched what appeared to be a pricing policy to discourage/punish solo cruisers. Fortunately with a good TA and travel flexibility, I still have been able to find cruises within my price range. I remain a big fan of the onboard Celebrity product and have had 13 excellent cruises to date and have more Celebrity cruises planned for later this year and next year. That said, I am also trying out other lines, starting with HAL in August. I appreciate the commentary and suggestions posted here on Cruise Critic - very helpful in thinking about future cruises and considering the pros and cons of different lines.

You can now enjoy pinnacle perks on RCL. Also, you can cruise in the top category on silver seas.

A positive attitude can go along way in enjoyment of other cruise lines😁

Status matching for Silversea gets a Celebrity Elite the same benefits as Zenith.  Sort of insulting to top tiers of X and all the tiers at Silversea.
