If that is right, Rhapsody might spend the southern summer of 2016/17. In Australia. That would be very well received down here and they would have no trouble selling out a full season.

Rhapsody is doing 7 night cruises out of Tampa from Dec 2016 until April 2017 when she has a TA scheduled to return to the Med.

Theses are all available to book.

But so was the fall TA as well as the PC Bahamas cruises. ;)

2 weeks for the cancelled TA, and 3 weeks for the time between the original arrival in PC and the first cruise out of Tampa.

Rumor on our roll call is the TA has been cancelled for a full ship charter. Maybe furious is appropriate after all.

If I'm not mistaken, a full charter is about 1.5 Mil per week plus guaranteed bar and casino. So "furious" might apply but I can certainly understand why the cruise line would do this.

I just don't see Rhapsody being chartered across the pond - ships get chartered in a certain area but very rarely on a TA.

Thank you for that.

Just checked and the last cruise on RCI UK is 7th October, round trip Venice and next one is December out of Tampa.

With regards comments about a chartered TA , can't see it myself. We have done 21 TAs since 2003 , not one was ever cancelled for a charter . Ships have sailed without guests to do construction onboard but not chartered. Just my thoughts.

Looks like our September cruise is fine though:)

We still have a Venice to Rome cruise on the 17th no change to that one has been mentioned. Strange that you can't see it. I have not looked, but roll call has not mentioned it yet.

I think we were the only ones doing a 3 leg.

So, it was suggested to start a new thread for the new year (2016 - 2017)

What ships will be sailing where? Speculation welcome :D

I believe the Harmony of tht Seas begins it's sailing next year. It is supposed to do Europe before being deployed to Ft. Lauderdale in the U.S.

Hi, I double checked again today, still only showing 7th October out of Venice and 10th December out of Tampa.

I also checked a well known UK agent who are owned by RCI. For the missing dates with RCI UK on the agent's website it says to call which is speak for N/A in my book. The plot thickens. It will all become clear in time.

One of my TAs thought a Full Ship Charter too. But like you, I never heard of one for that long, nor a Transatlantic. Some company must have done well!

TA was certainly surprised at getting the letter about the Redeployment and getting reaccommodated. And its nice getting the extra OBC. I'm glad we had lots of time.

And like others have said - prices on the Jewel were substantially reduced in the past two weeks. And thanks to Royal Caribbean's Captain's Club Balcony Discount - Balcony Cabins were LOWER than Oceanview! Still are too.

We were able to book an Aft Balcony for less than the price of some Oceanview cabins - just amazing - and since we originally booked before the Gratuity increase, and had designated My Time Dining, we weren't hit with the new Gratuity Rate either. Thank you Royal Caribbean.

Now we have to look for a different B2B.

Mariner of the Seas is doing cruises in 2017 longer then usual out of Singapore in March. Normally repositioning to China happens early March. No repositioning for sale to China in this deployment.

Is there a possibility that Mariner might be based year round in Singapore in 2017?

  • 3 weeks later...

A recently published brochure for the Harmony of the Seas confirms that she is scheduled for only one European season in 2016 and then will remain 'year-round Port Everglades from November 2016'

With the announcement that the Norwegian Epic will also be placed at Port Canaveral from November of 2016 and will then cross to Barcelona in April of 2017, is Oasis now again the most likely ship to cross to Barcelona for RCI in 2017?

Will RCI maybe reduce European inventory and send Freedom over?

I think Oasis will stay in PC year round. I think Allure will go over to Europe again, leaving only Harmony in PE. So one year round Oasis ship in PE, one year round in PC, and then one seasonally in PE.

With the release of the new Harmony brochure confirming that she has only one season in Europe and then will stay year-round at Port Everglades, one more clue was given for 2017 summer deployment.

That is certainly a possibility, but I even see the possibility of all 3 Oasis staying in Florida to hold market share against all the new inventory coming in to South Florida.

The new 'Suite enhancement' are certainly an answer to MSC and with MSC offering the 'status match' for loyalty, things are certainly heating up.

That's also a possibility. I also think they would regret pulling Oasis out of PC for the summer. We just saw what happened when they tried to skip out on the 3/4 night summer market.

At least an Oasis move would most likely involve a seasonal replacement ship, where NCL are only seasonal at PC.

I am just guessing that when they add the waterslides to Oasis and Allure that they are going to do an additional dry-dock for both Oasis and Allure and add the deck 4 solo cabins, move the Diamond lounge and Comedy Club and re-fit them to meet Harmony standards and generally get the deck plans in 'harmony'

I was just thinking they might do at least one of these at Cadiz and the other in the Bahamas.

I am guessing Freedom will get the Liberty waterslides in an additional dry dock.
