Cruzaholic41 Posted February 13, 2018 #2 Share Posted February 13, 2018 How classy. I’m so glad Carnival Corp bans people like this from all their subsidiary brands.

whogo Posted February 14, 2018 #5 Share Posted February 14, 2018 Love the phraseology, they describe things differently down there: "A 37-year old Russian woman has been charged with allegedly glassing a 21-year-old man with an empty wine bottle..." and "investigators charged her with reckless wounding and affray." Rare OzKiwiJJ Posted February 14, 2018 #6 Share Posted February 14, 2018 Three night P&O Australia cruises are well known for being booze cruises, unfortunately. The six men that were taken off the ship were quoted as saying "It was one hell of a bucks party. It was just boys being boys." What I wonder is what type of "boys being boys" behaviour would trigger a woman to hit one of them with a bottle? Apparently she has been released on bail. It will be interesting to see if any more details come out in the court case. Texas Tillie Posted February 14, 2018 #7 Share Posted February 14, 2018 I had a conversation once with a ship's doctor who had started his ship doctoring career on P&O Australia. He said that he frequently had to bring his syringe when security couldn't control certain drunks.
bigwally Posted February 14, 2018 #8 Share Posted February 14, 2018 Hitting someone with a bottle is not glassing. Glassing is when you smash a bottle and then jam the jagged edge into someone. Entirely more savage and violent.

Krazy Kruizers Posted February 14, 2018 #11 Share Posted February 14, 2018 Thank you for the link. The Russian woman has a hearing in a month. By taking her passport, which they should do, she will have no choice but to go to the hearing.

navybankerteacher Posted February 15, 2018 #17 Share Posted February 15, 2018 Unbelievable. Not so unbelievable - a three day cruise does not usually attract sophisticated travelers. They tend to draw yahoos who believe that recreation cannot be properly undertaken while sober.
