What is the latest that someone was notified that they won their bid?

I was notified 48 hrs prior. Shocked me as I was expecting the denial the next day.

This was for an inside to unobstructed  balcony.  Just a weird win. Maybe someone higher up cancelled a suite like in a previous post.

We put in for a Jr Suite and Ultra Spacious Balcony about 5 weeks ago. Sail on May 5 Oasis of the Seas. The Suites have been sold out even though many cruisers cancelled because of the fated TA trip. Didn't expect anything from it but received confirmation yesterday that our Royal Up to Jr Suite was accepted. (6 days before sailing)

Do people still get calls from Royal offering an upgrade (at a certain price) or has this officially replaced those calls?

I have not seen anything official but all reports of Upsell fairy calls have stopped since Royal Up started.

Just got my RoyalUp email for  7 dayJune 30th sailing on Harmony.  We are currently in an oceanview balcony room on deck 8 (8278).  Current offer is $300pp for Junior Suite, $700 pp for Grand Suite, $1100pp for Owners Suite.  They have other offers such as spacious balcony room and ultra spacious balcony room but I didn't even see those rooms on our cruise so I'm just going to ignore them.  Would you upgrade at these prices?

Too much for us for the jump to JS, especially since there would be no extra C&A points.

Our cruise sails in 10 days Symphony, I have gotten my 4th Royal Up email. We are currently in a balcony on the 8th deck in one of the pre-hump balconys. For 300 each=$600 would it be worth the offer for the minimum offer on a JR Suite?

If it's a 7-night cruise, then it's too much for us.

Got the Royal up email for the third time today. We are in a crown loft suite. There are 4 of us so we decided to go for the bid to a 2 bedroom aqua suite. We bid the minimum if $410 pp split 4 ways it’s $200 pp which is totally worth it but not feeling confident but what the heck right?  We will be happy with our crown loft suite anyway. This is for the Allure May 26th sailing

I thought that JS received the extra C&A points.  We have received the double points in the past.

No double points when upgraded thru the RoyalUp program unless you were already in a stateroom that got double points such as going from a JS to a GS

On Oasis class, those upgrade bids are not bad. For us, the extra cabin space has real value. I think the GS bid is reasonable, and in almost all instances, a lot less than you could get a GS for over a regular balcony.  Even without the double C&A points, you get twice the space, huge bathroom, better vanity setup, full room service menu at no charge, access to Suite lounge, Coastal Kitchen, free VOOM...  On the Oasis class, its not a bad deal, but you have to value the extra space. We certainly do, and I would consider a bid.

We're sailing on the Symphony of the Seas on June 29 in a Suite Guarantee and received a Royal Up offer yesterday.  We can upgrade to a Grand Suite for $400pp, Owner Suite or CL for $800pp  and Aqua Theater Suite for $1100pp- however, the RCCL website still lists our cabin as GTY (not assigned).  I know that we'll probably get a Jr Suite with the Guarantee, but shouldn't we at least wait until we're assigned before upgrading?  Is it worth $800 total for a Grand Suite?  Thanks for the help 🙂

For me I picked my room and will be happy with it even if I don’t get the upgrade I’m looking for. I will likely participate in the royalup program and go for a grand suite. I’m in a BB that I booked at its cheapest in 2/18 and if it’s a 800-1200 min on a grand suite I’ll offer a tad bit more. That would still save me thousands had I booked the GS originally.

If the upsell is $410pp then isn't it 4X $410 since you have 4 people or does PP only apply to the 1st two in the cabin?  My wife and I are traveling with our 16 year old son  and ignored all upsells to this point due to understanding that they would charge for EACH person.  Not just the 1st two in the cabin

Always two, even when you are solo

If you're not diamond then the Grand Suite would get you into the lounge for free drinks in the evening and Coastal Kitchen all day

No they only charge the first 2 in the cabin

Just an FYI.

I am booked on my first Celebrity to Alaska and they have the Move-up program that you can bid on without being asked.  I wanted to bid on the Penthouse Suite, but it would not recognize my reservation, so I emailed them and they responded and said, "At this time "your big box TA" has opted out of the program and we cannot extend a move up offer to you."

SO it looks as if the TA's have to opt into the program.

As a TA I have not had to opt into the program and my clients have received the offers, both on Celebrity and Royal.   Could be something specific with that one big box TA but it certainly does not apply to all.

It’s only for the first 2 with any bid on any cabin

We are on Jewel of the Seas 4 nights from Rome on 12 June.  We have a balcony #9000 (not great).  We have been offered:

JS £235pp

Ocean View Suite (2 Bedroom/no Balcony) £155pp

Spacious Ocean View Balcony £35pp

We don't want/need the two bedroom with no balcony.  What do you think of the other offers?

We won our bid but the Loyalty Ambassador had labeled all our stuff for the old room. Had to chase everything down

Too bad there are no double points when upgrading from a regular cabin to a suite. Way more incentive to upgrade if there are added points.

We got our fourth Royal Up email for our May Harmony cruise.  This is our first cruise.  Can you tell me which (if any) are worth it?  7 day cruise.

We are in a Large Balcony with Ocean View, just 2 people.  Ocean view is important (I think I read somewhere that some of the Junior Suites have obstructed views.)

Crown Loft - $1000 pp

Owners - $900 pp

Grand Suite - $500 pp

Junior Suite - $250 pp

Ultra Spacious Ocean View with Large Balcony - $150

I have no frame of reference since I am a newbie.  I have a nice room on the 10th floor right now.  I would not mind an upgrade but not if my view will be obstructed or if I will be above or below a bunch of noise.  How do I find out where suites are located on the Harmony to know where I could be placed?

Any thoughts or help could be appreciated.  We are sold out but I have seen some people get last minute upgrades even being sold out.

Thank you!!!
