Bonus Captains Club point offer

Just received an email about bonus CC points offer on TA crossings.  

 

Here's the relevant paragraph.

 

The blissful relaxation of more uninterrupted days at sea may be one of the sweetest benefits of all on our transatlantic and transpacific sailings. Now, we're offering a bonus to our Captain's Club members on our upcoming crossings. Earn between 20 and 25 bonus Club Points when you book a veranda stateroom or higher on select 2019 crossings from now until August 14, 2019.

 

In the email they mention four cruises, I would guess you would have to call CC for further info.

I'm not sure why but these extra point offers really bother me.  That's equivalent to 5 days in a CC or AQ room.   Something which I would have spent $100's ( or $1000's on Edge ) of dollars pp to obtain.

I'm on SIL October 24th and the ship has many unsold cabins. They've used "bonus" points in the past the fill ships. Thank goodness I no longer need to consider points!

I would consider but even with an additional 20 points, I still wouldn't even be close to Zenith and I'm already elite plus.

Reflection sailing 11/5 tons of cabins available.

This will be our 25th crossing and never have seen availability anything like I see now.

Wonder if it has anything to do with charging stupid prices for crossings early on and having very few bookings.  Now prices have dropped by like half and still lots of inventory.  

Of course Suite prices in insane range for a crossing and almost fully booked.  Go figure.

yes I am very experienced at this and actually don't have perks .They are rare on a TA but they were offered for a short few days on this one and the price was up to cover them

Bonus points are an interesting incentive but don't do much for me.  I don't consider Captain's Club points as having any value.  The price I'm going to pay is the only thing that matters to me.

But you'd be 20 points closer to a new level between elite+ and Zenith if it ever materializes. 😉

I heard from CC host.They are thinking a tier between Elite + and Zenith.

 Infinity wasn’t mentioned in my email, but I’m glad they added it. As to the mythical level that was first promised approximately four years ago, I think they are waiting to get the website perfect first. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha 😪😪😪😪

Am I the only one who never gets these Captain's Club emails or offers?  I am signed up to receive emails but never get them.  For that matter I get almost daily marketing emails from RCCL but never from Celebrity.  That's OK but I would like to see special offers like this one and also get the Captain's Club pre-sale email when the new itineraries are announced.
