Jimbo Posted August 24, 2021 #27351 Share Posted August 24, 2021 My travel agent just sent an email from her agency that Celebrity or their agency is offering free Air for 1st and 2nd passengers for 3 to 5 night sailings to the Caribbean. Sounds like a nice offer, but I assume the offer is out there because no one is booking cruises. Wonder if Royal Caribbean will be following that offer. Sail dates for the offer are from September 11, 2021 to November 18th 2021. All Categories.

Now when someone presses the little like button at the lower right corner of a post, CC now lists who pushed it, not just a number of users who reacted. Looks like CC is still upgrading and is probably why we occasionally have posting problems. Now that they have changed the react button it seems to happen quickly and without hanging. This new system they are using looks like the same one they use on rc blog.

Massive rock and flat beach front. Too cold for swimming even in August but walking along the beach is nice We drove along the Columbia River on our way from Crater Lake to the Oregon coast. After we got to Portland, we did a lot of extra driving to be able to cross the wonderful bridges, especially the ones designed by Condé McCullough. We stayed in hotels on the coast and loved all of the beaches!

Take care everyone. Graham. What a lovely anniversary dinner. I hope you enjoy many more in future years. 1

I like being at the airport, watching planes come and go, listening to some music, and enjoy the anticipation of the week that is beginning. I do too! Eric not so much. He gets too antsy if he has to just sit there so I always tell him to go walk around while I sit and watch the activities. He's okay if he is at one of the lounges such as the Amex Centurion, probably because they have alcohol. I also love to people watch and you definitely can be very entertained in an airport.

Hi Lenny, Thank you for the clarification. I think the original point was meant - and strictly my own interpretation - is that those that live in NYC drive a lot less than those that live in the suburbs or rural areas of the country, hence less chance of a flat. My NYC friends that own cars that are 10 years old and only have 30-35,000 miles on them. For comparison sake, I own 2 cars that get 15,000 miles per year each (pre-pandemic), driving on everything from the mean, potholed streets of NYC to the rocky, dirt roads of rural upstate (the real upstate) NY. It's been over 25 years since I had a flat. Call it luck or superior driving skills...😉

Homes up here are way too overpriced for what you get right now. Though I am getting constant emails on price drops lately. I think the conversation with their listing agents have gone like this: "But you told me I could get this much for my house, and now it's not sold and we are headed into the winter!!!" 😮😉 It's still a "seller's" market right now, even up here, but not nearly as bad as the feeding frenzy in Florida! 😮 Prices are still too high. My unprofessional guess...the market will turn next year...hopefully more buyer friendly by then. I am a mortgage underwriter and can tell you we have definitely seen a slow down in the last 2 weeks in many states. Prices are still high and inventory is still low but like you said some realtors over priced their listings and they are now having to reduce to get more inline with where they should be at. And a lot of sales have had appraisal issues. Just finished up a loan approval for a home that went to contract for $85,000 higher than list price but it only appraised for $15K higher than list price. So now the buyers either have to come up with $70K out of pocket or terminate the contract and lose their $10K earnest deposit. I would never recommend anyone buy a home that doesn't appraise for the purchase price but lots of people have been doing that in the last year, especially cash buyers that don't bother getting an appraisal done.
