Royal Caribbean Cruisers -- How Are Things Where You Are? (was "Routine" 😁 day in lockdown... how was yours?)

Out to dinner tonight, and stopped at the Blackout Burger Bar, because someone was craving a burger.  I guess it was because of too much healthy eating lately.

My burger was piled high.

Yes, that is bacon in there too.  Bacon makes everything better.

Nah - beetroot does.  Can’t have a burger without beetroot slices (it’s an Aussie tradition)

Told DS that he will be getting belated Easter goodies this year.  Instead of Easter goodies, he has asked me to bring over some Aussie snacks that he is missing.  His list:

I will be bringing over 3 of the above plus a tin of Milo (chocolate flavoured malted milk powder for cold or hot drinks).

Looks like we are going to find a new family doctor.   Our current has been thinking about retirement. 2 weeks ago he passed out at the office and severely hit his head.  From what I heard he is still in the hospital.   His patients are being assigned to other doctors in his building.

I’m so sorry to hear that. Hope he’s ok.

When I get moved I will update the kitchen, at least appliances. I havent made a final decision on replacing the cabinets. They are dated but in good condition.

For sure all the appliances. The refrigerator has a wall on both sides and I was told the condo really doesnt like people removing walls so I cant go bigger than what will fit in the space between the walls. Replace with stainless appliances. You can see a cabinet just beyond the refrigerator and the brown stripe where you put your fingers to pull open cabinets. So it's not just a matter of replacing hardware, all the kitchen cabinets would have to be totally replaced. I gutted the kitchen here, it's a big job. I'll decide when I get there.

They dictate what you do inside of your unit? SMH 🤦‍♀️ Is it a load bearing wall? Maybe that’s what they are referring to?

At breakfast this morning I saw a 3 or 4 yr old boy grab his dad's mimosa and drink it while the parents sat on their phones.   Then watched the boy drink the pitcher of creamer.

I wanted to say something but thought best to mind my own business.

Then outside the terminal while waiting for our Lyft home I watched this woman try to negotiate with uber driver to pay $60 instead of $100.   She was getting very upset and Everyone was telling her they don't negotiate and will charge her a cancellation fee.   Her husband stood off to the side just shaking his head.

People🤣🤣🤣

😲 oh my, hope he was ok, can't believe parents didn't notice.  Shake my head over how social media and smart phones is changing parenting

@sgmn   I hope you are having a wonderful Mother's Day💐😊

Thank you Debbie.

Matt and Isaac came round and Gary cooked a roast.  Nick n Co were meant to come but Theo developed crusty eyes and in case its conjunctivitis they just did a socially distanced hello and goodbye. This time of year it alwaya seems one of them has something.

We also visited our mums graves to leave flowers

Yes it's pretty but I am so done with snow.  It is supposed to warm up in the next few days, sure hoping it does, ready to go back south.

Hi April!  I wish you guys were joining us too, but family weddings are important!  Your picture above looks like Clinton, NJ??  My sister lived there for 15 years, now she is NC too!

Yes that is Clinton, we were there 26 years over by Round Valley and 5 years in High Bridge before that.  Great place to live and raise kids, not at all what most think NJ is like.
