Hi CC friends!  It has been a rough 10 days.  As some already know from that other site that shall remain nameless, I lost my dear father very unexpectedly on April 18th.  He was in good health up to the very end and would have been 88 this August.  I returned home today after a week down in North Carolina, where he lived, to help my sister take care of all the "things".  My sister moved down there from NJ last summer.  While I am still a little bit in shock that he is gone (my mother died in 2014), I am so thankful he was living life to the fullest up to the very end and we were all together the first weekend of April for a fun filled time.  My father had moved into a lovely independent living community in the fall of 2022 so he had downsized quite a bit which was very helpful this past week as were emptying his apartment.  I also urge everyone to have all their important papers organized in a file for your loved ones, should anything happen unexpectedly as did for us.  Even though we knew where all the "stuff" was he still had little post it notes all over his desk of passwords for his computer.  😃  We will be having a Celebration of Life in the summer down in NC for him.

So sorry for your loss.  No matter their age losing a parent is always tough.  May his memories bring you and the family peace.

Before any more time passes I better finish off our weekend of sports review.

At our seats they had a menu and jelly snacks waiting for us. The seats are amazingly comfy and also have phone charger ports below the table top. You can see it in the row behind ours.

Some the most comfortable ball seats we have ever sat in. 😜

Much nicer than the washrooms for the masses.

I wouldn’t want to think of the payroll for these 3.

How about some baseball food porn. We didn’t have one of every item but we probably had more than half of the items.

Between the items below pop corn, peanuts and a couple hot dogs were consumed. Lisa only had the items noted below.

Owen started with the Oreo snack.  Yes that’s an oversized spoon.

I had the lobster roll.

@jmh2006  Jen, my heart goes out to you, Dave, Zachary, and your sister Martha.  I know how close you were to your Dad.  You talked about him to me during our Beyond cruise.  Btw, you look just like your Mom.  (((Hugs)))❤️

Great minds think alike. Love our clock. Also great advice for me.

If only we can win that lottery!

Thanks Deb! Great advice.

I understand nervousness. My only advice would be to go and enjoy without anticipation of any problems.

Jays lost, and as it turns out the Leafs did too. That said we had a good time at both events.

Lisa started in the row behind us and the isle back. After the second period Glen the usher told Lisa to join us.

Owen and I only had beverages but Lisa had a proper prime rib sandwich. I might have had half and the some of the chips.

During TV timeouts Sampsonov the starting goalie would come to the bench for some water and meditation.

The airbrush work on the mask it amazing.

At the end of the game Mitch Marner gave Owen his stick, which scored the only goal for Toronto. It brought about a lots of conversations with random folks on the walk back to the hotel. The drunks were the best. LOL
