I was shocked when my son told me that they looked into flights for his in-laws to fly from China. They were looking at 15k per person, round trip in economy. Wow, that's a crazy price

I said no if you dont close by may 30 I'm done, I'll call one of those cash buyers always hounding me to sell. Here I was ready to move, called movers, had tags on stuff not to neve, and he has been busy and didnt do anything. So I'm here in san antonio at my friends house. Its gorgeous though it's been a rainy day. We ate mexican some place good and she picked out a movie with a Louisiana storm and hungry alligators. Lol. Seriously that's how it was advertised. Only 2 people got out alive. Going to riverwalk tomorrow unless it rains worse. Rainy all day here and coolish. We have one more friend from 50 years ago living amelia island florida so she can come visit us both. They did 2 cruises, this spring a river cruise in florida on American cruises. She doesnt live more than 100 people on her cruises. I took her in a suite once on royal and fancy suite hotel and she wasnt impressed, not her thing. They took american cruises to alaska too and loved it. They sold off the rest of their acerage but kept 2 acres and a enormous house. Some random pictures, dont want to post when we have time together but I did make it here. We have all been friends since I was about 23. She and i hiked to the bottom of the grand Canyon, she came to visit me in hawaii, we went out west camping in national parks. Hard to believe 50 years. Gorgeous gardens! I posted from my Google photos online. Made collages of most pictures to cut down on size but (of course) I can see them all fine. It happened to me before as well when copying from google photos. So now, if I'm on a windows PC, I use the snip-it tool and then paste in the post. dp

Jimbo Posted May 4 #120634 Share Posted May 4 (edited) Dinner last night at Southport Gourmet and Sushi Bar. We shared an Entree and a Sushi Roll. Also an interesting house build here as the builder built the house around this very old tree in their front yard. Zoom in to the 2 pictures and you can see how the roof edge is built around the very large tree limb. Edited May 4 by Jimbo

On a windows PC, they just show as a link, but when you click on it, it brings up a broken link symbol. I have had instances of some photos not posting from certain programs. I found that doing a screenshot, then cropping and posting that works fine. As an added benefit, the file size to upload is smaller. 1
Rare Sea Dog Posted May 4 #120636 Share Posted May 4 Day 2 shenanigans in Hilton Head Breakfast at the Sunrise Cafe. Crab cake Benedict. Amazing. Time to walk it off. To the beach we go. A short 20 minute walk. Dinner at the Salty Dog to watch my best friend Dave play. Oysters. Very tiny and ok. Grilled Mahi Mahi that was good but a little dry. The gang enjoyed the music. Another classmate who lives in the area. Lenny who is retired Navy. Worked in Trident nuclear submarines. My next door neighbors who I have known for over 60 years. Steve and Mary. All in all a good day. My one classmate that I was worried about said a few stupid things trying to push my buttons and I just rolled my eyes. He later apologized. Fair enough. 29

I saw a clip this morning of an interview with Jerry Seinfeld by Rich Eisen where Jerry explains some unknown facts about the famous "Marine Biologist" episode. He said that he came up with the idea to connect Kramer's golf ball with the distressed whale at 2 am prior to filming day. Before that, the distressed whale and Kramer hitting golf balls into the ocean were just two separate story lines in the episode. George's speech .. "The sea was angry that day my friends..." was also written at 2am the night before and Jason Alexander was given 30 minutes to memorize 2 1/2 pages of new script before shooting (and 100% nailed it). To top it all off, they needed to get approval from Titleist right before the episode in order for Kramer to be able ask if the ball George found in the whales blow hole was "a Titleist." by name. I found the story fascinating so I thought I would share with fellow Seinfeld enthusiasts. Starts at 2:05. Major Seinfeld lover here. Thanks to you and @bobmacliberty for these clips. Can't get enough Seinfeld!

firefly333 Posted May 4 #120642 Share Posted May 4 We are up and no rain yea. Pictures will be clearer today. Still drinking coffee. She has a deer cam for when deer come into her yard and 5 bird feeders. It's kinda north of san antonio, barely past new braumfield where I've done white water. Great area. It's a vacation all the time. They turned their swimming pool into a koi pond. Lol

We are kind of looking for something more laid backed, thought Southport was that place but there is a lot of growth happening there to even in the last 3 years that we have been going there. Seems nothing can hide from expanding can it? You're not kidding! We moved here 7 years ago, Two new red lights made their appearance just around my block, a new 55 and over community built around when we moved in, and the ground clearing in all directions of our town, an entire community of townhouse buildings are partially occupied while more buildings going up there, and way more ground clearing where low income housing will be going up. I don't know where our town is going to find the room in our schools to contain the population of children who will be attending. Rte 9 is only a one lane road, and our other main road is only two-lane.

MJSailors Posted May 4 #120648 Share Posted May 4 We plan to watch the Kentucky Derby race, not all the pre race coverage. We looked over the horses slated to run. DH picked Fierceness as Velazquez is the jockey and he usually roots for him. I picked Track Phantom. We’ll see! Seems the favorite is Sierra Leone. We don’t bet on much, but we have placed bets on the KD at a local OTB in the past. Are there any OTB places anymore? A number of years ago, we attended a family wedding near Louisville KY. Since it was a late afternoon wedding, we used the morning time to take a tour of Churchill Downs. It is a beautiful place. We have also gone to Belmont Park for both the big race and other times for regular races. My DH’s grandfather was a member of the Track and Field club there and he would lend us his pass to have lunch at the club and watch the races. Belmont has been changed to a casino and entertainment venue, although the race track remains. Wishing you all a winning day! MJ🙋🏻♀️

My friend and I watched the movie The Challengers at a movie theater along with maybe 8 other moviegoers. It is pitiful how few people go to the movies. Perhaps, it is because the movie was so bad . Too long , too many flashbacks and it was rated R. She is my former doubles tennis partner and it is about tennis . I would have left but she wanted to stay. No chance of staring at phones at our table . No phones , books or newspapers allowed. 5
