More sick grand babies.  My SIL tested positive Friday, my daughter tested positive this morning and this afternoon the 2 month old spiked a fever so they are at Hasbro Children’s Hospital.  The 3 and 5 year old appear fine and are with them in a family suite treatment room.  We offered to pick up the girls but they don’t want us exposed - the least of my concerns. 🙏

Prayers for all of you.  I know exactly what you are going through🙏🤞

Beautiful Saturday in Sydney yesterday.  Did a guided 1.5hr wattle walk in the wildflower gardens  followed by walking Max for 3hrs so DH & his friend could watch the Olympic Marathon in its entirety in peace (Max gets over excited when we have visitors).

So sorry to hear about the sickness in your family.  I hope they recover quickly.  It's nice that the hospital has a family suite treatment room.  I'm not familiar with that.  How does that work?

That is too long! When is your next one? Obviously after football season.

Right now not until next March unless I get something booked in January.

Speaking of football season, is Andrew playing?

Tomorrow is the beginning of the 2nd cruise. We did find the other magnet this morning on a crew only door on our deck. No big deal anymore all magnets are inside rooms now. They do not have any ice dispensers in windjammer you have to ask for ice. A lot of people are getting ice from coke freestyle machines.

Yes! He is very excited about football starting again. Last year he missed out on nearly the whole season due to the large cast he had for his broken finger, so we are hoping for an injury-free year in 8th grade.

Great! I remember his disappointment last year. However, I would have let him play. I remember one year we had a guy on the team with a broken arm. He broke the cast 3 times while playing. He wanted to play, his parents agreed, and I was not motivated to stop him.😊 His orthopedist just kept on applying new casts.🙂

We were 100% in favor of him playing. We spoke to his coaches many times about it and they were not helpful at all in letting us know what to do or buy to make it safe and possible (for the other players). They just did not want to deal with it. Finally, I bought foam myself and created a cover for the cast, with not much guidance about what was needed. After that, they put him in for ONE play each game. 🙄

My sense is that this went well? Looking forward to your thoughts.

Your sense would be correct.  Once I'm home & can take the time to best convey my thoughts & feelings,  I'll post them.

It was a lovely sunny Sunday in Sydney today.

Went into the city & we saw lots of fit looking people walking around the city with medals around their necks.  Had completely forgotten the City2Surf fun run was on this morning.  80,000+ entrants running/jogging/walking the 14km from Sydney CBD to Bondi Beach.

And the sun is all the way up. Port Canaveral off to the left. That cocoa beach where the land is.

I do have blinds on the balcony. Realized if I didnt want to see the sunrise I could close them. I have a friend who thought it was wierd I said I dont have curtains. I do have blinds. Just haven't pulled them.

We were in the city to see the Fleurs De Villes display on at the Botanic Gardens.  This year’s theme was VOYAGES.

New Zealand, USA, Italy, Portugal & Brazil were also featured.  Apparently the florists felt Blake Lively at The Met, best represented the Gilded Age of America 🤷‍♀️

Thank you for all the well wishes.  They were sent home around 10pm last night.  Baby had nursed very little during the day yesterday and was dehydrated. They gave him some Tylenol for fever and IV fluids and made sure he was nursing again.  I haven’t gotten an update yet this morning.
@derorim I’d never heard of the family suite treatment room either. I’ll ask my daughter about it today.
@aussielozzie18 the botanical garden displays are just gorgeous.  I would love to see something like that.

That's very good news!  I hope today goes well for them at home.
