Royal Caribbean Cruisers -- How Are Things Where You Are? (was "Routine" 😁 day in lockdown... how was yours?)

Recommended Posts

We stopped at Sam’s Club, and it was the first time we exited with their new system.

We have been using their mobile checkout for quite a while.  Just scan items as you put them in your cart, and they would check your mobile slip at the door.

They have now installed arches that you walk through as you exit the store. They say that the arches have cameras that scan your cart and compare it with your receipt. When we walked through this last time, they just told us we were good to go, and didn’t need to break stride.

We never have a lot in a cart, so not sure how it works in that situation, but it worked well for us.

Susan and I have been out on several trails the last couple days.

I love reading about your walks and seeing the pictures of the trails.  I wish I could do as much as you and Susan do!

There is a “new” walk in the Blue Mountains (approx 1hr west of Sydney CBD) The Grand Cliff Top Walk.  It was re-opened in March of this year after 4 years of work by the National Parks & Wildlife Service installing new bridges, sandstone steps & railings. The idea is you do the walk over two days.  The first stage is Wilson Park, near Wentworth Falls train station to Leura - approx 7km.  You then stay overnight in the pretty mountain town of Leura and then the next morning you re-join the walk and walk Leura to Katooma  - approx 11km.

I would have happily walked this over 2 days but DH & his brother decided we could do it over a day.  Our family group of seven, took 8hrs to walk it yesterday (two had knee & hip issues respectively).

Having walked many, many, many steps in that 20km trek yesterday, including a hard vertical walk down to Wentworth Falls and back up - that we discovered after doing it - wasn’t actually part of the walk - I  am ready to walk the 20km in our trek to the Lighthouse next year!ACA5CBB8-A001-4175-ACAD-7A074A7B4F97.thumb.jpeg.98d786639a0dcd4038abcfbe0ae2371b.jpeg

That looks like a beautiful walk.  Wish we had something that scenic near us.

Beautiful pictures but definitely not a walk I could do, not great with the stairs up or down.  Thanks for sharing.

Your bestie TS had a big pool party at her RI home.   I figured you were on the guest list along with Bradley Cooper and Ryan Gosling.

I knew I should have check my mail. The invite must be there.

Thank you Maryann and Graham for the birthday wishes for my grandson.

My iPhone just assembled some photos for memories of him through the years.  My, how he has grown (as have our other grandkids).  It is amazing to see the transformation in the last four summers we have had him.

Besides, I'm way too busy with high school football to be engaged in mundane party activities.
