Funny should say that. 25yrs ago tried to eat all of the 14 Meals served in one day. By time hit 8, was about done, end with Midnite Buffet total of 11...

Carnivsl used to do a second midnight buffer for the folks in the casino. It started around 1:30, but wasn't as lavish

Now...Now... Let's have a positive mindset and look at all the annoying things that will go *poof*:

1. No bad hygiene

2. No Children out of control

3. No Cutting in line

4. No putting food back in the buffet line (if it still exists)

5. No self serve in the WJ (if it still exists)

6. No lounge chair hogs

7. No overuse of the elevator

8. No saving seats

9. No traffic cones

10. No belly flop contests with 10,000 people huddled around the pool

There are at least 10 good things to look forward to...

Much worse than this.

D+ kicked out of CL.😭

Nah, I'm good. Things WILL settle down.😉

We can always just book a really nice suite..(I have a feeling there may be some available)....and order room service.

And I don't mind having my happy hour wine on the balcony versus going to the lounge...OH wait a minute...we have been doing that a lot lately on cruises earlier this year anyway.  😄

Obviously, you must not like the Washy Washy video playing in the cabin on boarding day. Lol

 Actually, I think that helped to set the tone at every venue.  That and the evil eye the hostesses gave you if you failed to wash or use the sanitizer.:classic_wink:

We could sit for hours on our aft balcony just watching the wake.

Room service 3 times a day for food and drink.

Cabin steward only needs to supply fresh towels and TP.

Sounds wonderful!  A few good books, wine we brought on (and wine they gave us), then watch the world go by one wave at a time on the balcony.  😉

...get into police mode and start enforcing:
- Where we can go, or when....ZONING areas at certain times;
- Tell us constantly when to wear the mask or when we can remove it;
- Remind us of social distancing by prodding a stick in between us;
- Wait for us to board and tell us our favorite venues are closed (or events) due to lack of staffing
Now, the surveys and questions about our health status pre-boarding is fine. Just let everyone enjoy the vacation we paid for. We don't want to be constantly policed or bothered.
If THIS is the future of cruising, count us out.

Looks like you will be holding off on cruising for the near future, as I expect some/most of these things to be part of the reopening strategies for cruiselines.  I totally understand the need for these strategies, and am willing to wait as long as it takes for a better cruise experience as Covid treatments and vaccines are developed.  No way am I going on a cruise if masks are required.

Lol,thats why cruising wont resume until social distancing isnt a thing anymore. Cruising will be impossible with social distancing. Oh and not fun at all if that matters to you on vacation.

Realize things have to settle down first, but wondering how much higher any cabin with a balcony will go (no matter its designation).

51 of 54 cruises in balcony cabins.

Personally we wouldn't cruise unless it is in a balcony cabin.

Privacy,fresh air and best of all a sea view.

I just want to be on a cruise - enjoying the balcony, and view of the ocean, and food 2 or 15 times a day.  Also adult beverages.  don't forget the adult beverages!

Same here, I am a positive thinker instead of all the dooms day stuff.  I want to cruise and hope to be on one soon.  They minute they open Royal up, we will be on a cruise.

Just got a price reduction on our 13 March and 20 March 2021 B2B Caribbean cruises on the Rhapsody.
