Good morning and thanks for the Daily Report.

Thank you for the meal suggestion, but I'm going to put a roast of beef into the crockpot for dinner tonight.

It's cool and rainy here, wish we had sunshine.  But I'll smile anyway, and hope to save my hearing,

Hope you have a wonderful day. Stay healthy.

Good Morning Rich and everyone. Thanks for the daily update.
It’s a beautiful sunny and cool morning. Dinner tonight will be steak on the grill with corn on the cob and baked potatoes.
Hope all is well with everyone, have a great day.

Thank you for today’s Daily, Rich! Hope all are well! I am smiling as I think of my CC  Sisters & fellow Dailyites and what a community the Editor in Chief has created.

I am going out to a fave local eatery that just reopened. I am hoping to have one of their amazing turkey & spinach quesadillas. And 🍷.

Stay well everyone!

Good morning Rich.  Love the sunshine so I smile all the time!  I don't know what hake is for the meal.  Have a blessed Sunday everyone.

Hake is a versatile and inexpensive alternative to cod. The soft and moist
fish can be baked, battered and fried, or used in soups and stews. In Spain
and Portugal, hake is one of the most popular types of fish and is
considered to be the best of the cod family.

Good morning, thanks for the Daily!  Almost every day this thread brings a smile to my face - whether it's national smile day or not.  I'll never have a billion dollars; I have family and friends both near and far, and to me that's worth far more.

I'll pass on the dinner suggestion, as we'll be having leftover porcupines and a green salad for dinner tonight.  And wine.

See y'all next month!

Smooth Sailing!  🙂🙂🙂

Good morning, Rich,

Thanks for the daily.  And, thanks for the lesson on hake.  I will look for it at the fish market since we love cod especially freshly caught cod her in New England.

Dinner will be something on the grill since it is cool but bright sunshine all day.

Hoping that June will bring some relief from Covid and that numbers all over the U.S. and the world will continue to fall.

Good morning and thanks for the report, Rich.  Today is DH's birthday, so I will let him choose what we will have for dinner.

I am wondering where all the ships will end up - and why are two heading for Reunion?  Is that just for refuelling?

Everyone, thank you for the birthday wishes to Pat!  This will be a very quiet birthday day for us - usually there is a gathering of some sort for all those special days.  We have also had two weddings in the next months postponed - or I should say, the weddings will go ahead, but very much smaller, and the festivities will be next year...  if there is a next year....

Roast Hake with chorizo is a gorgeous fish dish.  The raw fish is a very soft flesh but it firms during cooking.

Also known as Merluza in Spain,  Saumon Blanc in France and (I understand) Whiting in USA.

You will find it on most of the menus of chiringuitos in Southern Spain.
