No exemptions from the local chiropractor or other health professionals.

Right now I agree with you, might change my mind down the road but if a vaccine becomes available, then yes, in order to do some things proof of a vaccination should be required and if you can't or won't get one, then that is your choice but certain things will be off limits, at least or a while.

Retired from Pharmacy and in my seventies. Would I get vaccinated against Covid-19 YES, and not just to cruise.

I signed up for the Covid-19 vaccine trials just as my parents did for me so I could get the trial vaccination against Polio.

My older sisters both contracted Polio before I was born and I didn't.

No. From what I understand the vaccine will be very different, it permanently alters your genetic makeup in some way. I don't feel one can trust those involved these days compared to the days when the polio vaccine was developed.

I read an article last week that stated that the Wuhan Virus is endemic which means it will never go away, we will be first in line if possible for the vaccine.

It does not alter your genetic material. It teaches your cells to defend against the RNA component in the virus which makes it unable to replicate and make you sick. There are different types of vaccines being developed, but the RNA one is doing very, very well. The vaccines being developed are also using data and research from the SARS outbreak from over 15 years ago.

Where in the world did you get that? Seriously, where did you find that little tidbit?

This is exactly how conspiracy theories start. A person with no scientific knowledge hears the word RNA and all of a sudden spreads rumors that something is going to permanently alter your genetic makeup. Those that do not follow science all say AHA and further spread the conspiracy theory until the unscientific believe its truth.

1) I read actual science such as scientific, peer reviewed journals. Not conspiracy theory websites.

2) I have 2 family members working on one of the RNA vaccines so first hand knowledge.

It will take me a few years after seeing how people are responding to these vaccines. I am in no hurry to do anything right now.

A few years? I don't think I'm willing to wait that long to start traveling again. Not to sound moribund, but never know ultimately if any of us even has a few years. Who knows what could come along in the meantime. I'm as cautious as anybody with this masking / social distancing, etc. but I prefer not to live a significant portion of what may remain of the rest of my life worrying about getting this virus.

And yet people do things all the time like smoke, not exercise, and eat junk food - all things that are proven to be not conducive to good health. Life is full of so many risks that we have no control over. I'd volunteer for a vaccine trial.

Yes that’s fine. I am living normally no stupid masks no social distances. Still have live music. We have had a total of 56 cases of covid and 0 deaths here. So I will take my chances. But you do what you have to. I am just saying I am not the lab rat.

Sounds like us canadians ( 3 ) are not so trusting of a new vaccine and wont be the first in line to check it out .

I have never gotten a flu shot , so i think i wont be getting this one either .

I can wait this virus out and dont have the need to cruise anytime soon.

I wont be on a cruise ship for years until this thing settles down.

For those that cant wait to cruise i wish you good luck with the vaccine
