Thank you for the Wednesday Daily, Rich.  A special salute to public servants.  I'm not really a fan of pink flamingos but that's a hangup I'll let go.  Love the Wright quote.  New York is a fantastic city.  The meal of the day sounds nice.  My alternative is birthday cake with a gang of waiters around the table singing their song.

Today’s care list:

Welfare of furloughed crews

Garlictown difficutl recovery from arm surgery

Western wildfires

RIP St. Louis Sal’s friend

atexsix back pains

Tana starting to deal with Pulmonary Fibrosis

Celebrations and Shoutouts:

Birthdays for me and Vmax1700

Good morning.  Thanks for the Hump Day Daily Report.

A big salute to everyone who provides public service.  I'll try to "let it go".  Flamingos are interesting birds.

Love the quote from Steven Wright.

Dinner sounds very good, looking forward to seeing the recipe.

Hope the wine and drink of the day are good too.

Stay safe.

Good morning Dailyites and thank you for the daily report Rich.  Public service is so necessary to our daily life, loved the pink flamingos in Bonaire and Curaçao.  I have a couple of things that I need to let go. Not much of a lamb eater so I’ll pass on the meal suggestion. Today’s drink sounds like it could be quite tasty.  Have spent many fun times in NYC with friends.  Prayers for all on our prayer list, cheers to everyone with a celebration today. Happy birthday greetings to our @rafinmd!

Good morning, everyone!

What a difference a day makes!   My doc was right - it was some weird 24 hour bug that I had.   As she and I agreed, weird is what I do best.   Medically, it isn't what you want to do.  You want to be incredibly boring from a medical standpoint.    The sun is out and it looks like it will be a beautiful day.   So, I will try to accomplish what I had planned for yesterday - sealing the front deck and cleaning the back deck.  And washing the car.

A salute to all those who work in public service.  We tend to forget what they do for us.   I will gladly let yesterday go.   Now, the pink flamingo.....  My DBIL was ranting one time about people who put pink flamingos in their yards.   So, for Christmas that year we all bought him pink flamingos.  He even got one that lit up.

Today's meal sounds interesting.  I'd probably skip it because of the bread component.  I'm not a big lamb eater, but if spiced well I like it.

Good morning everyone!  Another nice day in SW Ohio.  Today is attainment day for my DD who shares a birthday with @Sharon in AZtomorrow.  She is going out to lunch and to the casino with a group of lady friends.  Maybe she will hit the jackpot!  DH and I will do our laundry here to keep us in clean clothes during the upcoming soccer tournament, run to the market and maybe have lunch out today.  DSIL works from home (IT specialist), and DGS is only seen at mealtimes.  LOL!

Cheers to the United Nations Public Servants, I'm sure I have something I could let go - I usually do.  As for Pink Flamingos, our neighborhood has cocktail parties now and again that are announced by a pink flamingo on the front lawn.  Anyone in the neighborhood that wants to come is invited and be sure to bring something to drink, hors d'oeuvres are the job of the hostess.

Happy birthday to @rafinmdand @VMax1700!  Hope you both have a wonderful day!

Love the quote, I'll pass on the lamb, and want to join Roy at the table with the singing waiters and the birthday cake.

I saw New York at the end of a 2015 Caribbean Princess TA, and in the middle of a 2018 Rotterdam Canada/New England/Atlantic coast cruise.  That day I took a tour of the city so will check for photos later.

@dfish I'm so glad you are feeling well again.  Are you sure you want to seal a deck, clean another deck and wash the car all on the same day?  One of those would be enough for me!  Props to you!!

@St. Louis Salmy condolences on the loss of your acquaintance with ALS.  Very sad.

Thank you for another great Daily, Rich! Today is a great day for public service, actually everyday is a great one for public service!

I love real flamingos, which are actually more coral than pink.

Thank you for keeping our lists, Roy! Morning Dailyite family! Glad you are feeling better, Debbie! Fun quote. Pass on the meal. Looking forward to Summer’s drink recipe. Love NYC. Not sure where my pics are. Another gloomy start to the day. I do love how fresh everything feels in the morning after a storm. But it does not take long for the humidity to creep up.

A catch up morning for me, then a late morning Zumba class. The weather will determine how I spend the rest of my day.

Prayers for all who need our support. Cheers to the Birthday Boys and everyone else who is celebrating! Stay well everyone!

*************

Chateau Ste Michelle Riesling - Washington - White

This off-dry Riesling is so reasonably priced I am adding it to my list. The 2019 vintage has the best rating of the released vintages, and with a low price of $7.97 it might be a good one to try.

Winemaker Notes

Chateau Ste. Michelle Columbia Valley Riesling is a blend of Riesling from throughout Washington's Columbia Valley. The wine offers crisp apple aromas and flavors with subtle mineral notes. This is Chateau Ste. Michelle's "everyday Riesling" that is a pleasure to drink and easy to match with a variety of foods.
WE91 Wine Enthusiast: The aromas intoxicate, with notes of white peach, lime, jasmine and flower. Off-dry leaning sweeter stone fruit and Nestea Lemon Iced Tea flavors follow, with a strong sense of acidity threading through it. The balance and intensity are exquisite. It’s everything one could want from this variety. Best Buy

Thank you for the daily and care reports.

Happy birthday to everyone whose birthday it is today.

We went back to Harrogate today and just had lunch.

Pauline went to the shops first.

We sailed from New York in January 2011 on RCG Liberty of the seas to the Caribbean and back.

We had a few days pre and post cruise in New York and visited Ground Zero.

Hope everyone has a nice day.

Graham.

Good morning to all. Happy Birthday  @rafinmd and @VMax1700!

A huge cheer for public servants everywhere  and I am neutral on flamingos. As I get older,I am much more able to let things go which is a good  thing. I will  pass on the recipe but would love to sing Happy  Birthday  to Roy in the MDR.

I have some recent photos  from our foray into  the City with DS and family.

Happy Wednesday.  Quick post for the drink of the day.  Will be back later to read and comment.

Pisco sour:

Preparation: Vigorously shake and strain contents in a cocktail shaker with ice cubes, then pour into glass and garnish with bitters.

Although I have no ships to post today from our location on Virginia's Eastern Shore, yesterday we made the best of a rainy day by shopping the local stores. I was surprised to find not one, but 8 Holland America T shirts at a charity thrift store. Our B&B was using a HAL tile for a leveler for the room fridge. Guess a loyal Mariner is never far from his love of Blue Hulled Beauties!

Happy Birthday Roy! We will be in Chincoteague today for your birthday, not far from your home???

I'm sure I'm not the only one who wants to be part of that gang - singing today for you and @VMax1700 -  and for all the other Dailyites on their special day. Wouldn't it be something special if we could all be together on a BHB and sing a collective "Happy Birthday" to all????

Thanks for the Daily, Rich and our Hump Day smile 🙂

A very happy birthday to @rafinmd & @VMax1700  Hoping you both have the best one ever!!!

Great collection of days.  Public service is so appreciated and pink flamingos are so beautiful (the real ones, not the plastic ones 😉 )

LOL on the Wright quote. No lamb in the fridge so I guess we’ll have to save today’s meal suggestion for another time.  I would love to be in Chile to enjoy a good pisco sour 😉

I have been watching the new  & old clematis and vines I put in for the pergola as I was afraid the staining would damage them.  So far, it looks promising.  Meanwhile my old clematis showed promising blooms last week.

a couple of days later:

And here it is yesterday - pictures really don’t do it justice.  It’s so tall and brilliant you can see it from the street even though it’s in the back yard.

If the new ones turn out anything like this one, I would be a very happy camper.  Sadly the pergola isn’t as good a spot, I don’t think.

Happy to say we are both much improved today.  My arm is not nearly as sore from the “jab”.  A couple of days of soreness is a small price to pay for protection 😉

Prayers for everyone on the Care list & for those that need them and 🥂 to those on the Celebratory / Shout Out list.

Have a great Wednesday, everyone.

Stay safe & don’t forget your 😷
