lovescats5 Posted January 1, 2022 #3 Share Posted January 1, 2022 We had an A1 booked on Allure out of Galveston. When Covid hit and the dock in Galveston would not be built in time we lifted to Symphony to an A1. RCCI kept the charge the same which was about half the cost of what an A1 on Symphony was going for. We will be on that cruise in March. Can't wait to see Symphony and all she has to offer.

erinsmom03 Posted January 1, 2022 #7 Share Posted January 1, 2022 We are booked for a 4 night out of Galveston, Western Caribbean, on March 31. I booked two of us in a balcony room for $659, including gratuity.
Natitude61 Posted January 1, 2022 #8 Share Posted January 1, 2022 Got a great deal on a grand suite on Allure…a little less thank $2k pp for a 7 nighter. After we booked, Allure went into dry dock, which is when the “secret” public balconies on upper decks of the aft became suites. When first released, these Aquasuites were classified as GS. Called and got our cabin reassigned — got deck 11 Aquasuite for less than $2k. That balcony (and room!) were to die for!
Bfsroyal Posted January 1, 2022 #9 Share Posted January 1, 2022 So for the 7 day cruise at Christmas on Explorer we paid £209pp for a Junior suite. We did an £85pp Royal Up bid for a Grand Suite and managed to nab it! We were then refunded £60pp due to missed ports. So £234pp ($316)!
Rare binro01 Posted January 1, 2022 #10 Share Posted January 1, 2022 (edited) I have an ocean view balcony on the Allure OTS for a 6 night out of Ft Lauderdale that I paid 1165.00 for but it also came with 245 OBC (100 from Royal, 100 from myVEGAS rewards, and 45 from my TA) I then combined some Black Friday sales for my the UDP, soda x2 and one VOOM surf and stream package. Rare Ozark_Kid Posted January 1, 2022 #13 Share Posted January 1, 2022 I thought our October Symphony booking was special because it actually sailed! I don’t remember the actual cost for the OVB but the original price was good, we ended up with $1,100 OBC do to price drops and then royaled up to a GS which the OBC covered. We cashed out over $900 of the OBC in the casino.

adidas5676 Posted January 1, 2022 Author #16 Share Posted January 1, 2022 As for me, I had snagged an Ocean View Panoramic Suite on Mariner during a Free Kids promo for $2600 for 5 people (husband, myself and 3 kids) on a 4 night cruise for Feb 2021...sadly cruising was shut down so we didn't get to take advantage of that deal.☹️
firefly333 Posted January 1, 2022 #17 Share Posted January 1, 2022 First wow sale 2021 had solo rates with no supplement and some obc. 3 of my upcoming I price matched with obc. The other I couldnt find the category but already had a great deal. Aft balcony corner. Anything close to $100 a day solo is great to me. Hoping for more solo rates. I lost some deals due to cancellations I hated to give up.

molly361 Posted January 1, 2022 #19 Share Posted January 1, 2022 Then there was Christmas week 2014 balcony cabin for 2 for around $800 on the Freedom. Then the gave us I think $400 or $500 OBC for delayed port stops or something like that. Do I have those numbers right @Ourusualbeach? He was the deal finder on that one

shutterbug63 Posted January 1, 2022 #21 Share Posted January 1, 2022 Best I ever got was $250 each for a balcony room on 5-day Eastern Caribbean on Liberty right before Christmas 2013.
deliver42 Posted January 1, 2022 #22 Share Posted January 1, 2022 Unfortunately, I don't remember the year, but Royal had a BOGO that for 2 weeks in May was a real sale. No jacking up the price. I paid for myself, and my wife was free. After the 2 weeks, someone got smart and changed the pricing, so it was just juggling numbers as they usually do.
emeraldcity Posted January 1, 2022 #23 Share Posted January 1, 2022 Balcony originally booked for Allure 2020 Fall TA ...L&S to Odyssey 2021 Fall TA ... L&S to 2022 Fall Arctic Crossing ... Paid about $2200 for a cabin that continues to be priced between $10,000 and $11,200+. That beats my old bargain ... a three-day repo from Colon Panama to Miami for $94/pp in a JS.
Jingerwoppy Posted January 1, 2022 #24 Share Posted January 1, 2022 It was several years ago but we booked (onboard) a 7 day cruise out of Galveston in a junior suite for $1350 (total) for 2. I still don't know how we did it. When we first boarded we went to the library and looked for a cruise we could take with a junior suite price we could afford. We found one for about $1k a piece. However, when we went to the Next Cruise office, she got it down to that price. Not sure how she did it but we didn't ask any questions.
