Reflection Changes/Upgrades

After googling, this is what I found for the Reflection refurbishment; may not be current information but can't find anything on X website for a refurbishment date.   From the site:  7 day cruise booked for 2/5/23 then I don't see any cruises for  weeks of 2/12 to 2/19/23.  Next cruises 2/19 and 2/26/23.

"Celebrity Cruises Reflection ship is currently scheduled for "Celebrity Revolution" drydock refurbishment on February 2, 2023."

We got off on the 25th and from what we saw nothings been done anytime lately…

The ship is certainly showing it’s age but luckily its due a dry dock in the next few weeks I believe where I’m sure the issues will be addressed 🤞🏻

Got an unexpected free cruise on Reflection thru blue chip club so am trying to read as much as possible about the ship to enhance the experience. Have been on Equinox 4 times and Solstice once and loved both ships. Would expect Reflection to be just as great.

Currently sat at the Mast Bar on Reflection, it's early morning and there's a crew of 6 or 7 maintenance guys sanding down and painting. Yesterday evening part of the front of deck 15 was roped off for a few hours for painting. They're keeping the ship in good condition, it's already better than I expected it to be. If you look very hard you can find a few areas of wear and tear but nothing that detracts from a wonderful ship and cruise experience. I'm sure after 2 weeks in dry dock later this month it'll be almost new again. 20221002_083208.thumb.jpg.bbc181d03e9b838328ae96fc33847c59.jpg

I've not yet been on Reflection, some say the extra cabins create some crowding in public spaces, especially Luminae given many of the additional cabins are suites. But I did absolutely love The Porch and Lawn Club Grille on Silhouette, so for that reason have been keeping an eye out for Silhouette and Reflection itineraries. I think the additional specialty options make a big difference.

we love that the Mast bar area is much larger. We like to eat outside. Will have never sailed in a suite so can't comment on those areas. I have never noticed any difference in crowds in public areas between ships

Have been on all 3 multiple times and Reflection is very similar to Equinox and Solstice, sure you will love her too!

Why, of course, because I'm considering booking the sailing immediately before that.

No ships will be revolutionized anytime soon. Reflection will undergo routine dry dock maintenance this month for 2 weeks before the TA. Nothing will be done in Feb. I’m pretty sure there is a charter the week of 2/12. We sail in March and I was looking at menus and noticed the charter.

A complete revolution takes at least a month

Maybe not, but they could probably change the Solstice Deck into a Retreat Sun Deck and Michael’s Club into a Retreat Lounge in two weeks.  Sounds like Tom-n-Cheryl heard something along those lines.

Purplsmurf-You are correct. We were originally booked on the 2/12 sailing but got bumped because they chartered the ship for a Vacaya Cruise. We are now booked on the 2/5 cruise. No downtime scheduled for Reflection in February.

Luminae certainly seemed busier on Reflection than it has on Equinox, but I couldn't say that it was crowded. I can't recall seeing all tables filled, and I don't recall anyone waiting for a table or speaking about that happening. In both cases, suites were virtually filled. There was a signature suite empty on the Reflection sailing, but they filled it about halfway through via some event in the casino.

We were on the Reflection from Rome in August. Information I received from talking with a couple of Officers; the dry dock this month will be for the mandatory 5 year inspections and maintenance. The hull will be scrapped for barnacles and will be painted blue. Some carpeting and soft goods will be replaced. However, there are no plans to Revolutionize any of the Retreat venues and Celebrity has not made any decisions on continuing the Revolutionizing of the remaining non-revolutionized fleet. We were in a Sky Suite, and I thought the Reflection was in great condition compared to our cruise on the HAL Oosterdam after our Reflection cruise. The Oosterdam was refurbished in 2019 but she is in real sad shape and desperate need of a complete overhaul of all cabins and common areas.

Been on her twice since the restart and found her to be in great shape.  Not revolutionized, which is a GOOD thing imho.

Given the continual painting and maintenance, I would expect drydock to address mechanical things that are transparent to guests that are unable to be done while afloat.

Expecting a bit more than that given the 2 week length of the drydock. Reflection is due for its 5 year 'refresh'.

Will let everyone know when we board in 3-1/2 weeks.  Reflection starts its last pre-drydock cruise, a 10 nt, tomorrow.
