Good cloudy and humid morning.
It’s good to hear from our Florida family that all are safe so far. @Cruzin Terri, please don’t take any chances with this storm, we need you here.❤️

Watching the weather channel, the storm surge is destroying so much In it’s path.

Blessings and prayers to all on our lists.

Stay safe.

Good morning from a pleasant central Texas.  It is now 72F and feels like 72F but unfortunately with 73% humidity and a dew point of 63F.  Our predicted high is 97F, but the good news is our triple digit highs will not return now until Saturday.  Our lows will stay in the low 70s the remainder of the the week.  There's not much on the agenda today after two busy days.

It was good to hear from @summer slope Dixie and @cat shepard Ann that they are safe from Idalia.  Sending positive thoughts that the Dailyites @RedneckBob, @cunnorl Charlene, @aliaschief Bruce, @seagarsmoker J Brown, @Cruzin Terri Terri, and any others I missed stay safe from this storm.  Bruce, I included you even though you are west of the storm's path because with hurricanes, you never really know what they will do.

Grief awareness is important especially since many do not know how to help those who are grieving.  We'll not be going to a beach today even though there is one in the Corps of Engineers park just down the road.  I hope we can all touch a heart everyday.

I like the quote.  The eyes can tell you a lot about a person, and our youngest DD knew early on how to use her eyes to get what she wanted.

I like tacos and some fish, but not together.  We'll pass on the drink, but the wine might be worth a try if it was available.

We spent a day in Haifa and two days in Ashdod in 2017 on Prinsendam.  When our visit to Egypt was cancelled we got the extra day in Ashdod.

William Penn founded a wonderful colony when in landed in the new world.

@StLouisCruisers  Sandi, I'm  glad your DGD is safe and staying at the aquarium.

@ottahand7  Nancy, I'm glad your sister arrived safely yesterday.

@Cruzin Terri  Terri, I hope the storm surge does not reach your house.

We were in Haifa on 10/22/17 on the Prinsendam.  On the recommendation of a fellow CC member, we hired a taxi for a tour and saw a lot of northern Israel.  Because there are quite a few pictures, I'll post the ones of Haifa first, then post some from our day outside the city.

On our return to town, we stopped at the overlook at the top of the Baha'i Gardens, then drove past the entrance at the bottom of the hill.  There was a conference being held that day, so the gardens were closed to visitors.

Good morning, everyone and welcome to Wednesday. Thanks for the Daily and Fleet reports.

It is rainy here but expected to clear up. Thinking of all in the path of Idalia. Stay safe.

Working from home today, grading papers and seeking clients virtually. Fancy loves it when I work from home. I would try the meal and drink of the day.

Thinking of all on the care list.

Celebrating with all who are celebrating.

Have a safe and healthy day.

We did not go to Tel Aviv the day we were in Haifa.  Due to the cancellation of the port in Egypt, we spent two days in Ashdod.  The second day, we went to Tel Aviv, and this is what I posted on April 29, 2021.

The second day we were docked in Ashdod, we talked about finding a taxi to take us to Bethlehem, but after two long days spent in a taxi, we decided against going there.  Along with another couple, we found a taxi in the port to take us to Jaffa and Tel Aviv.

If we're lucky enough to return to Ashdod, I want to find someone to take us to Bethlehem and Jerusalem for a slower walk in the Old City.

Jaffa is the ancient port for Jerusalem.  It is a town we really enjoyed.

Our driver dropped us off at seaside promenade in Tel Aviv.

After a short time along the sea, our next stop was a mall in downtown Tel Aviv, and we had an hour or so to wander around.  I'll confess we spent most of our time in the mall where we shared a pizza.

@Cruzin Terri please stay safe.

Looks like I erred.  Franklin is arriving earlier and has collided with the storm that was already coming.  Sorry @HAL4NOW I think the rain is going to continue through tomorrow for a portion of the Maritimes.  Flood & ocean surge warnings.  Sorry.

Good Morning from a very cloudy and windy day at the beach

Thanks to all that are checking on us.   We are all well. We are well east of the storm but expected to receive the outer bands.  The ocean is really churning and not going to be a very nice day. Very concerned for those in the path of the storm. It looks very dangerous.

Grief has many faces and there is no right or wrong way to react. After working in the ER for 25 years, I have seen every reaction from total hysteria to uncontrolled laughing. It is very individual. Just support the best you can and dont judge.

Beaches are to be treasured and protected. I walk the beach almost every day. It is very relaxing and calming.

Thanks for the port pictures. Would like to go there someday....

Stay safe and enjoy today

Good morning, everyone!

It is a beautiful morning in mid-Michigan.  We will have moderate temperatures today and tomorrow, but the weekend is heating up with 90+ temps.  I guess we'll be turning on the AC.

Nothing planned but the Farmer's Market this morning.  It is almost as good as a candy store.

Today's meal is a good one.  I didn't think I would like fish tacos until I tried one.  I am a total convert!  There is a restaurant in town that has great fish tacos.  They are an appetizer, but it is big enough to be a meal.  I get them and an order of brussels sprouts and I am a happy camper.  I really like this first recipe because according to the picture, I don't have to attempt to keep the piece of fish whole.  I can crumble it to my heart's content.  Lime crema is great on fish even without the taco part.   https://www.aheadofthyme.com/2016/08/easy-fish-tacos-lime-crema/

fishtacos1.jpg.4c3c35e6de1d6b965773e17f12487759.jpg

This one has different seasoning, but that's ok!   It is worth a try.  https://natashaskitchen.com/fish-tacos-recipe/

fishtacos2.thumb.jpg.a0a4a494a1501387adb5b6da76b89409.jpg

This last one sounds delicious with blackened salmon and jalapeño lime crema.  I think that is a winning flavor combination.   https://littlespicejar.com/blackened-salmon-tacos-jalapeno-lime-crema/

Wishing you all a wonderful day.  Stay safe Florida Dailyites and Terri.

Good morning .It just rained here for about ten minutes and promises to be a warm and humid day.

Fish tacos sound like a great idea for  tonight and I have all the ingredients  for the second recipe. Thanks to Debbie  @dfish.

We are watching coverage of the hurricane and hope all of our Daily friends remain safe. I like all of the days today as we can relate to all of them.

Thanks to Sandi @StLouisCruisers and Lenda @Quartzsite Cruiser for the port pictures .It is an area of the world I would love to see.

Take care today everyone

Good morning Dailyites.

A beautiful morning of 76 warming to 99 today. 100 to 101 fir the next 10 days, not a drop of rain predicted.

Thank you to all contributors and special thanks for the pictures this morning.

Supposedly at 6:15 this morning an Amazon package was hand delivered to me. I was in bed reading at 6:15. Hoping a good neighbor got it and will deliver it to me. I checked the 4 closest houses and no package on any porches.

I have been grief stricken several times in my life. I pray for those going through grief today. Prayers for those who are ill, have fallen, for Baby Murphy, Sharon's aunt nearing the heavenly gates. Prayers for all in the path of the storms. Please be safe!

Little pup Shelby went home with her parents last night. Oliver misses her I think.

Looking at having 4 little dogs for 2 days starting on Friday. I must be nut-up but that's what good friends do. @dfish Debbie my new business will be called Nanny Joy's Doggie Daycare. Lol. Not!!

Wishing you a peaceful, healthy, blessed day!

Yes, eyes tell you alot about a person.

Good morning.

Thank you to Rich, Vanessa, Dixie, Ann and Debbie for keeping this thread alive.

Interesting days.  Don’t think I will be near a beach today, Touch a Heart Tuesday (except it’s Wednesday) no matter, I will try to touch someone’s heart.  We all have grief that we deal with.

I have not been to the destination and welcome the photos.

I will skip the meal and beverages and hope that by dinner time we still have power.

At 4:15am the alarm on my phone went off announcing that we are under a hurricane warning.  A minute later it sounded again to announce a storm surge warning.  Both give me pause.

The last thing I want is water in our house.  It was one year ago this coming weekend that all our troubles started with a flood.  I really pray that the storm surge stays away from us.

We expect to get the brunt of the hurricane at high tide and full moon so the storm surge will be particularly dangerous.  Ugh!

I am supposed to have an Eye Doctor Appointment today.  Yesterday I got an automated reminder for it, but it was too late to call the office.  I need to call today to find out if they are really open.  I am not really happy about going out today.

Prayers for everyone, especially for all in the path of the storm.

Stay safe.

God Bless,

Terri

Take care and stay safe Terri 🙏.

Good Wednesday Morning to All!  Thanks for the daily and fleet reports (from yesterday also).  I love the beach and may go this weekend and the other days are important.  I love "smizing" with your eyes.  Not a fan of fish tacos but that martini!  Oh how my mouth watered reading the ingredients.  Cabernet Sauvignon is sometimes way too "heavy" for me, and never been to Israel.

I have to laugh as I was subbing in a self-contained 8th grade class yesterday (I did NOT know I would have them all day long!!!!!) and one of the exercises was reading about William Penn.  How apropos!

Been watching the impact of Idalia on FL.  Stay safe everyone.  They say it is moving into GA and it is still a Cat 2.

Cheers to all celebrating!  Stay safe and thoughts to those on the care list.

Have a good and safe day everyone!

Thanks Graham @grapau27 for your support and nice comments.

Terri @Cruzin Terri I think that was wise.  Now you don't have that worry along with everything else.

The outer bands of rain are nearly here at my house.  Then we expect lots of rain the rest of the afternoon.  Thankfully we don't have to go out today, and my regularly scheduled hair appointment is tomorrow when it should be sunny again.
