I hope so, but no word and it doesn’t show up on the app. Haven’t seen tomorrow’s compass yet.

Hopefully you get to see it. We actually have not and we have been on her 5 or 6 times.

I think I'll just continue

GS review, more MDR, more WJ, more shows

less CATS

Room Service 😁

JR breakfast

Water slides

Suite sundeck

solarium

Coco Cay😉

Continuing would be great.

I’m trying to stretch your opus till my Harmony cruise March 29.

If needs be, I ‘ll  just start at the top again.

March 😱

We will be on Allure in an A1 for the TA by then

And Symphony for B2B on 50th birthday cruise starts in October.

Plus I sail Mariner for the first time since the Global Odyssey cruise in 2018 in early September

I hope I'm done before all that

Day 5 - St Maarten

As I mentioned earlier we were planning on going to Holland House on Great Bay Beach.

But the weather did not cooperate. Very gloomy with afternoon showers. so I went for a 1pm massage with Wanpen.

It was very good. I used the $50 certificate, but gave back most of the savings with a fat tip.

I need to remember to ask Julia if the staff have to absorb some of these spa discounts.

I do know that the auto grat goes down with the 20% Pinnacle discount, but it does not go down with the $50 off coupon.

Bottom line was she did a fabulous job, and I'll be seeing her again next week.

Tonight is lamb night in the MDR 😁

Early in the morning we saw our favorite catmaran, Golden Eagle, headed out. She used to go to Orient beach side, but she was headed over towards the airport now.

MTD works very nice for Suites and Pins. You don't need reservations, just head to the rear podium on the port side. They aren't as clueless as the Aqua theater staff. 😉

Since this is the side that needs reservations, I'm guessing they have the large groups bypass the first podium.  I'll verify that next week

Tonight's menu, one of our absolute favorites

20190809_090215.thumb.jpg.654c784c6eab38dcb4eda84fc5965db6.jpg

Asian style pork tacos are to die for. the shell is unique.  I like to eat the meat first and then pick at the shell.

there was a little to much sauce on them tonight.

I got the lamb with a side of Tiger shrimp. Laura just got the shrimps

Lamb was perfectly butchered, well seasoned, and the correct temp

I pushed the veg to my bread plate. Tonight is all about meat

My shrimp came a dbl portion with no sides. Perfect.  The head waiter even came by and took them out of the shell for us. Just like the old days.

We got table 353 with Kevin and Parvesh. they were perfect, we'll try and get them again next week

Our Head Waiter was Amit. We just had him on Adventure this past January. he was also very good, we'll have to make sure we ask for his section as well.  Hopefully the team stays together.  Amit invited us to lunch the next day, we declined due to a conflict with the Pinnacle lunch, but told him we would find him on Saturday.  He would make us stir fry. 🤣

And finally I need to mention Chacko.  He was the CK manager during the presidents cruise.

Laura asked one of the waiters on day 1 where he was, and she told us he had been promoted to MDR Maitre' D

so, when we checked in that night we asked if he could stop by our table. He seemed genuinely happy to see us.

Personally I believe they are surprised to see Pins down there, and treat us very well.  this is just my opinion.

Hopefully, we'll see him again next week as well.  I think we'll go there a little more than just once.  all of our food was great.

Chacko and Laura last year. He now has 2.5 stripes. That means he is treated very similar to a passenger. Solo cabin, room steward, etc..He likes that.

Here is my summary of Harmony form the week before President's cruise.

We were on a Western route. Apparently I did not care for Fine Line then either.

Here are some highlights of week 1.

Suite Lounge bar before lunch

Ultimate Abyss

Sorrento's Pizza

Columbus

Cabin layout

Trivia

Massage with Bethanie

Pinnacle lunch with Julia (Revenue Manager)

Venturing off the reservation in Falmouth. Thanks Tony and Dot

Meat pies

Holiday Parade

Far end of the WindJammer

Boat ride to Columbus Cove

Disappointments

Having to drive to Ft Lauderdale.

Fine Line (other than spinning man, that was fascinating)

1887

Jaimie's (to salty)

Wonderland, I blame the waiter and myself for not telling him no.

The fact that we missed iSkate and Heideway Heist

Comedians ( I did like the Attic, though)

Suite and Pinnacle seats in the Royal Theater

Leaky ice bags for Laura's White Zin

Overall a well run ship, and will have to sail her some next year if I can find decent prices. I understand she will only be here temporarily.

I just started reading your review and have a quick question.

You say the "pink" luggage piece was a carry on. What size is it? We have similar

luggage and prefer to carry on rather than check them and don't know the size limitations.

We sail in 14 days . Thanks in advance.

Pink is 24", the blue one is 27"

The blue one has gone through the scanner in the past

Definitely on the slots

Swapping sides and sauce on the side is not a problem

IMHO ....Definitely sans sauce on both the steak and especially 🤢 the lobster.   I prefer the blue cheese dressing on the wedge salad...not a fan of the tomato sauce.

John, where were you getting meat pies? Are you talking about a 4" Jamaican meat pie or empanada?

MMM.mmmm...yummy!  There is a great local's favorite bakery in Falmouth that does fantastic meat pies outside the gates (near the old fountain in town).

Thank you John for confirming the MTD time. We will go to the dining room when we get on the ship and ask about our 6:00p.m. MTD reservations. I also noticed as you pointed out that the first seating started at 5:00...and I thought 6:00 was early....

It sounds like you are having a great cruise! The last time we were on Harmony was 2 years ago when they were filming "Like Father," the Netflix movie with Kelsey Grammar and Kristen Bell. It will be nice to have access to all the venues again:)

We were on that sailing too!  We were with a group, and a bunch of us made it into the movie.

I had one inside Falmouth compound, but there were several places outside the gates.
