Harmony Aug 4, 2019 - We're not on Empress anymore.

Day 6 - Pinnacle Lunch and Lobster night.

Totally lazy Friday. We have to be at Dazzles at noon to gather for our meal with an officer.

They take a group photo and serve some fine sparkling wine. 🍾🥂

We then head to CP150 for lunch.

I forgot to take pics of my Surf & Turf, but here is the plank and the tower

Oh, and they did serve Belle Glos 🍷 Lots of it. 😁

Our officer was the Inventory Manager. Lincoln from Jamaica. Funny guy, we even share the same birthday, except I'm 10 years older.

I think I covered the rest of the day earlier. It may have been the day I went in search of the ocean views.

Dinner was Formal night in CK. Lamb, Scallops, and Lobster.

I also tied my first bow tie. Pretty good job, learned it on YouTube

Laura's lamb was a little on the rare side. They made her another one

I had the scallops with a side of lobster. Yes they are tiny warm water lobsters.  They still taste good.

And I ate another flower, that makes three for the week.  I think this is the salmon sashimi

Not much else to add. I think I covered everything. We had stirfry in the MDR, it was awesome.

Lou won Best of the Best, his wife Cindy sent me this picture. I'm not sure where he signed it.

And here is our pic on Coco Cay when we were trying to outrun the down pour.

FWIW, Harmony is all digital screens for the pictures. No more hours spent trying to find your photos. Oasis was using a system where all your photos are in binders placed in giant revolving racks, but this is better.  Other ships are headed in this direction. Downside is you have to order your prints and it gets busy on the last day.

See you all tomorrow

I think this would be in part because HOTS needs to hit up the dry dock for her 5 year...

Correct, but I heard she wasn't coming back after that. I believe Freedom did her earlier drydocks over here

Cruise Day - Part 2 (the return)

Beautiful morning on the Space Coast, but I'm sure the afternoon showers will return.😉

Looks like I'll miss another rocket launch this week. We missed two the week before.

ULA (Boeing) is sending up a new GPS satellite for the Air Force on Aug 22 around 9am.

Can anyone of us imagine life without GPS.

Anyway, please buckle up, return your seats to their upright positions, and make sure your trays are locked, it's going to be a bumpy ride.

As mentioned earlier, this week we are on a rather non typical Western route. No Labadee or Falmouth.

Coxen Hole is Roatan, Honduras

Here is our itinerary

We scored a sweet deal on a GS, $2600 for the two of us, not including tips. That's practically inside pricing in the summer.

Kudos to CC member @molly361 (Ellen) for finding it and notifying my new awesome TA, who held it for us.

I'd also like to add that he sent me a Bon Voyage email with a $175 price reduction on our January Oasis trip.

Do I use that savings for a massage or the meet and greet with the CATS cast. 🤔

Here is our lovely accommodations for the week.

Harmony GS is different form the Oasis and Allure with the TV wall separating the sofa from the bed.

Some love it, some think it makes the room choppy. I think I like it. Time will tell.

Unfortunately, our $uite is on the dreaded Deck 7.  I'm hoping I don't get stuck on the wrong side of the aft elevators.

We had the same deck last year, and I was successful for two weeks.

428474828_HarmnyGS7254.jpg.5830313d49ddee45f49294dc3445f813.jpg

For those unfamiliar with deck 7 on an Oasis ship, you can't cross from port to starboard because of the over sized BW sign on Deck 6. The red lines above indicate where the walkway stops. Easiest solution is to walk up or down, cross to the side you want and return to deck 7. Some folks walk all the way forward, cross over and then walk back. 😱 Rookie mistake.

And of course Coco Cay. 🤣

Someone has to pay for that expensive upgrade (west AND east itineraries 🙄).  The 1200.00 cabanas are not getting it done by themselves.  Double visits are filling the bill for all those extra fees they charge.  😉

I've lost track (I'm easily confused and unfortunately can't follow in real time).  You both did a Harmony Eastern, then Laura did a 4 day Majesty, and now you're both doing a Harmony Western.  Is that correct?  We're on the same western itinerary (Symphony) in November and am interested in what you do at Roatan.  Whatever it is, Bon Voyage.

Just got off this morning 😢

Had luggage tag #32, which had a listed departure time of 8:50. Number was called at 7:59. Got all 8 people off, 9 bags, stroller, pack&play mattress, sent 4 off to get a rental car while we loaded the youngsters and bags and stuff in the van parked at the terminal.

Quick ride down the Beachline, first load of laundry in by 9:14. Not John's commute, but not bad!!!

The kids are already counting down the 364 days until we get back on Harmony in Star Class in the 4 bedroom Villa Suite. The wife and I have a few before then, but that’s the big family cruise.

Have fun John,
