Captain Leo just announced they are finalizing the medicine / supply load and will be heaving anchor to head to San Diego soon. 🤩

Starting to feel like hostages that got released.  Love the Latin American people, HATE the governments and corruption they seem to tolerate.

You likely won't be negatively affected by the California closure.  Grocery, gas, medical, and other essentials are still open.  All nonessential movement has been banned/shut down.  But here's hoping that your return home via San Diego is not considered non-essential.

With California now announcing a stay at home order, prepare for a possible change to San Diego as your destination.

Please- there is no reason to worry the poor folks on the Eclipse with such speculation.

Agree.   I wish the passengers/crew onboard Eclipse a safe and enjoyable sail to San Diego.  Use the 10 days at sea to relax as much as possible to relieve the stresses of the unknowns you have experienced in the last few days and those to come as you return home.

Captain Leo announced this morning we will be making a very brief non docking stop somewhere in Equidor in a few  days.  Sounds like Chile couldn't come up with all the meds.

Side note, had a dolphin escort for a bit this morning.  Pod of probably 30+.  Good omen.

Exactly.

Beachin2, which side of the ship were the dolphins on?  We missed them.

As much as I am happy to continue my planned trip to San Diego - albeit - without any port stops - I am anxious to get back on US soil.

Glad we are underway but NOT going to be reassured until the fat lady sings.

My friends and family have so many stressful things going on in their lives right now - I want to be there to help.

We went on a 4 day RC cruise in early March and even then I couldn't wait to get home. Something about being in our "safe" place, even if it isn't as safe as it usually is.  Hope you get here soon!

It is so cool, we sailed on the Radiance down the coast a few years ago and every day in that Southern Part of the Ocean our escorts were amazing!! Hope you get to see some whale activity as well!!

Keep an eye out for green turtles, as well. We saw a few from the balcony of the Eclipse on our San Antonio to San Diego cruise last March/April. Other cruisers and the naturalist saw rays.

When I saw green turtles on the north shore of Oahu in October, I threw all logic aside and deluded myself that they were the same ones. 😉
