Good morning it's a bright and sunny morning around here but only 4.c with

a bit of frost on the grass. I see it's Pete's birthday today which is a good thing

as the more you have the longer you live. Happy Birthday Pete !

Catching up on the news this week I don't think I would be happy getting in a car

with celebrities as they don't seem very safe behind the wheel do they ?

Tiger Woods ,give him a club and a ball ,he's good but driving a car ,oh dear !

not the first time he's crashed a car either.

I see they are going to go ahead this summer with a few pop festivals in the UK.

I wonder who the headline acts will be ?  I know a few posters on here would love

it to be Bruce Springsteen again . He can belt out that good old song ..........

🎵Wreck On The Highway 🎵 which was also the case when the police got

to him with his car . I think he also got a little ban due to his alcohol levels .

Never mind he could rewrite one of his songs while his car is off the road .

🎶SORN IN THE USA ! 🎶  As I said earlier Celebs and cars don't mix very well .

A few more weeks and it may be safe to visit the DIY  shops again .I used to

love having a wander around our shop . Last time I was there the police were

escorting a woman away for shop lifting . I know she was a shoplifter  because

she had a ladder in her stockings .:classic_unsure::classic_wink:

Whatever you lot get up to today , have a nice day and stay safe .

To save taking up more of the page and assist anybody considering printing this world beating thread, many thanks for all the birthday wishes. It started bright and sunny but is clouding over. Somehow, whilst walking the dog, 65 today bunting appeared on the front door with special balloons inside on the bannister. Weird or what?
Mrs Pete has organised a home made birthday afternoon tea to be shared with our granddaughters on FaceTime. Just need to take their feast and leave it outside their front door.

To make the day even better, my favourite online wine merchant delivered a catalogue with their new release Sauvignon Blanc on introductory offer. It would have been rude to turn down their generosity.

btw kalos, sorry to spoil your joke but I read yesterday that Bruce Springsteen was fined for drinking 2 small shots of tequila but driving under influence charges were dropped, just like they would have been for everybody else🥴.

Thanks again.🙂

Never read that part suppose he can 🎵 Drive All Night 🎵 if he wants to

as 🎵You Never Can Tell 🎵with these rock stars :classic_unsure:

Enjoy your birthday Pete & keep safe

Ah well, last night of being 64. Not sure the Beatles got everything right in their song. Still got some hair (longer than usual), did receive a Valentine and the odd bottle of wine or seven. Not much point renting a cottage on the Isle of Wight regardless of whether it was too dear though.

Happy 65th birthday Pete.

I hope you have a fantastic day.

Graham.

Happy 65th Pete!

I have booked a holiday, the one I had my eye on has gone up £100! But I’ve booked it anyway 😊 An apartment in the Lake District with a balcony .

Also had a walk this morning in the gorgeous sunshine at our riverside country park on the Medway estuary.

The apartment in the Lake District sounds lovely.Nice view of the estuary. The apartment we wanted in Dorset had also gone up by £100 too.I think its supply and demand but also to make up for lost income which I can understand. We booked a week later than originally planned which made it slightly cheaper and its nice to have something to look forward to.
