My granddog who predicted the winner of Survivor watched the entire Rangers game .

At first, I didn't believe your grand dog's Survivor prediction.  Now, your grand dog could be right.  Yam Yam survived several tribal council's and doesn't seem to be a target anymore.  At some point though, he'll be seen as too much of a threat when compared to many others who are still there.

I also have boxes with pictures!  DH and I have been married for 51 years, and have 3 daughters.  I do have albums of when they were little, then life (softball games, basketball games, etc took up so much of our time, that boxes began to appear🤨  When our first grandchild arrived 21 years ago, I was determined to make albums.  Two years after Erin was born, Chris arrived...two years later, Meghan and Ava arrived.  Lets make it two more years, when Jack arrived.  You get the picture😉 Another 2 years, and Ryan was born,  Last but not least, William arrived when Ryan was 2 years old.  Getting back to the baby albums, there are 4 of Erin; 2 of Chris, and 1 for each of our other grandchildren.  I realized I really had to get back to the baby albums, especially since the kids love looking at their own.  Because, of course, I have a box with their pictures, also.  One of these days!  One of these days I'll get back to my watercolor painting, etc.

Congratulations on your retirement in 2 months.  Welcome to the Retirement Club (we're really busy!😉)

We have 70 photo albums from our 56 years of marriage .I also have many pictures of my childhood friends.

Made it to our connecting flight in plenty of time and now this one is delayed. They noticed a few missing, loose bolts on a wing cover so now they are just removing the wing cover entirely and we can go.  That does not sound concerning at all, we don't need that part, we can fly without it....

That's child's play to us Michiganders.

The University of Michigan's football stadium, nicknamed The Big House, has a capacity of 107,601.  On game days, anyone who owns property within a mile or two of the stadium makes money selling parking for $20-$50 per vehicle.

(Congrats to @ValerieJo on your son's graduation from U of M!  I went to nursing school in my 40s, while working full time and also driving my kid to hockey practices and games.... it's SO much harder to do school as an adult!)

My wife went to Nursing school after our children were born .It was her fourth career.

That's okay John. Family Go Boston and RSharpe are doing a live review for your cruise. 😊 There are a lot of live reviews going on this week. Don't worry about it. Pop in when you can! We'd love to hear and see how it is going. 😀

I just found their live.  We are on different ships.  They are on Quantum and we are on Ovation.   I believe the itineraries will be about the same so we don't need to repeat it all especially cruising just a couple days behind.   Thanks for the heads up.

@George C The score of that game was very disheartening, for sure.

It looked like there was beautiful weather and good seats were a plus.

It is still early in the season. Yankees have a number of players on the DL.

Things may be on the upswing when players return.

MJ🙋🏻‍♀️

I am not a Yankee fan but I have Yankees connections .A friend of mine played for the Yankees in the 60’s,Randy Levine ,the Yankees President worked for a law firm that represented the company I worked for .He and I conversed often. One of my son in laws works with a HOF baseball player who played for the Yankees .

This morning I woke up with zero vision in my right eye and a very bad headache.I called my Opthalmologist office and was told that my doctor is not working in the office close to where I live but in an office close to NYC.

Two hours later we arrived at the office.I had several tests and everything was negative.I was referred to a NeuroOpthalmologist but his first appointment is May 15.I am feeling fine now but it was very scary this morning.

I'm sorry to hear your news Lenny.

I hope you don't experience the zero vision again.

Beuk is named after a NY Ranger hockey player. That may be why he liked watching the team play hockey. When he is in my house Wednesday night we will both watch Survivor.

Some food pics.  Not the best angles. We ate at Duke's last night.

After eating the waiter asked if we wanted dessert .  Hula pie I think.  The waiter asked how many and we said 4.  Waiter..... WHAT! He then said, let me bring one out first and then you can order more.  We had a hard time eating 2. Hard to see the size of the from the pics.

Something tells me I’m the only one that doesn’t know this, but is that hay? Why would you put it on nice green grass?

Proud mom today.  My oldest son (43) decided to go back to school and finally finish his degree.  Today he graduates from the University of Michigan. I'm proud of him to go back as an adult as it's not easy to do.  Thanks for letting me brag a bit.

Congrats to you and your son.

I wrote all those details down and will map it out.  We’ll be in Sydney for a week next year and I’d like to find some inexpensive things to do as well as the tours to the Blue Mountains and bridge and opera house.

You’ll love Sydney. I don’t remember what it cost, but the Featherdale Wildlife Park is very interesting. So many animals we haven’t seen before. You can hold a koala if they still do that and you can also get up close to some of the animals and hand feed them. The kangaroos were so cute. We also went to Taronga Zoo which is just across the harbor from Sydney. It has more Australian animals but we didn’t see any we could feed, but I could be wrong. I think there was a petting area for kids where maybe you could feed some, but we didn’t go in there.

Ken, what time are you getting in to Honolulu?  Where are you staying?

Have you taken any flying lessons, OB?  Sounds like you should.  You will probably love it.

Only in Microsoft Flight Simulator. I've never had a crash I couldn't walk away from.😊

Just to add more food porn.  I like this thread just for all the food we see on it.

Beef ribs were on special at a local Meat Market.  I picked up 3 slabs since I had some time on Saturday to do them up.

image.thumb.png.e71ada238658ba2ababdcaa55674847d.png

I cut them in section and cover with 2 different dry rubs (1 Coffee/Cocoa, 1 Buttery/Garlic)

image.thumb.png.fca8ed91a4e71d0178fe56bbc53f55a1.png

Then vacuum sealed for Sous-vide

image.thumb.png.de7cc14e14f82c17405e5652749fd439.png

Then, in the immersion for 8hrs at 57.5°C.

After this they go in the freezer and can be prepared in very little time at a later date.

This is what they look like after the grilling (Pic from a previous cook)
