Royal Caribbean Cruisers -- How Are Things Where You Are? (was "Routine" 😁 day in lockdown... how was yours?)

Recommended Posts

@dani negreanu and @bobmacliberty We haven’t yet dined  at Eden.  Norris’ review convinced me to book it for our Apex cruise in November!!  When it first debuted the Edenists intermingling at dinner was a major turn off….thankfully they’ve been retired.  To be honest, when we first sailed the E Class we were so intrigued by the four MDR concept that we didn’t see a need to do specialty restaurants.

We'd do a Retreat Suite as well.  One of the reasons that we'd pick Edge class.

The Sky suites look very tempting.  It's not clear but appears that the Sky suites themselves are not in the Retreat area, although you get Retreat access.  Is this correct?

Anything that you post, whenever you want to post it, would be greatly appreciated.  I've done a LIVE and it indeed is a lot of work.

I'd love to hear your thoughts also Dani!

This is very, VERY tempting.  Off to do some research...

The Penthouse is out of my price range.  I'm trying to convince myself to pay for an Edge Villa, which seems sorta like a Royal CLS.

ABCs are a great cruise!  I'll need to check that out as well.

I've read that Eden is a must do.  Have you eaten there?

Our sky suite was not up in the retreat, but it was easy to get up there.  We were on Reflection in a celebrity suite.  We both decided that the sky suite was the right size for us.  We used to book grand suites on RC but have begun going with a junior suite.  In fact, I’m sitting in our js on Mariner right now.

We have decided to start a new adventure in our lives.
Let’s just say our new hobby.

It all started in January when we went to the I X Center to do some walking and get our steps in.

That visit a Motor Home/ RV show was the featured event. So we walked and looked.
Walked more and said. “ That’s nice”
Well we got our steps in and left with a two week option to buy a Motor Home at show price.
The next day we made an appointment to proceed with purchase.

Then we got a phone call in April that they cannot fill the order with the one we purchased. It was no longer being made.
But the good news was they would honor the purchase but a 2024 model, for the same price.

Now this model over the 2023 had more options that were standard.
Direct TV, Fire stick. Extra charging stations, to list a few. And many  storage compartments.

We have been purchasing supplies and necessities over the past few months.

So on Saturday July 1, we brought her home.

Today we spent 5 hours cleaning, stocking and organizing.

Turned out it was my brother.  NESN had the camera on them because Bruins had won and it was a whole row of Bruins fans, all my relatives, in the Lightnings rink.  At least I could send them pictures!

We've been fortunate to watch our Ct. grandchildren's events on YouTube.  Lacroix games, HS Graduations, College Graduation, as well as the last Confirmation, which was during Covid.  I've taken pictures of them while watching, and would send the pictures to them by text.  Our oldest granddaughter sent me a text picture taken immediately after her College Graduation, and my daughter was able to print a beautiful 5 x 7 picture from it for my living room wall!

As I said before, you are very observant!

ps.  How's your Mom doing?

We parked at an RV park next to Disneyland about 7 years ago.  Our poor cat was traumatized the first night. The subsequent nights either I or DW would load him up in the truck 5 minutes before they would start and take him for a drive.

So as I was admiring our garden and soon to be new driveway and landscaping I look to my right and a deer was also getting a bird’s eye view.
Better not leave footprints in the concrete when poured.

IF you are inexperienced or unsure about best practices with the operation of various RV components feel free to ask anything.  Chances are I've had to go through it.

Awful. I remember when the kids were young I first learned about the dangers of this type of plastic, usually around 4 cans. Even now I break all four circles before I put it in the rubbish bin

Very very sad to see the poor duck.  I truly hope someone was able to help him.

I, too, always cut up those darn plastic holders.   I do like the new version I saw being used at LBI.

https://www.google.com/search?q=nj+using+new+plastic+holders+for+6+packs&oq=nj+using+new+plastic+holders+for+6+packs&aqs=chrome..69i57j33i160l2.14702j0j7&client=ms-android-boostdish-us-revc&sourceid=chrome-mobile&ie=UTF-8#imgrc=nssqV0503nclnM

Still plastic but much better design that should hopefully prevent things like the ducks Beak from getting stuck.

How in heavens name do you measure for linen on lofted bed. Sleeper couch and table that turns into bed. I have measured but nothing is made to fit them.

Yes, from the man cave. The RV will be housed on the side. Well once the side roof add on.

@reallyitsmemaI am so happy your mom had a great time.  I am sure it made you very happy to see her enjoy herself!

It was great to see her have such a good time!  After the rehearsal dinner, she was sitting at a bar, buying drinks for everyone, she was so funny!  We had driven to the venues instead of using the shuttles that they had rented, so that I could leave early with her, but she didn't want to leave early lol  We brought her home last Sunday, got her settled and she took a 4 hour nap! 😄 It was great for all the grandkids that don't live near her to see her and all my siblings made sure to see her this week before they left town.  Great memories and pictures for all.
