Royal Caribbean Cruisers -- How Are Things Where You Are? (was "Routine" 😁 day in lockdown... how was yours?)

I used to sell that Beer when I worked for the wine/beer and liquor distributor. 😉   Bucky hates Corona...calls it "Mexican monkey piss".  LOL...(eeek...flames are coming at me for that one..need fireproof suit!)  😜

He loves Sol, and almost all the other brands though.

Me too, like Kathy...fair skinned green eyed blonde...and ditto on taking the dreaded high blood pressure meds.  I love my big floppy hats!  Wear them all the time in ports we visit.  😄  Bucky's hat blew off right into the river in St. Lucia.  Bummer...sank right away.  He doesn't wear them often.

Speaking of hats...he still has a Vietnam hard hat...the one made of straw I think it is. And yes...he knows about the Boonie hats. 😁

Exactly. Mine is no longer in that good of condition and faded a lot more. I don't dare wear it as it might fall apart after 50 years. I always wear a hat of some type when I'm outside, at home and especially in the Caribbean. Funny thing and not sure why but in my mid 50's I must have started growing again as I started growing threw my hair on top which left it a lot thinner on top than it use to be.  🤣

Yup, agree..I think you are indeed brothers.  😉   Bucky is a big whimpy baby when it gets cold though.  🥶

Plus having been cut on four times due to "El Sol" shining on me a bit too much when I was young...I am not a sun goddess.  😮

I did 3 MOHS and 1 radiation. I see a hard place from the radiation one needs attention. And a hard place on my upper lip, probably more. I have to get to a gp who will demand a full work up to get a referral.  I really need to get in myself.

Was a freckled red head, not a blond like you guys, but we have the fair skin.

Of course other things too, like teeth cleaning. Idk when they will reopen. All of us here behind.

Congratulations are in order for me.   Found out yesterday that I am a grandmother again, our daughter named her Astin.                              ( Ash for nickname).
Ash joins her sister who is soon to be four years old.
I am glad this happened now since our daughters wedding is this summer.

First is Ash’s baby picture.
Second. Is Ash with Roxy.

I hope after the wedding we are blessed with grandchildren.

Stay healthy.

We're celebrating today (4th lock down...) our 48th wedding anniversary, and DH b'day 😁

The boys sent me flowers

and for DH, who likes to cook, a weird "contraption", meant to "house" different herbs (drill, basil, coriander, mint), while worms, fed by us from leftovers, will provide the compost....

Gosh I think red heads have it worse than we blondes though.  Yeah...no fun.  Had one MOHs, and three "filets" on shoulders...felt he was gutting a fish.  Dread going into my annual Dermo appointments.  What else are they going to cut on now?  😬

Charlie has had quite a few skin cancers.  One left him with about 14 stitches which I got to remove on our B2B Harmony cruise two years ago!  I am available to remove stitches.4B9CE3B4-0A6F-4AA1-8FC9-5D749551A64C.thumb.jpeg.89e373708a2538bab2a95fa40af49395.jpeg

Ouch!!!   Looks like the ones on my shoulders.  The one near my nose, they did the MOHs...thankfully.  Can't even see that scar.

My dad has had like 50 by now and says no more. The scar tissue on the top of his head is so thick the skin doctor cant see below it and my mom has been applying creme so it's not so hard and thick.  He was a scratch golfer until age 90.

He and I both have had a place upper nose near our eye. One of mine was in the corner of my eye and a specialist had to sew it up. I'm very conscious of my scars. So is my dad. He has scars on top of scars. Lol we must all be getting older. ..but who doesnt love the sun?

Sorry to hear Pat.

Pauline had a basal cell skin cancer on her chest removed.

It just looked like a spot from an insect bite which wouldn't disappear

She has fair skin and used to have a couple of sunbed sessions to get a bit of colour before we went on holiday.

We were sun worshippers then but not since she had the BCSC about 7 years ago.

DITTO.  HAPPY EVERYTHING!!@    Beautiful Flowers.  Enjoy.  It does look like a strange contraception but looks great for herbs.  I, too, love my gardening.

I'm blonde with blue eyes.  I tan very easy.  Most people cannot believe how tan I get since I'm fair skin in winter.   As I have been on beaches since I was born and love outdoor activities I had some spots if concern on my chest and shoulders.  My Dermo prescribed

http://chemocare.com/chemotherapy/drug-info/fluorouracil-cream.aspx

Omg I could gross everyone out with pictures of my raw red skin that I have for 4 to 6 weeks of using this cream.

When all done and healed I have baby soft skin in places I applied.

After I was done, doc told me most people dont make it passed 2 weeks of the treatment he was proud I made it and said my skin will be good for another 50 years in those locations.

Just last week I asked by phone if he could prescribe another tube as I figure I'm working from home I'll put some on my forehead and nose.  It will get all scabby and oozy by week 2,  then around week 3 or 4 top 2 or 3 layers of skin will peel off, its gross and very painful, but well worth the torture so I can continue to enjoy my beach and outdoor activities.

I have had so many skin cancers removed that I finally opted for laser treatment. It went deep to get rid of any precancerous lesions as well as the few that could be seen.

Screen Shot 2021-01-17 at 6.41.21 PM.png

Very painful but worth it, imo.   Lots of vaseline.  I also had a prescription strength ointment that came in big tub, I cannot remember the name.

What I found very helpful during the healing process was prednisone.  Helped with the inflammation.

Surprisingly not painful at all. I took 2 ibuprofen the day of surgery and nothing for pain after that. Lots of Aquaphor and vinegar soaks.

That's great!

With the chemo cream I did and how raw my skin was, I was in constant pain for a good 2 or 3 weeks and tylenol does nothing for me.

Oh...I should probably ask about that small oddly placed mole, same location. My last dermatologist was terrible (and lazy) I will have to inquire about one, when new insurance kicks in Feb. Thanks for mentioning that.

Wow...disappear for a day and this place turns into a dermatologist's waiting room.  Might as well join in.  Put me in the fair skin and freckles category.  Had a basil cell spot removed from my thigh about 15 years ago.  Not much else other than an occasional freeze of an Actinic Keratoses, aka pre-cancerous spot (had to look that one up to remember what it was called).  Sun and fair skin definitely do not mix.

My mother was a big sun worshipper growing up and had many spots removed from her face.  She eventually did the full facial peel.  I still recall the tomato pizza like picture of her face from 2-3 days after the procedure.  Yuck.  Once healed, she looked at least 10 years younger.  There are better ways though to look younger.
