We just cooked our last dinner in this house.  😢  Will eat out tomorrow night so we don’t have to do dishes.  Then Monday all our kitchen appliances etc will be packed up.  We can bring home takeout as we have dishes we’re not taking…but an end of an era.

Hopefully a happy new beginning.

Wishing you so much happiness in your new home as you begin making many wonderful memories together!

Graham, I follow her on Instagram and she is currently in Vegas.  From the photos she appears to be taking in some Rodeo as well as some traditional Vegas fun.

I guess no trip report here since Vegas is not a cruise port?  No more pirate ship battles at TI (formerly Treasure Island) casino although The Venetian does have actual canals with working Gondolas. Does that make it a cruise port?

Too bad, somehow I think Vegas would be one of her more entertaining trips. I may need to expand my social media presence.  Not just for @singinalot but just in general.

This is the “before baking” shape.

If they morph into some other shape, I may not be able to show their finished look. 😉

Your cookies will definitely NOT put you in Monopoly mode.

My granddaughter has to do an ancestry paper with the dates of her Great Grandparents.  I told her I could go back pretty far with some of my ancestors, but it was not needed.  After getting off of the phone with her, I looked at my dad's side of the family first...I remember mentioning quite a long time ago on this thread that I am related to the Hatfield's.  My dad's Mom was a Hatfield.  I can go back to my GGG Grandfather, Ale Alexander Hatfield, who was born in 1778 in Washington County, Va.

My mom's family was (and some still there) from Amorbach, Miltenberg, Bavaria, Germany.  My Grandfather and his siblings were born on Staten Island, I was 3rd generation Staten Islander, and 3 of my grandchildren are 5th generation Staten Islanders.

That is great.I cannot go back at all because my father was born December 12,1895.I never knew my grandparents on either side.

Vegas was always my favorite!  We first went in 1972 and continued going until the kiddies arrived.  Then went back in 1999 and kept going every year until we discovered cruising😁

Alas,we were only there once in 1996.We were in Reno in 1999.

We have traced back 16 generations to the 1300’s.

Wow.I am the first to be born in the US .Both of my parents were born in Poland .In 1990 one of my cousins went to the city where her father and my mother (siblings) were born. She took with her copies of all documents I had that were my mothers and the same for her father and she was unable to find any ancestry information.

My husband's aunt can trace her ancestry back to the Mayflower. She can't actually claim Mayflower status tho. One ancestor is accepted in the lineage, but there are no actual written records of her found. Until written records on this person can be obtained, she is "this close."

This is, at the same time, sad and happy.

I'm sure you will miss the old place. But I know you will make many lovely memories going forward.

Enjoy your new adventure.

We got it from a vendor at the City Market. Really cool place within walking distance from the piers. It supposedly was made from clay from the Bay of Fundy.

What a beautiful cat.

We have a bog standard tabby that we got from a shelter.  I said when we were getting her that ‘looks don’t matter’.     We got her at the start of the pandemic when visiting shelters was out of the question so we kind of just got what we were given.   Don’t tell my Princess Ninkasi but when I see other more upmarket cats I sort of wish we had been more selective.

Good morning.

-4°C and sunny with a light dusting of snow here.

I have a hospital appointment tomorrow to get a couple of skin cancers removed from my face.☹️☹️

Good Morning.  I hope that you are keeping warm.  So worrying to hear about the very cold weather and all the concerns about fuel bills.

I hope that all goes well tomorrow, especially that there are no cancellations.

Along with my Maine Coons I have 2 tabby cats.  Elmer is the heart of our family.  He loves everyone, especially my husband.  He demands to be wet combed if you are in the bathroom.  Storm just moved in one day.  He is my snuggle cat at night and has the best purr.  Your Princess Ninkasi was meant to be with you and as time goes by you will know why.

I don't know what -4 translates to but it sounds cold.  Will keep you in my thoughts for a quick, easy time tomorrow.

Hope all goes well with your appointment tomorrow, Graham.

We had 39° F and rain this morning.

My Monday will be spent as every Monday, getting my daughter to and from her cancer treatment appointments.

-4°C is about 25°F.  Still cold.
