not staying logged in

Might not be a permeant fix but it did work for me.  

(I had done the clearing of cookies and restarting for background)

 

If you have CHROME, launch it.  Then launch in the 'Incognito' mode.  (launce chrome then press Ctrl+Shift+N)

Bingo - works.

I have been using this in Safari and works for me too.

I've had bigtime problems staying logged in on both Mac laptops using Safari, but no problems on the desktop PC using Firefox.  It either won't allow me to log in, or after I do and access a thread, it wants me to do it again.  Will try the incognito on the Macs, but I don't think we should have to do the extra step.  While I'm on a rant, why can't they move the logout button further away from the Boards button.  I can't tell you how many times I've logged myself out (prior to this latest round of problems) without meaning to.  If it were moved to the right about an inch or so, it wouldn't be so easy to log myself out trying to access the Boards.

I hadn’t had any problems until two days ago when suddenly none of the buttons were active. I couldn’t log in from boards page, but could from main page. If i tried to quote it quoted the whole thread instead of the post I selected and then after replying it wouldn’t post my reply. 
 

This was on the IPad and has been an ongoing reported issue for several weeks now although I had no problems until two days ago. Private mode seems to be a temporary fix which I seem to remember has been a work around previously.

I had terrible problems for a few days staying logged in and accessing notifications or even just logging in.  I got this info from CC and it helped.  I followed the directions plus a few more deletions and it worked.

Problems for weeks for me; in private mode, not private mode, deleted cookies daily and it happens on wifi and data mode. 
 

Other examples, it says I’m logged on the top of the page and yet on the bottom of the page it says login to post. Other times when you quote, it shows the entire thread posts in order of newest to oldest below the post box and you can not submit. I will be logged in on one page of a thread, and when you skip to the next page I’m logged out.  No rhyme or reason. 
 

It’s been happening on IOS 14 and the newest IOS 15.0.2. 🤯

Switch to a laptop.

Bummer. I don't like using ME or Firefox. Google chrome is my default browser.

My experience on my iPad is exactly as @A&L_Ont described.

On my Windows desktop, I appeared to still be logged in on Edge, but couldn’t post or like a post. I keep expecting to see multiple duplicate posts from my failed efforts on the desktop, but none have showed up so far. I’ve cleared everything out, so hopefully nothing is lost in cyberspace.

I still can't login on ipad or macbook running safari, even in private mode, was able to login 2 days ago using macbook with private browser, using Safari.

 

I am able to login using my work laptop, a lenovo, using google chrome, only in igcognito mode.  Regular google chrome, I can see forums, but not log in.  🙂    Hope this helps those trying to address the problems & thank you :)

Yes, I forgot to mention the "like" function either.  When logged on and it doesn't function, so I log out and log back on.  I've taken to copying posts before I hit post, because enough have them have just disappeared to outer space.

When I trouble shot our IT environment, it inevitably leads me back to the DNS servers in one way or another.  There is a great IT life lesson in the form of a Haiku.  IT goes: 

It's not DNS

There's no way it's DNS

It was DNS

Well like others have said, it may work for awhile or even sometimes 2 days then back to square one.   Such as now-I had to clear my data/cache to be able to post this plus of course had to sign back in.

Indeed, the overall problem has not been "resolved."  I was kicked off on my iPad earlier today.  As the discussions on this long thread confirm, the issue is intermittent.  Things may work fine for a day or so or more, and then they don't.

Right now Chrome is working for me on my PC.  Edge is not.  The problem is not resolved.
