Resumption of cruises announced for Regent. First cruise for you will be?

So they finally announced the resumption of Regent cruises. Most especially there introduction of the Splendor on 9/11/21. I am very excited to get to go on the ship. What will your first Regent cruise be and was it your first choice or a “substitute”?

Our first Regent Cruise is the Med 5/6/22 on Splendor.  Actually we were booked on the 9/11/21 Splendor but canceled awhile ago.  Not sorry we did, even though it looks like it will sail.  Didn't really want to be on the first cruise back after such a long layoff.

Miami to Miami for 10 days on Explorer on February 04, 2022. First choice. Just itching for a cruise again. Been a while since February 2020 on a Viking ship.

Feb. 3rd 2022 Miami to Miami cruise on Splendor.  Chosen become of the itinerary.  Replaced a Mediterranean cruise that I knew would never happen in Aug. 2021.

We will be on the Splendor April 5, 2022 as our first cruise back.  We have three more on Regent in the 12 months that follow.  So great to see some light on the horizon!

Any chance to safely cruise is an improvement no? Ours will be the April ‘22 Miami to Barcelona transatlantic. Originally supposed to be on the 3rd cruise of the new Splendor March 15 2020. Had to cancel one day before Regent did. So only FCC no refund. That’s ok, we got a better cabin and something to look forward to!

Resumption 'Holiday' cruise on Mariner on 18 December.  We were booked on the 'COVID-Cancelled' Splendor San Diego - Miami cruise of 15 March 2020.   Our TA found this itinerary weeks later and reserved it as a mirror image of the lost cruise.   Initially we though Dec 2021 was a mile out after the start of the cruises.  Little did we know it'd be the start.

We are on Splendor 17 Dec 21 for 20 nights.  We have had many cruises cancelled and Splendor is not our first choice; but it will work.

2022 world cruise on Mariner, wherever it goes. Like others, had multiple cruises cancelled starting in April 2020.

That resumption date and cruise was announced a while ago. And we were happy that we had already rebooked from that cruise and its following cruise on Splendor,  which we had booked long ago, to a similar back to back cruise in September 2022.

We cruise to see what's onshore, and not be be onboard the ship. If we can't do excursions (and we don't mind doing those provided by Regent) we don't want to go on the cruise.

We didn't want to take a chance that we would be cruising around the UK and the coast of Northern France, Spain, Portugal, and Spain again without being able to explore the ports. We had no interest in Morocco, and unfortunately that's still the same port on the 2022 cruise.

But we hope that everything will be open for exploration by 2022.

Our first cruise after the restart will be the Splendor transatlantic in November.  That is quickly followed up by a Miami roundtrip in December on Explorer (formerly on Mariner), and the Panama Canal in January on Explorer.  Can't wait to be back at sea! 🙂

Splendor July 3, 2022, Baltic.  No chain of FCC's and cancellations for us, although we did cancel the 2021 WC about a year ago.

Explorer at Barcelona on October 31st to transit the Atlantic to (hopefully) Miami.  This was a switch for similar itinerary we booked over a year ago on Mariner.  Regent canceled that one, together with several others I do not wish to dredge-up again.

Splendor on Nov. 11, 2021 to replace a Dec. 2020 cruise.  Then off on the 2022 World Cruise wherever it goes.  We cannot wait.  I may cry with joy when we get back on board.

We rebooked a cancelled August 2021 Mariner cruise and will now sail July 2022 on the Explorer - Rome to Barcelona.

January 6, 2022 on the Splendor! We were booked on the Splendor in April 2020. Obviously, that did not happen.
