Good morning. I like both types of cards as it is always a nice gesture. There are many trails  around here, even one down the street that follows the Aqueduct. It is beautiful  and in some spots it looks high over the Hudson River. The recipes look fabulous,  @dfish and I have all the ingre dients for the first one. Thanks!

@rafinmd,I hope you feel well and can get home soon.I hope the pain is less as well.

@grapau27,all the best, please let us know how you are

@kazu,I hope things go well today.Thank you for everything  you do here.

Good morning friends!  I had a good night's sleep last night and my back is doing A-okay so I'm feeling blessed.  First thing today I want to send prayers and good thoughts to @rafinmdand @grapau27 Roy I hope the hospital stay is concluded soon and you're home resting comfortably this afternoon.  Graham I'm hopeful you will have an easy and painless basal cell surgery.  Prayers things go well for both of you gentlemen. 🙏

@kazuyou did a stellar job of making up the lists today.  Prayers for everyone and cheers to the large group of celebrants.  Good luck Jacqui at your appointments and with the verdicts.  🤞   @ger_77congratulations to your DS and DDIL on their 11th wedding anniversary!  I do hope your DH's sister's valve replacement goes smoothly.  That is something my Mother went through.  Prayers for her, too!🙏

Today we celebrated Take a Hike Day by doing our walking outdoors through our beautiful neighborhood.  2.4 miles. Though leaves have been lost on many trees, many of them are still showing their bright red, orange and yellow colors.  Today we walked past the Peppermint Pattie stone that used to sit on the tree branch and it was GONE!  Someone had taken it away which makes me sad.  Oh well, I'll keep my eyes open and perhaps find it placed somewhere else.  I wish I had some homemade bread.  Gerry's rolls always sound good!  As for electronic greeting cards, I agree that I like the ones I can hold in my hands as well.  The roasted parmesan chicken sounds good to me.  I'll check out the recipe.  I'm sure Roy would have been happy to have that for dinner last night instead of what he was presented with!  😄

I stopped in Salvador, Brazil in 2015 and will go searching for some photos next.  It may take more than a few minutes to locate.  In the meantime have a good Wednesday everyone.

Good morning everyone. Thank you Jacqui for filling in for Roy and for putting that oh so true comment about the strength I have needed during this difficult time . It has taken strength and courage to walk through this.
Roy, hope you are well and home soon.

Today I am off to the dentist while Sam goes to the Ophthalmologist . They worked me very hard at PT yesterday but its good to know I’m getting back into shape.

Stay safe everyone,

Carol

Good morning, thanks for the Daily!  I'm always amazed at the creativity of electronic greeting cards, but there's nothing like holding a card in your hand, reading what someone has written.  I made buns a few days ago, and we still have a lot, but I'll be making more next week, so that one will be taken care of.

Take a hike day - well after the snow that fell all day yesterday and most of last night, we won't be hiking anywhere far.  Likely to the front door where we'll shovel our way out and then tackle the driveway, sidewalks, and if there's any energy left, the back patio.  Trust me, we'll be getting lots of fresh air, but after it's done, there'll be coffee and Bailey's waiting for us to enjoy.

A couple of things today - a celebration for our DS and DDIL who celebrate their 11th anniversary, and a prayer request for DH's sister who is undergoing valve replacement this morning.  She received a call late yesterday saying due to the weather, there had been a number of cancellations, and if she could get to the hospital this morning by 6:30, they could do the surgery.

@grapau27sending good vibes your way for an easy surgery today.

@kazuyou've got a lot on your plate, sending you prayers and good wishes that everything turns out well for you.

I really like the sound of today's menu suggestion, but with the weather we've got going on, I'm putting together a big pot of hamburger soup.  It's easy to make, it makes the house smell great, and accompanied by some of the buns I made the other day, will be on our dinner table tonight.  And wine.

Prayers for everyone who needs them and even for those who don't think they do.   Extra prayers for @rafinmdthat you're back with us soon!  Raising the glasses together to toast all on the happy list.  Stay safe, wash your hands, be well and wear your masks.

Smooth Sailing!  🙂🙂🙂

Gerry

Thank you Gerry.

Happy 11th wedding anniversary to your DS and DDIL.

Sending prayers to your DHs sister for a successful valve replacement.

My favourite card is a specially made cruise birthday card my late mam gave me 10 years ago a few weeks before she died.

Pauline promised my mam the card would take pride of place for all my future birthdays which it does.

Graham.

Good morning Dailyites and thank you Rich for our Daily.

Prayers out to Roy and Graham. Hoping all goes well with you both today.

Our care list is still growing. My hope is we have a full page of shout outs and celebrations and no one left on our cares list.

A beautiful dinner last night. Met our friends downtown. We had the patio to ourselves with a soft breeze and 80 degrees. On our way home a deer came within her tail of being hit. I shook all the way home.

The dinner and wine sounds good. Not sure what tonight's fare will be.

I loved my aunts hoska warm out of the oven.

Ecards as Graham mentioned will carry spam. Many things learned when identity is stolen..

Have an awesome day. Prayers, Cheers and Blessings

Thank you for your prayers.

Appointment is in less than 3 hours.

Graham.

Happy Wednesday.  I don't like electronic greeting cards, I guess it is because I'm a demonstrator for a card crafting company.  I like to send them.  Haven't made bread in year and I don't think I'll take a hike.  Interesting quote.  The meal sounds wonderful. Have not been to Brazil, looking forward to the photo's of the destination of the day.

Prayers and toasts to our lists.  Thank you @kazufor helping Roy.

On Feb. 13, 2015 the Ruby Princess stopped in Salvadaor da Bahia, Brazil on a very hot day.  DH and I didn't know it at the time, but @Quartzsite CruiserLenda and her DH were also on this cruise with us.  We headed out from the ship passing by and through the Mercado Modelo on our way to the Elevador Lacerda.  Local spelling, not mine.

We enjoyed our walk through Salvador, but remember to always be alert and not wear jewelry when walking around in Brazil.  Many times tourists are robbed by brazen thieves roaming the streets.

Does a 100-200 yard walk around the hospital ward count as a hike?

I was on a zero diet most of yesterday and by the time I got a room and got the “no food” order lifted the kitchen was closed.  What I got was what was in stock on my floor.  I could phone in my own breakfast.  The French toast was nothing like on a BHB  but still satisfied.

Still on IV antibiotics but hoping to be discharged when I can switch to pills.

Thank you Kay!  I enjoy seeing everyone else's photos too because you never know what you might have missed.  Any we don't have a lot of food photos from our trips like others seem to have.

So happy to hear things are progressing.   At least breakfast was a step up from dinner.  You can tell what it is.

Good morning all!

Today we will have no rain!  I know it's a relief to the towns around us experiencing flooding -- the rain is coming back tomorrow, hopefully just a drizzle!

Like others, I prefer cards I can hold in my hands, but any kind of card is a nice gesture.  I love the smell of bread baking,  but rarely have it because of what it does to my blood sugar.  Luckily I'm not that crazy about breads!  We hiked a lot in our younger years, and funny thing is, we do more hiking (3-5 mile walks) around ports on cruises than we do at home.  I guess that's why I have a treadmill.  The meal sounds great, especially the last one -- am printing that one off!  Like Debbie I love anything with balsamic.  The wine and drink sound good too, have never been to Brazil.  Thank you @StLouisCruisersfor the great photos!

Our news today is ..... drum roll .....  the tree service is finally coming out this morning to look at those pesky Cottonwoods in the protected land behind us!  I sure hope they do more than just look!!  There's one small tree actually leaning over my neighbor's fence and it's definitely coming down sooner than later.

We're going to DD's and DSIL's house for dinner tonight, so I don't know yet what we'll be having for dinner but I know I won't be cooking it. 🙂

@grapau27best wishes today on your basal cell skin cancer removal.

@ger_77prayers for your DH's sister's valve replacement.

@rafinmdhoping we hear that you're home again very soon.

@StLouisCruisersgreat news that your back feels better today!

@kazuprayers that things go well today for you.
