Deployment 2024-25 booking season begins

Recommended Posts

Dear Travel Partner,

Our original plan for Jewel of the Seas was to offer sailings departing from Amsterdam, Netherlands through August 10th, 2024. However, due to changes in our itinerary planning, Jewel of the Seas will now sail from Haifa, Israel beginning August 16th, 2024. To accommodate the repositioning of the ship for our new Haifa season, your clients' upcoming Jewel of the Seas cruise has been cancelled.

We know how much time and effort go into planning your clients' vacation, and we're terribly sorry for the inconvenience. Their vacation is important to us, along with the flexibility to make the best decision for them and those in your party. Below, we've outlined their options along with a few additional details.

Option 1: Re-book one of the following 2024 itineraries onboard Jewel of the Seas departing from Amsterdam, Netherlands:

  • 12-Night Iceland & Scotland Cruise on June 23rd sailing to:
    • Reykjavik, Iceland | Isafjordur, Iceland | Seydisfjordur, Iceland | Akureyri, Iceland | Lerwick/Shetland, Scottland | Inverness/Loch Ness Scotland | and Edinburgh, Scotland
  • 13-Night Arctic Circle Cruise on July 5th sailing to:
    • Geiranger, Norway | Molde, Norway | Honningsvag, Norway | Tromso, Norway | Arctic Circle (cruising) | Flam, Norway | Alesund, Norway | and Bergen, Norway

What they'll receive:

  • Their original stateroom category price will either be protected at their original cruise fare rate or reduced to the current cruise fare rate (whichever is lower). This excludes taxes, fees, gratuities, and other non-cruise fare items.
    • If their booking was already paid in full and their cruise fare rate decreases, we'll provide them with a refund for the difference. They can expect to receive their refund to their original form of payment within 14 business days after we move them. Kindly note, refund times may vary depending on their financial institution.
  • Lastly, you'll receive protected commission.

Option 2: Re-book any other Royal Caribbean International sailing.

  • If they prefer to re-book another sailing not included in Option 1, we'll waive any non-refundable deposit change fees.
  • Please know, they'll be responsible for any difference in pricing for their cruise fare, taxes, fees, gratuities, and other non-cruise fare items.
    • If their booking was already paid in full and their cruise fare rate decreases, we'll provide them with a refund for the difference. They can expect to receive their refund to their original form of payment within 14 business days after we move them. Kindly note, refund times may vary depending on their financial institution.
  • Lastly, your commission will be based on the revised cruise fare paid.

Option 3: If they can't find an itinerary that works for them and choose to cancel, we'll be sad to see them go. They'll receive:

  • A full refund of any paid portion of their cruise fare (including non-refundable deposits) and any pre-paid amenities to the original form of payment within 14 business days - some international banking and financial institutions may have a processing time of approximately 30 business days.
    • If they used a Future Cruise Credit on this sailing, and they request a refund instead, we'll refund any NEW funds paid above the certificate amount, and we'll reinstate their original certificate.
  • If they booked their airfare through Royal Caribbean International, it will be automatically refunded to them. However, if they booked on their own, please contact the service provider directly for their options.
  • Please know, if they choose this option, we will not provide additional compensation.
  • Lastly, you'll receive protected commission if the booking is paid in full only.

Please note, any unsold group space (inventory without names and full deposit) does not qualify for the alternate options provided.

It's important to us that your clients find the best cruise option. Please call us at 888-281-9344 by May 10th, 2023 to let us know their decision. And please know, hold times may be longer than usual. If they decide to go with Option 3, there's no need to call us. If we haven't heard from you by May 10th, 2023, their reservation will be cancelled.

If you have any questions, please contact us at:

  • 1 888 281 9344 in the U.S.
  • 1800 754 500 in Australia / 0800 102 123 in New Zealand

  • All other countries, please visit http://www.royalcaribbean.com/contactus for your local Royal Caribbean International office phone number.

Sincerely,

Icon will be in Miami, but I agree that between the outrageous pricing for Icon and Wonder and now Utopia doing short cruises, I won’t be on any of them.

Ahh..thanks...I ended up getting those mega theme park ships mixed up.  😉  It's Utopia that most believe will be home ported here in PC.  😄

And same as you...no desire at all to board either Utopia or Icon.

This made me so sad!  Our bucket list cruise!

Is there any expectation that Jewel with have a revenue, repositioning cruise from Amsterdam to Barcelona?  There is an 11 day break between sailings (7/29 - 8/8).

I would think there would be something.

Just out of Captain's Corner on Anthem. I asked where she is going after her summer 2024 season and he confirmed Singapore but said he couldn't say any more than that for the moment.

It has always confused me as to why they have chosen to base Anthem in Singapore, since Quantum has already had a partial conversion to suit the Asian market (e.g. Signage and Restaurants - Noodle Bar). To me it would make more sense for Royal to have Anthem do Alaska/Australia and Quantum back in Singapore.

Yes.  And why are they home porting a ship in Singapore that was specifically designed for cool weather?  You really wonder how these decisions are made.

Anthem has open outdoor Windjammer seating on the aft.  Spectrum does not.  One could argue Spectrum is more of a cold weather ship than Anthem is.

Quantum was in Singapore to restart cruising.  Anthem is nearly a mirror copy of Quantum.

They all have indoor casinos.  That's as important as anything else in Singapore.

Any idea when we'll know about Amsterdam to Barcelona on Jewel. We end our British Isles on Jewel on the 29th. And would love to continue on to Barcelona.

If China is open, they will send 2 Quantum classes to China, Spectrum, and probably Quantum to HK and Tianjin/Shanghai. Anthem is better suited to Singapore than Anthem would be for the Chinese market.

This likely could be seasonal sailing between China and Australia, or just China.. Who knows..

I continue to hope RCI will again someday have one of our favorite itineraries Singapore-Shanghai.

I think you'll have to wait a bit longer. Due to its preferred popularity, they'll probably reinstate Tianjin first as a homeport before Shanghai. And you'll only get this itinerary if it's repositioning to Singapore, which should only occur once.

Yes, we did the Quantum 12N Beijing (Tianjin) - Singapore repositioning in Oct 2019 and it was wonderful! The ports were Fukuoka, Taipei, Hong Kong,  Hue Danang, Ho Chi Minh. Would love to do this/similar itinerary again.!

On the other hand Bayley has made statements before that never come to fruition.  He loves to play this game.

I'll believe it when the deployment team announces her itineraries.

They even went as far as to edit that part out when you listen to the taped event.

Pretty much confirms Utopia to Port Canaveral taking over the short itineraries from Allure

I guess Bayley gave no timeline on when any info on  Utopia and/or it's bookings will start?

I saw this while messing around online.... It certainly does not say it will be doing 3/4 cruises, but it does say Schneider said it will be all Bahamian. It alludes to short cruises, but does not come out and say it.

Personally, I want 3/4 day Utopia PDCC cruises... specifically 3 day cruises.

Reports that today Vicki Freed made a reference to Utopia coming in July 2024.

When does Allure leave PCN? 🙂

Someone posted on one of these threads a schedule showing the Icon is scheduled to leave Cadiz for PC on 6/23/24.  Since the Icon will already be sailing they must have meant Utopia.  That would bring her to PC early July 2024
