coolio111 Posted November 12, 2019 #1 Share Posted November 12, 2019 Was checking in for my cruise and one of the things that it asked for was a security photo. I was able to check in without a photo. Do you usually upload a photo, what are the specifications for the photos. Should I also upload a photo for my kids. Thanks

Thanks It's easier just to let them do it at the pier. You don't need to do it. Edited November 12, 2019 by time4u2go
Ourusualbeach Posted November 12, 2019 #3 Share Posted November 12, 2019 It will give you the specifications once you start the photo process.
Goofyfanatic Posted November 12, 2019 #4 Share Posted November 12, 2019 We do it and it is real easy to do, takes less than a minute. As has been said you can have it done at the pier.
Coralc Posted November 12, 2019 #5 Share Posted November 12, 2019 We have photos (saved) from previous check ins that have been requested. I was prepared to use them again for our recent SetSail pass check in for Majesty. It didn't ask for them. Instead, there was a Biometric security permission check box. Whatever. matj2000 Posted November 12, 2019 #6 Share Posted November 12, 2019 don't bother. Even if you download a photo. They will most likely take it again during checkin process....
GTO-Girl Posted November 12, 2019 #7 Share Posted November 12, 2019 We never do it....just have them take it at the pier...

We have never had to have our picture retaken at the port either and we have been uploading our own pictures for Anthem since 2016.
Esmerelda Posted November 12, 2019 #11 Share Posted November 12, 2019 We have always added our own photo that any ship allows this on. It saves us time at the port. We breeze right through check in. Enjoy your trip!😊
Rare sparks1093 Posted November 12, 2019 #12 Share Posted November 12, 2019 It took them about 10 seconds to take our photos during check in so you don't save much by doing it.

WarGuyEd Posted November 12, 2019 #14 Share Posted November 12, 2019 I just completed our check-in process at work. Since my wife was not here, I skipped her photo. I know that we can wait till at the port. But, is there a way to go back and edit on the app and add her photo? TIA

I checked in for my January Allure cruise about a month ago, and during that time my credit card got hacked, so I have a new card, and there is no way I can change it. I will have to handle it with guest services on board I have been told. Dumb. jc

BTHodgeman Posted November 12, 2019 #18 Share Posted November 12, 2019 We uploaded photos and three of the four needed new photos taken at the port. Going through expedited checkin (with facial recognition), it only picked up one of us.

KelSny1011 Posted November 12, 2019 #21 Share Posted November 12, 2019 They have rejected the photos I included on two cruises now so I dont even bother anymore. (When doing precheck in online) Also, my youngest likes to do this weird smile that has the crew people always chuckling when they scan his cruise card. I'd like to note the RCL has always let him do that smile but Carnival wont. LOL

njkruzer Posted November 26, 2019 #23 Share Posted November 26, 2019 Did our checkin for our February 9th cruise out of Sydney on the Radiance and it didn't ask for a photo...and I had taken a new one since they didn't like the old one. Will do the checkin for the 2nd cruise later this week and see what happens.
