Now I want to eat at Fat Bastard Burrito!!!  I wonder if they could get away with opening a location in the USA with that name?

We have a locally owned restaurant here called The Big Burrito.  They have a menu item called the "Don't even think about it!" burrito, and they mean it -- you get your picture on the wall if you finish it by yourself in under an hour, and there aren't many pictures on their wall!

I think it's about 24" (61cm) long, and about 5" (13cm) wide.  As a result, the restaurant has always been called "Big Effing Burrito" in our house!

We are 1.5 hours late getting into Halifax. Since we left St. John's the fog horns have been going off continuously. At times you could hardly see about 150 out.

Just wondered if you have overheard anything from the crew where Jewel might be going for the next cruise that starts on the 14th when you get off? Our itinerary is not looking promising.

The fog bank extends all the way down to RI.

Yikes! Wonder if it's going to make us late into other port? We were supposed to have 10 people on this tour, but 3 are out sick. It's nice having 7 people on a 15 passenger van.

No I haven't, but I haven't really left the cabin until today. I'll ask the DL concierge in the next day or so. He might know something by then.

This is how I spent yesterday. This is the apple tree after Chris had spent several hours picking.

The garden under the tree is a work in progress- we keep having to dig up our neighbour’s poplar roots! Eventually it will be lush. I was going to put delphiniums in, but they’re poisonous to dogs and cats. Any suggestions for a Zone 3 plant? I’m thinking of meadowsweet, for something tall against the fence.

Another question, because we not really sure where we are going  on this cruise can we use our sea pass card to get cash at the guest relations desk? I assume we can use our sea pass card to get chips at the casino and then turn them back into cash right without any kind of fee, is this correct?

Poor Sherlock. I hope he feels better soon. I always felt bad about having our pets spayed or neutered but it is the right thing to do. And we have to do it with our Cavaliers as it was part of the contract we signed since they are pure breeds and we are not allowed to breed.

@sgmn An author that I am really liking is Louise Penny (I believe Dani recommended her ages ago!) It’s about small town life and murders in a Quebec village. I gather that Three Pines is like Cabot Cove or Midsummer- spending time there is dangerous!

There definitely is a Canadian flavour, which I find nice.

Good morning.

It was 75°F and humid last night but it is cloudy and 62°F now at 09.20am with a high of 70°F later with thunderstorms expected.

I hope everyone is safe and well and y'all are having a great weekend.

Boy, your weather sounds appealing after our miserable stretch of 100°+ days.
