Here is a reveal video from some friends I want to share.  The video was compressed when it was sent to me so it will be small.  Hope you can see it because it is cool.

I tried and thought this posted this morning.   I then wondered if it got deleted and why. I just found it in the reply box!  Attempt 2.

That's cool

Now, that's what I call traveling in style!!!  Welcome to Venice, enjoy your time there!  Pictures are awesome, Deb.   Love your balcony!!  What does your hotel room look like?

Andy says the problem with flying premium is it’s like a cruise ship balcony cabin - once you have it, it’s hard to go back!

Here are some pictures from the room.  The bed looks very basic but is very comfortable. IMG_9852.thumb.jpeg.7c34c5651193244927e2bf96d5fba66d.jpeg

You enter into this little vestibule area, bedroom is to the right, bathroom to the left.

Included in the rate is a small breakfast buffet which you can eat inside or on this nice little outdoor terrace.

@Ocean Boy We paid $300 per night for the room with the terrace.  The address is: Campo San Provolo 4701 Castello.  We have found it very conveniently located.

@Momof3gurlz Looks like you are having great weather. We have only been to Venice once for a cruise but never really got to see the city. Need to go back as I am loving your pictures. Have fun and thanks for posting your pictures.

Venice is just gorgeous.  We keep saying ‘it’s so beautiful it doesn’t seem real”.
We were exhausted last night and both fell asleep by 8pm. I’m hoping to get out for a bit tonight to see it after dark.

Hi, a few photos from our day in St. John's, New Foundland.

We took the Coastal Hike excursion.  They take you to the top of Signal Hill and then you walk down.  We really enjoyed it, but not for the faint of heart or those not steady on their feet.

Then went to Basilica of St. John the Baptist. Beautiful.

Then to fish and chips place (excellent) recommended by excursion guide... and then some shopping and back to ship.

Made it home from football in time to watch the start of Below Deck Med. It think this is going to be a very good series. Very interesting start with new storyline. Much nicer boat than the last Med season.

Love the Italian location.

I am surprised they actually left the dock with the crew they had on the boat.  Luka is good at what he knows but he admitted he only knows what he knows and is afraid that he doesn't know something he should be doing.  Someone on that boat dropped the ball when it came to checking out the crew.  Whether it was the first officer that is behind the scenes or Captain Sandy, it is someone's responsibility to make sure they don't get in the position they were in when they got boarded.

Andy has mastered the art of the twirl

IMG_9864.thumb.jpeg.d7212b6aaf710f1e7a97511ee1849663.jpeg

No matter how much I twirl, there are long kind strands hanging off.
So I wind up with a lump the size of a softball that doesn’t fit into my mouth!

How the heck do others manage?

@Ozark_KidI’ll never ever catch up without skipping multiple pages. I tried scanning some and gave up.
I did see you’re getting a scooter.

It sounds like a good one, and will keep you independent for a long time.
Your attitude of enjoying life will help you and your family.

I think about you even when I don’t have time to play on the computer.

Martinique.....In case you never want to get off the ship, see this picture. Its not some boonie island.

I remember the first time I saw the dolphin fountain. It’s exactly like the dolphins on top of the Dolphin Hotel at Disney World.
There’s a lot to that island, including volcanoes and beaches.

Thanks Mimi!  We cruise the 2nd.  I am actually renting an electronic wheelchair called Whills.  It is one that @brillohead Debbi recommended.   I am looking forward to using it.

Speaking of electronic wheelchairs, my new electronic wheelchair was delivered to the house today!  I love it! It can do a 360⁰ tight turn.  It is narrow and gets around the house easy!  I was able to ride it down to the garden.  I took it out front to the street and it was so fast my hair blew back some.  They say the battery last for about 14 miles.  It also let's you raise the chair up to 12 inches, an option called iLevel.  I felt like it was higher.  I will be able to talk eye to eye with people.

Completely agree. I think it is this behind the scenes aspect of running a charter yacht that made the episode so interesting. I have no idea how he managed to get a position aboard that boat. Pretty much everyone agreed that copies of certificates are unacceptable. Seems to me the officers of the boat should have caught the problem earlier.

I use a knife to cut the long strands, hoping that nobody will notice and if they do, I ignore the pitiful, disapproving glances, the shaking of heads and the muttering of "Is that sad sack for real"? 😳

It definitely should have been caught.  There are very specific rules when it comes to the certificates and licenses needed.  Joao was on Down Under sailing as a second officer because he needed more hours sailing at that level position and boat size, so he could sit for his captains license for that size vessel.  Adam talked about who was on the bridge as they didn't have the certification to be officer of the watch.  All those hours are very important for them as they move up through all the different licenses.  If we ever sail on the same ship, I will explain why I am familiar with this process. 🙂
