We are iced in good right now and we are supposed to get hit again this afternoon! The Weather Channel showed pics of Arkansas just across the river from Memphis and it looked like trucks lined up forever and not moving.

Last night my SIL was supposed to go to work at 9am but now closed.  They finally figured out noone is going to see their PT today.  My daughter does OT at the nursing home.  She still had to understandably go in.  Most everything else is closed.

I would say about 85% of the times what hits us hits the NE a day or two later.  You might check the forecast and get prepared.

We had temps in the mid to high 50's the last couple of days but much chillier today.    We had heavy but steady snow flurries for a couple of hours, nothing stuck as the ground is too warm with the mild January we have had.     Freezing temps are on their way here, I think we drop to the 20's as a high tomorrow...burrr

Hopefully we don't have the ice that others have had the last couple of days, Stay Safe😀

I have a shirt my daughter bought me for Christmas that says… “I beat anorexia”.

I have that same shirt from Cozumel (that t-shirt shop just before you exit the building to get a taxi).  The letter "x" in "anorexia" is a crossed knife and fork.

Remodel is just about done, just a few things left to do before the final payment is due.

Still waiting for that drawer front for under the microwave. One  wall where the TV still needs a second coat. Plus some touch ups where workers touched their hands here and there.

After the painting is done they have some wire shelving to install in the closet by the garage door.

It took a long time but well worth the wait, we got it exactly the way we wanted it.

Might bring up some of the pantry items from downstairs and relocate them upstairs where they belong............This weekend unloading all the boxes with dishes in them that we packed away many, many months ago.

I have a shirt my daughter bought me for Christmas that says… “I beat anorexia”. I was going to bring it on the cruise as a joke but then was concerned I might offend someone with an actual eating disorder. That isn’t my intent. I offend enough with all my “We the people…” 2nd amendment stuff.

I hear you. I would see the humor but those who have fought it clearly might not.

Sam’s the Cooking Guy’s shirt might be more appropriate without offending too many. 😁

Kate lives in the same building in Ft Lauderdale as Chef Ben and they were a "thing" in the past.  The other guess would be Bobby.  He also lives near Kate, is older than most of the guys on BD and an interaction between Kate and Andy on WWHL last night makes me wonder.

When I first saw Kate was pregnant my first guess was Chef Ben as the Daddy.    But I am not too sure about that and guessing like you that it is someone else from BD.

I would love it if it was Chef Ben. I guess we will see.

Where is @Momof3gurlz? We have Allure, Navigator, and Odyssey represented this week. She was supposed to supply the fourth ship... Even though it belongs to a different blood line.

I hope Deb checks in. I have a surprise for her at Soggy’s at JVD.

Felt we needed the large island so we could have full size cabinets even on the back side of the island for extra storage space. We even have a cabinets in the center of each end of the island......Counter top is 6'  x 10' has an 1 ' over hang on the one end so we can puts some stools on that end.

So Cabinet space underneath is like  9'  wide on the back side there is 3 cabinets ,    3 ' wide 2 ' deep, all have pull our drawers or shelves for easy getting stuff in and out of.

Wife picked them both..............she wanted a Copper Range Hood too but the Prices for those were crazy high....so to offset the cabinets around the stove we went with the same wood the island was made out of. We think it  still looks great.

I was a little leery to with here picking a black countertop........but it looks great too. Not sure you can see it in the pics but with the lights dimmed, you can walk around the countertop and it sparkles.

We had them put dimmer switches on ALL the lights. Really softens the look and makes the whole room inviting rather then super bright lighting like we used to have. We have  12 can lights in the room, some we added and some we did away with...........and 8 hanging lights, various kinds, pendants, chandeliers etc. Again all with dimmer switches.

Pantry cabinet by fridge.

It looks amazing. All the colors blend very well together.  That backsplash looks very unique or something very new on the market?
