Loverofdogs Posted April 14, 2020 #26 Share Posted April 14, 2020 We were on the Sky on the January 18,202 western Caribbean cruise. Loved The Sky Princess. Our next cruise is on the Enchanted January 30, 2021 for the concerts at sea cruise. So hoping the Enchanted will be over here by then.
KL8615 Posted April 14, 2020 #27 Share Posted April 14, 2020 February 29 - March 15, 2020 Emerald Princess Eastbound Panama Canal. Had a wonderful time and we were not aware of any sickness on board. About 1/2 way through it did become mandatory to wash hands with soap and water before entering the buffet and we could not serve ourselves. We figured someone may have had Noro. We were detained disembarking in Panama for health check and were declined docking in Cartagena. It was still one of the best cruises ever. Can't wait until we can book another trip with Princess. I thought it might be fun to talk about the last Princess cruise you took. Last was East/West Caribbean b2b on Regal mid-December, 2018. Love the Regal. Linsifer Posted April 14, 2020 #38 Share Posted April 14, 2020 Our last cruise was on the Grand out of San Francisco. 15 days to Hawaii April 21-May 6, 2019. We wouldn’t have been able to cruise if it were this year. This was our 2nd time on the Grand. Sailed her for 10 days to Mexico in 2017 out of S.F. We enjoyed ourselves both times. MCC retired Posted April 14, 2020 #39 Share Posted April 14, 2020 Feb 01, 2020 Sky Princess , Western Caribbean. Only caution was being asked if we have been to China in the past 2 weeks . Even handshakes with the captain if you wished . Mere suggestions for hand washing with seldom a hand sanitizer person at the buffet entrances. Certainly a lack of cautions that Princess could have had in place .

We were scheduled to go on the Emerald Princess for a 15 day Hawaii cruise on March 30th that would have ended today, but we all know what happened to that one. metairiegal Posted April 14, 2020 #44 Share Posted April 14, 2020 10-night Panama Canal cruise from/to Fort Lauderdale on the Island Princess December 10-20, 2019. Really enjoyed this lovely ship except for the promenade deck being cut off in the rear to add extra staterooms. Second cruise in the Panama Canal. Both were exceptional! Rare terry&mike Posted April 14, 2020 #45 Share Posted April 14, 2020 Diamond Princess, January 6-20, 2020, Singapore to Tokyo. We were a group of 29 on this 2 week sailing, and had a spectacular time - great cruise, great people, great itinerary! Unfortunately, it was overshadowed by the sailing directly after ours, the January 20th Diamond sailing, as that was the quarantined ship that was all over the news. It became so that none of us could ever mention our trip to anyone and how great it was, without everyone saying things like "You made it out just in time", "Were you scared?", "Oh, bet you won't cruise again", and other comments that stole the joy away. No matter though, to us, this was and remains a fabulous trip. I look forward to the next time!
EMS8 Posted April 14, 2020 #46 Share Posted April 14, 2020 Sky Princess March 7th to 14th, 2020. We were supposed to board Celebrity Silhouette on March 15th but received a text from our TA and Celebrity on March 13th advising it was cancelled. Have Sky Princess booked for 20 days in March 2021. I hope things are back to nearly normal by then.
wheezedr Posted April 14, 2020 #47 Share Posted April 14, 2020 We were on the next to last sailing of the Grand to Mexico Feb 11-21. This was the initial one that had the virus on board but was not recognized while we were sailing. Our email to quarantine did not appear until 12 days after our return, when more cases were recognized on board the cruise to Hawaii as well as some in our fellow passengers who had debarked and gone off in varying direction. Rare cruisequeen4ever Posted April 14, 2020 #50 Share Posted April 14, 2020 We did the Caribbean Connoisseur on the Pacific over Christmas. That cruise is helping me get through this cruise drought as I can quickly recall the steel drum music, the calm Caribbean night air, the sound of the sea, and the loads of memories made. ❤️
