Good morning and thank you for today’s daily Rich.  Not sure what Greenery Day is but it is definitely getting greener here. I once inherited a climbing Peace Rose in my community garden plot that practically needed dynamite to remove because it had taken over. That’s a great quote by Thomas Edison, I wonder what he would have thought of LED light bulbs. Dinner sounds very nice.

Thank you for the first(or is it second) Daily of your third year, Rich.  Lots of Greenery fans here.  I love dancing in the main show lounge.  Not sure what Peace Rose is about but certainly sounds like a good idea.  Edison was a real genius.  I've only been to Ashdod on Crystal back in 2010.  I'll pass on the Nachos.  My alternative is Orange and Avacado Salad, New York Strip Steak, and Cherry Crisp as served on the ship coming to Port Everglades April 29, 2019.

Good morning.  Happy Thursday.  Thanks for the Daily Report.

Another cool, wet day for us.

It is getting greener around here, I love it.  Peace roses are beautiful.  I'll dance when no one is watching.🙂

Edison was quite a guy.

Dinner sounds interesting,  looking forward to seeing the recipe.

Sending prayers for all on the Care List.  Cheers to all who celebrate.

Stay safe.

Thanks for the Daily, Rich and our morning smile 🙂

I’ll happily celebrate Greenery day as I work away outside today.  I was shocked to find it was originally to celebrate the birthday of the Emperor of Japan when he would plant a tree and seeds.  Now, it is a celebration of nature.

The Peace Rose is so beautiful.  If I can find a way to keep the deer away from mine this year, I hope to enjoy it’s blooms.

Love the quote by Edison.  I’ll pass on the meal for today.  We’ll be busy all day outside so it will be whatever I have the energy for later 😉 but there will be a well deserved glass (or two) of wine.

We were in Jerusalem and Ashdod many years ago.  So grateful we got there when we did.  Ashdod is amazing.  Sadly my pictures are the old type that I can’t share.

Wondering if that Pol Clemente is the same one we had on the BHB?

Spring has finally arrived here.  My first sign of spring:

Prayers for everyone on Roy’s Care list & for those that need them and of course, 🥂 to those on the Celebratory / Shout Out list.

Have a great Thursday everyone!!!!

Good morning, everyone.

No water classes for me this morning.  There will be workmen in the locker rooms all day today and it is too chilly today to come home in a wet suit.  So, I'm taking the day off.  I can clean bathrooms and sweep floors here at home for exercise.

I took a class in International Dance in college.  It confirmed I had two left feet.  Mostly, we did square dance.  Kind of fun, though, and good exercise.  I wish I was a better dancer.  I also used to have a pretty good rose garden.  Trees grew up in the neighborhood and what was once a sunny flower bed became deep shade.   Work got in the way of things and the roses followed.

Today's meal sounds good.   I'd probably try it.   I have made pizza with a cauliflower crust.  I served it to my niece and nephew once when I was staying with them while their parents were in Switzerland.  Both gave it a thumbs up.

I did find any nutritional information for this meal.

Good  morning  to  all. Thank  you  Rich  and  Roy  for  our  days, lists and  quotes. The  recipes  and  drinks  are  appreciated  as  well.

@dfish, I  had  the  same  experience  at  college. I  tried  a   Modern Dance  class  and  the  instructor  took  me  aside  after  two  classes  to  let  me  know I  could  switch  to  another  elective! I  took  Archery and  was  pretty  awful  but  at  least I  kept  up.

I  have  made  this  recipe  often  and  it  is  a  hit  at gatherings. It  also  looks  so  pretty.

Greenery  is  out  in  full  force  here and  looks  great. The  Peace  Rose  sounds  like  a  nice  idea.

Off  to  the  Zoo with  the  family. Have  a  wonderful  day  everyone.       Terry

That's making me laugh and brings back a great memory.  After I retired from teaching I subbed a bit to help pay for health insurance.  One day I was subbing in Phys Ed.   The kids were doing archery.  I said it looked like fun and could I try it.  So, they let me in and stood there expectantly.  The first arrow landed at my feet.  The second one got about halfway to the target.  The third just a bit further.   This kind of rough looking kid steps up and says, "Excuse my language, ma'am, but you have to put some b***s behind that arrow."   I laughed so hard, explained I didn't have any and what should I do now.

Good morning.  Thank you Rich and Roy.  Great group of days.  I've had a Peace Rose for many years.  We love to dance on a BHB.  Edison was so right.  The meal is interesting but we are not huge fans of Cauliflower.  Have not been to the port, can't wait to see the photo's.  Looking forward to seeing the Nieuw Statendam in Fort Lauderdale.  Some good news this morning that cruises may begin again in Florida come July.

Prayers and toasts for our lists.

Stay safe, social distance, and please get your jabs and continue to wear your mask.

Thank you for today’s Daily, Rich! I salute all three days. Always have loved to dance. My toes often start tapping before my brain registers there is music playing.

Thank you for keeping our lists, Roy! Morning Dailyites & my Sisters! Great quote. Pass on the drink. Might investigate the meal a bit more. The folks that live on the West end of my street are gathering tomorrow for a farewell send off to a couple moving away. Several folk have to be very careful with gluten and carbs, and that recipe might be a good one to try.

Prayers for all who need our support. Cheers to all who are celebrating, Stay well everyone!

**********

This wine is actually from the Loire Valley in France. Though I could not find any reviews or ratings from experts, it sounds like a wine I would like to try. And since I found it online for as low as $9.95, it would not hurt my budget to try it.
Winemaker Notes

A pale yellow robe with bright glints. Delicate aromas of fruit and white flowers, with nuances of toasted bread and dried fruit. An elegant and fresh wine with a good support of acidity. A fine bouquet with hints of apple and citrus fruit carry through to the palate and there is balanced but mouth-tingling acidity which enhances the lingering finish.
This is a fun sparkling wine blend of Ugni Blanc, Chardonnay and Airen (an ancient Spanish varietal). It is fruity, but not sweet and clean with nice finishing acidity and is a great deal for less than $10 a bottle! It hails from the Loire Valley in France and is produced by the company whose founding father discovered over 100 years ago, a new, less expensive way to produce sparkling wine. French engineer, Eugene Charmat, developed a way for wine to go through its secondary fermention in large stainless steel tanks, versus in its own bottle as is done with the Champagne method. Today, sparkling wines all over the world, most notably in Italy with Prosecco, are made using the Charmat method.

Good morning and happy Greenery Day, International Dance Day and National Peace Rose Day.  A good quote from Edison who I am thankful to for the electric light bulb.  Good question @Mr. Bostonabout what Edison would think about the LED bulb.  Things have changed so dramatically even in the last century.  Another interesting sheet pan recipe today but I can't deal with jalapenos unfortunately so they would have to be left off my half.  DH loves them!

I went to Ashdod in 2014 on our Holy Land cruise on the Prinsendam.  It was our first voyage on Holland America and it was Black Sea and Holy Land B2B.  We were originally booked on the Ocean Princess to go to the Black Sea and the Holy Land but due to political unrest that year Princess cancelled Egypt ports and most of the Black Sea ports and just substituted Greek Isles ports instead.  So we cancelled them and took a chance on the Prinsendam, and loved it!

I'm sure I took many hundreds of photos that day since we took a tour of Jerusalem.  Let me go take a look and pick some to show you.  That's the hard part - whittling them down to less than a dozen!  I'll be back!

Good Morning Everyone from a bright and warm day at the beach.

The meal suggestion looks interesting.  Never been to Israel or that part of the world. Looking forward to the pictures. Where would we all be without Edison ?

I love to dance but I am not very good at it. Doesnt matter, I enjoy it.

Encouraging news from the CDC. We will see???

Today is Thursday, so off to Golf with 2 of my friends.

Stay safe everyone and enjoy today!

In Ashdod on October 26, 2014 we immediately left the port for our drive to Jerusalem.  I only have a few photos around the ship of the tugs, etc.  This is about all you can expect from there.  Maybe someone else has spent more time there and can give you an overview of the town.enhance

Arriving at an overlook of the city of Jerusalem we stopped to listen to our guide and take in the view.

enhance

enhance

According to my notes we next stopped at the Church of All Nations, also known as the Basilica of the Agony.  It's a Roman Catholic church located on the Mount of Olives next to the Garden of Gethsemane.  enhance

The church has beautiful murals on its facade.  enhance

The olive trees in the Garden of Gethsemane are many hundreds of years old.enhance

enhance

Seen off to the side and on the hillside slightly above the Basilica of the Agony, is the Church of St. Mary Magdalene.  This is one of Jerusalem's most picturesque sights due to its seven gilded onion domes, each topped by a tall Russian Orthodox cross.enhance

Interior of the Basilica including the high altar overlooking a large slab of rock, which is said to be the very rock on which Jesus prayed in agony on the night of his betrayal.enhance

I borrowed this photo of the rock because mine was blurry.enhance

We got on the bus to move on to view the Catholic Cemetery, but I got this photo of the Basilica and the Church of St. Mary Magdalene from the road next to the cemetery.  Gives you a good perspective.enhance

The Catholic Cemeteryenhance

And here is the Tower of David, Jerusalem's citadel, located near the Jaffa Gate on the western side of the old city wall.enhance

I think I will post this here and continue with our tour of Jerusalem in a second post.  They get so long otherwise.

Good morning from wet and rainy Georgetown. Wow did it storm last night. We had quite a lightning and thunder show, almost like fireworks. Goodness.

Thank you Rich for our Daily. Roy you're in my prayers. Hi sweet sisters and fellow Daily-ites.

@StLouisCruisers thank you for all your pictures. Is there anywhere you haven't visited? Lol..

Today our friends arrive. The weather shows rain all day for the next 4 days. 😢

We used to love to dance, still do at home sometimes listening to our old favorites. I used to dance on our BHB:

Today is market, a little spiff of the house and prepare for guests.

Sending prayers and cheers, blessings and peace.

Good evening all. DH and I often dance in the kitchen! Or at least I dance and he moves his two left feet when I nudge his toes! He was a great rock and roller in his youth though. I learnt ballet at school but now attend two dance classes a week, one is clogging, and the other tap. Our ages range from 65 to 82, and apart from keeping fit, we enjoy the socialising.
we used to love watching the dancing in the Ocean Bar and in the Crow’s Nest. Maybe soon! Take care.
