RCCL used to give out lists of pax when we started cruising 1991 and the early 90's, to tell the truth we never payed much attention to them.

None of the lines we sailed in late 80's and 90's did it.

We think they should bring back a list of all passengers in the ship to all ..

Like they did in the past Put it in the cruise compass for all to see. W e could have a relative in the ship.

If someone dont want it say no to be  in list say no..We could have a cousin a niece  ..

It will be nice to know that someone we know is the cruise.

Best regards,

Manny & Lydia LI NY

I mean if the CDC were to drop all covid protocol requirements in exchange for having a public list of people's names I'd think they'd be way more successful in curtailing demand.

Nope, don't need a list of passenger's names. Mrs Neverbeenhere and I would be very easy to locate. But, Why not include AGI for every statement also?

BTW: The only time our cousins have cruised is when we've paid for them to go.

Snark aside, perhaps in simpler times, this was of no consequence and people paid no attention to having their names in a list. But in today's world privacy is much more valuable than it once was. People also finds "incognito" traveling liberating, in a sense. People want to enjoy freely w/o worrying some friend or family or business associate could be looking for them in a cruise. Other people take on more adventurous endeavors and have no need or interest on anyone else knowing their full name or cabin #.

Maybe it was only Royal Caribbean because we have a passenger list from our Song of Norway cruise in 1991.

I was the victim of internet identity theft. The FBI agent handling my case said to never go on Facebook or any similiar site and never put a photo on line.He also said to never post my last name or where I live.

We didn't start with Royal until 2002

Prior lines were Carnival, Holland, Princess, NCL, and the defunct Majesty

No thanks! Never ever seen that on any of our RC cruises. What cruise line did/does that?

It was common years ago. Our first cruise was on Carnival  in 1988 and there was a passenger list. I recall it was passenger  name and home city.

We were on Freedom of the Seas on the pre-Covid cruise in March 2020. I was talking with my cousin a few months later and found out that she and her husband were on the same cruise. We never saw each other. I wish I had known they were on the ship with us.

I'd kind of like it. We were on a cruise a few years ago with friends from church. We found out as we were clearing out to disembark that their room was right down the hall from us. Hadn't seen them all week.

No thanks! If you had a family member on the ship that you were close with, wouldn't you know already they were sailing on the same ship as you?
