There already is a Melody - MSC cruise ship.  Used to be Home Lines Atlantic.  First cruise in 1986.

If I were a Pinnacle in a Pinnacle naming contest - I would name it Pinnacle of the Seas!  DUH.....

I was on the Symphony for its first TA from Barcelona to Miami in 2018 and was told by a concierge that the next Oasis class ship was going to be called Melody. I was surprised to hear it was being called Wonder.

I'm not a fan of the cruise lines using the same name as the ships of other cruise lines (Wonder).

Probably had something to do with OA 5  initially destined for Asia.
