Yes, there is no strictly enforced dress code, merely recommendations. MDR dress has gotten more and more relaxed over the years. You'll see plenty of pants and polos even on formal night. Shorts are not a big deal. 7

I agree.....it's like it will never end and don't forget, the topic of buying little goody bags for the staff like they are kids. Diver2014 Posted June 23, 2022 #7 Share Posted June 23, 2022 Even on 'formal' night a couple of weeks ago, there were quite a few shorts (and not even 'nice' shorts in some instances) amongst all the folks in their suits and gowns. To each his own but there were some up turned noses at the guys (and gals) wearing shorts. It was a sight to behold. Best entertainment around. 3

Here is what happens, one starts early and uses all their drinks on there SeaPass and starts on another person's Seapass. Once dining rolls around they forget they still have their shorts on and it's formal night! Off to the MDR they go. They have a great meal so they pull out a pile of $2 bills for an extra large tip, so large they lay some on the table next to them too. As they are leaving they ask the staff if there is anything they can gift 🎁 them the next night. At this point they are worn out and head to the casino for a cigar! Edited June 23, 2022 by Ozark_Kid As they head to bed they discover their passport is about to expire. 😆 1

Except before heading to the casino, I would lay out few towels to reserve several poolside loungers for the next day for when I roll out of bed at 1 pm. Which reminds me to get extra towels to hold a few empty "buffer" chairs to use as tables and to make sure there aren't people sitting too close to me.

Your hubby can wear sport shorts and a t-shirt if he so desires. Save the nice shorts and polo shirt for formal nights.
HicksRA Posted June 23, 2022 #20 Share Posted June 23, 2022 The first thing I do when entering the MDR each night is look under each table to see if anyone is wearing shorts.

Don't need to spend HOURS. 15 minutes a day, 3-4 days a week, for a month or so gives you the answer to most of these repeat questions.
kelbell Posted June 23, 2022 #23 Share Posted June 23, 2022 Plain and simply: it's your vacation enjoy and don't sweat the little things like if shorts will offend someone. If your comfortable and your DH is comfortable enjoy your dinner, breakfast or lunch which ever you choose to eat in the MDR. Remember you paid for this vacation.

Yes, that's perfect. That's what I wear also. PK (pre-kids) I wore a suit, but luggage space and time to get ready for dinner prevent me from suiting up. I feel perfectly comfortable in the MDR wearing a nice short and a polo or relaxed button down shirt.
