Good morning,

My surgery went well. I am in minimal pain and exercising my finger as prescribed. No driving until later today so a friend is bringing me breakfast. My tummy was not quite right yesterday after my night of misery but after 2 liters of fluid during surgery I feel pretty good today. Thanks for all the well wishes.

So glad to hear that your surgery went well 👍. I hope you can recover quickly and easily.  Take care of yourself, please.

Yesterday's dental check ups went great. I was able to get in same time as DH due to a cancelation.

Glad to hear that the check ups went well despite the price 👍

That's a good thing because I have a lot to do today to get ready for Thursday.  Today I go shopping for the fresh produce needed for Thursday and tomorrow I'll make the stuffing and pies.

MRI done. Always an intense experience. Don’t move for 15 minutes with all that thunderous racket.

Excellent news!  (On your MRI not the heavy rain).

Congratulations Terri!!!  enjoy that cruise and the winnings 🙂

Good morning and thanks all!   Appreciate the photos, Sandi, Lenda and  Tony, probably the only way we’ll see Israel after so many cancellations.

@smitty34877 glad you’re able to help the pup, our first DGD had surgery for the same thing!

It looks like Parkirak has been "taken care of".  Happy someone reported the scammer.

Wow, so sorry this happened to @Niagarawine  and glad it was caught. I guess it seems we are a Safe place, but I always wonder about those one shot wonders.

@Quartzsite Cruiser please take good care!  Yikes!
@cruising sisterglad the surgery went well.

I had the RSV shot yesterday and a little under the weather today.

Good (late) morning all!

I had a lab appointment this morning so am running late today.  This was for my kidney function, we'll see if it has improved any since the last test 7 months ago.  I feel like I've been as good as I can be, so we'll see...

I've never been a fan of the flavor of ginger, so have never cared for gingerbread or gingerbread cookies.  I do like the smell of it though. 😂  What would we do without our televisions.  Ours isn't on much of the time, but we do have a couple favorite shows.  Don't want to jinx myself, but we haven't lost any socks in the laundry in quite awhile so no odd socks here.

I'll pass on the drink and red wine, but would like the chicken without the squash.  We had 4 full days in Israel in 2011 when our 2 days in Egypt were canceled.  So I have lots of photos from Ashdod, but they would be too much like what has already been posted so I won't hunt them up.  We also floated in the Dead Sea, what a hoot!  I didn't get salt water in my eyes, but did get it in my mouth.  🤢

This afternoon we'll make a run to Total Wine and then stop by to see DD's cats.  The family is up in Whistler for their yearly Thanksgiving with DSIL's family so we have cuddle duty with their cats.

I see that "Parkirak" is still showing posts on yesterday's thread -- did he post here today also?

Good afternoon. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily.

I like gingerbread cookies, although I have only had them once or twice. TV is usually on here, often for background noise. I like odd socks day (thanks to @0106 for the explanation). Good quote. The meal seems interesting. Pass on the drink and yes to the wine. I haven't been to Ashdod, and the way things are going, might never get there.

I'm just home from PT. I don't know if it's worth it, as I mainly do stretching and heat, due to the pain. It's been raining here since about midnight, at times quite hard. The news keeps warning about hydroplaning. Another bad night; I've been up since 2AM. It seems once the pain wakes me, even my one position that's sort of comfortable, no longer is. So I'll try for a nap later, maybe. My local tv station news is hyping a new procedure for back pain, that they'll talk about at 5:30. The doctor I saw seems to be from the same Neurosurgery group that the doctor I'll be seeing is in. I'm not sure it'll apply to me, but I'll try to watch.

@StLouisCruisers I'm glad DS got a flight before the craziness of holiday flights starts. I appreciate your Ashdod photos, and also posting Lenda's.

@aliaschief I hope you get your MRI results quickly. Good that you have the Ortho appointment on Monday.

@smitty34877 I'm glad the puppy was able to come home. Aww on that photo.

@kazu Oh no on the appliance gremlin; there's never a good time for this stuff to happen.

@Nickelpenny Safe travels tomorrow to the port.

@Quartzsite Cruiser I'm glad you didn't severely injure yourself.

@ger_77 Wow on that poor woman being blown over. We're supposed to have high winds, but I haven't seen much. There was worry of trees going over with the wet ground, causing power outages.

@cruising sister I'm glad your surgery went well and that your stomach is feeling better.

@kochleffel Yikes on that wait for a dermatology appointment!

@Niagarawine That's awful. Did you report those posts to a moderator?

@Vict0riann Sorry to hear you've had to go on a liquid diet; and I hope there's treatment for your hip that helps. Wow on that sky. Interesting Deas Sea photo.

@Cruzin Terri Thanks for checking in. Wow on that Uber driver just dumping you. Sorry to hear that  embarkation was long, missing Great Stirrup Cay and the medical emergencies. I'm glad the food is good. Way to go on the Casino win; Congrats!

@sailingdutchy Great photos.

@Cruising-along I hope the lab work shows improvement or at least stability.

Prayers for the Care List and a Toast to those Celebrating.

We are in the home stretch with 14 miles to Quartzsite.  Our place is out of town in a nice development.  I've caught with the Daily, but will save my comments until tonight when I'm not on my phone.  I'll be busy once we got to our place.

I appreciate all the concern and well wishes about my head.  I am feeling fine, and my forehead only hurts a little when I touch it.  Once I got it cleaned this morning, it didn't look too bad.  The cut had closed, but I still put a smaller bandaid on it just in case.  When I went in to pay for the gas, the bandaid probably prevent quite a few stares and questions.

It was quite a warm day and we had already done a lot of walking so after a drive towards the Dead Sea  we stopped for a snack and drink before we took a “ dive “ into the sea .

It is not easy walking into the sea because of all the very uneven seafloor you can't see under the water  but once in it was wonderful what an experience .!
I have to admit , I am not a swimmer , but I was so happy to float on my back for minutes without doing anything  . DW got some very , very salty water in her eyes ( yes she was warned …....) so she went quick to the showers .

Good afternoon!

It is a rainy day here in mid-Michigan.  It is supposed to clear up later and tomorrow and Thursday are supposed to be nice.  I think I have everything I need for Thanksgiving dinner.  I have munchies for during the game, all the turkey trimmings, and stuff to make pies.  DB Bill is bringing the goodie tray fixings - pickles, olives, etc and DB Jeff is bringing broccoli.  DS Mary Jo is bringing cranberry sauce and a pumpkin pie.  I'm making pecan chocolate chip pie and an apple cranberry dump cake.  I did pick up some ice cream to go with the desserts.  We have regular potatoes and sweet potatoes.  I picked up the celery and onions for the stuffing today along with a bunch of other stuff I didn't know I needed until I saw it.  That always happens when I go to C.

I have about an hour of peace and quiet left before Sue and River arrive.  It is non-stop chatter once River gets here.  She likes to watch videos on Sue's Kindle and I did find her some ear buds so we don't have to hear it, too.  We will need to check the volume regularly to make sure it isn't too loud.

@kazu I am so sorry the appliance gremlin has paid you a visit.  Just don't give him directions to my house.  While I replaced all my appliances in a year's time, they all stayed in Ohio.  I miss some of them.

@JazzyV I hope you could get a nap in.  Any port in a storm.

@Cruzin Terri Wow!   I'd take a cot in the engine room if I could win $1200!

@Quartzsite Cruiser I'm glad you had a safe trip.  Enjoy settling in and I hope you find everything in good repair.

@Cruising-along Fingers crossed for good results on your lab work.  I bet you'll get your results back before I get mine from the CT.

The port pictures are great!  Maybe someday.

I was preparing to post early this morning, but hot sidetracked by work, here I am now at the airport waiting for my flight...how does the day go so quickly?

Temp this morning was 54° headed to 75°; don't know what it is now.

Full work day and still at it, but from my phone as I'm at the airport waiting for my flight.

Will surely test the internet during our cruise as I will be working a lot on the TA portion.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone (saying that now in case I miss the next few days) and safe travels to those hitting the roads and/or skies and/or seas.

Prayers and positive thoughts for all.

@dfish  I think I'm playing the same waiting game with CT discs....had a CTA in early May when I was in the ER for extreme shortness of breath....no real diagnosis but there were nodules noted on my diaphragm & my pulmonologist wanted a follow up scan --- had that done at Kaiser a couple of weeks ago but they only sent a report, not a copy of the disc.  Got a call today from the pulm, office asking me to request the disc from one of the places but I'm so confused --- I'm putting the ball back in the dr's court....it shouldn't be up to me to get them the report I don't think.

Unfortunately it works better if you get the disc. They can get a copy of the report but much more difficult to get a disc from an outside source. It is not difficult and they can sometimes burn the disc while you wait. Just call the place where you had the scan and it will be no problem. My DD DH husband had to get discs all the time.

True -- finally figured out the glitch -- my dr. wasn't the one who ordered the CT when I was in the ER so she needs to communicate with him or the hospital to get it....I have gotten other discs in the past without all this hassle.

I had to request discs of scans from an out of state facility for the people up here to use.  Both use MyChart, but the films don't transfer over, just the reports.

If you ever need to buy Superglue in Spain, it's called Superglue there. I know this from breaking the frames of my outdoor glasses in a hill village on Mallorca in 2018, during a western Mediterranean cruise.

Tonight I broke the frames of my current outdoor glasses, although not in exactly the same way, and I've just superglued them back together. In this case, it was a glued or soldered joint that broke. I didn't even consider taking them for repair, because it would mean replacing the frames, and I have an appointment for an exam next month anyway. If the repair holds, they'll be good enough for watching television, which is most of what I wear them for at this time of year.

So funny you say this!  DGD does the same thing. She’s always asking to use my earbuds but has broken several by twisting them. On one of our ship excursions we used disposable single earbuds and I kept them and now I have her use them instead. We try to monitor the sound too. A great Christmas movie for her to watch is The Christmas Chronicles. It’s on Netflix. One of our annual traditions.

She was really excited about the ear buds until I told her she had to use them.  Then they didn't fit her ears (they did), the sound was too loud (we can turn it down), they don't work with Grandma's Kindle (they do).  She is a master of excuses.

We tried to watch Elf and she did watch for about a half hour and then lost interest.  I'll take a look at The Christmas Chronicles.   I do wonder a bit about attention span.

Good evening. Dressing is made and par cooked. I was supposed to do something with all my cookbooks so they weren’t in the way but that hasn’t happened, just too tired. Hopefully tomorrow along with dusting and setting the table.

Sweet dreams and good sleep to all.

Good e ening.  I know this is late for those on the east coast or even furtger east, but it's the first chance I've had to get back to the Daily.  We got to our house just before 2 pm, and I was busy until just before sunset.  We got some of the essentials off the motohome, plus just enough food for supper.  Thank goodness for leftovers that can be frozen and reheated.  Of course, a little wine helps.

After missing last winter, there is a lot of clean up needed.  I gug out the blower and got the worst of the dirt off the porches.  It got the loose dirt off, but I need to wash the porches and the house.  At least, by blowing the loose dirt off, we weren't tracking as much dirt in the house.

@ger_77  Gerry, the worst of the winds on the way here hit in the middke of no where in far wat Texas.  In 2017, we spent extra days in Bismarck, ND, and Moose Jaw, Saak., due to hi

@dfish  Debbie, I'm glad you slept well last night.

@cruising sister  Lorraine, that is good news yout sutgery went well, and that you feel better.

@Sharon in AZ Sharron, and n@Nickelpenny Penny, we had a pretty easy time going thr9ugh Tucson.  We left Benson just after 8 this morning, and were behind most of the rush hour traffic.  Even the construction was not too bad.

@Vict0riann  Ann, I'm sorry your issues that put you on a liquid diet. I hope you are feeling better.

@Cruzin Terri  Terri, congratulations on the slot win.  Yikes on the Uber driver.  I would report him when you get home.
