If you include all of the Caribbean there are 50 cruises from January thru May. The Zuiderdam has quite a few from Miami; others are from Fort Lauderdale.

I saw there were 50 from January to May but then filtered out all but Southern Caribbean for Annie since that is what she asked about.  Maybe they will even add some more as time goes by but from what I read here they just opened them up for booking.  I noticed the Miami ones were Zuiderdam like you said.

Hello Again,  I heard back from guest services.  The spices have not been delivered to the ship.

That's unfortunate  - looks to be a nice collection. Hopefully they'll arrive before you disembark.

Good sunny morning rom Quartzsite.  It is currently 49F up from the 44F when I got up.  We are looking at a high of 71F but with winds of 13mph.  This week we'll see highs in the 80s until Saturday when we return to a high of 69F.  Not much on the agenda except trying to get more loaded on the motorhome.  I would like to have all but last minute stuff loaded by Friday since we could get rain Saturday and Sunday.  Speaking of rain, we had rain both last night and Saturday night, but not too much.

I'll honor Greek Independence Day and Holi, but not bed-in for peace, but we surely could use a lot more peace in this world.

I basically agree with the Scot Hamilton quote.  A bad attitude will make any disability worse.  Knowing his history with his mother's death due to cancer and his bout with testicular caner, plus the third reoccurrence of a brain tumor, I can understand the quote.  This  is a link to an article in The Tennessean that might be interesting.  https://www.tennessean.com/story/news/local/2024/02/23/scott-hamilton-40th-anniversary-olympic-gold-life-battle-third-brain-tumor-cancer/72701943007/

We'll pass on the meal and the drink.  The wine might be good for a special occasion.

We have been to Cobh at least three times, and I'll retrieve my pictures in a few minutes.

Two interesting days in history, and I'm sure our golfers will celebrate the first Master's tournament.

@kazu  Jacqui, I'm glad you got the shore excursion changes taken care of.  Good luck with the PT today, and I hope your therapist can work some new exercises into your session

@aliaschief  Bruce, I hope you feel better and can go on the excursion to Danang.

@Denise T  Denise, good news the last two chapters of your dissertation care coming together nicely.

@smitty34877  Terry, I know it's difficult for Tana, but I'm proud of her for making the effort with the help of the teenager to walk to the kitchen.  She is a true fighter and an example of having a good attitude to fight for the best possible life she can.  Hugs to both of you and the teenager.

@cat shepard  Ann, please wish your sister A VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY  🎂 for us.  We're glad she can celebrate it at home with family.

@StLouisCruisers  Sandi, I'm glad your DD made it safely to your house yesterday.  Safe travels to her today.

@dfish  Debbie, I hope today is a better day for all, and that River is feeling better.  Also, I hope you and Sue stay well.  BTW, parenting is not always easy even with kids who do have a lot of emotional baggage.  You and Sue, plus her other grandmother, are the best things in River's life right now.  Hugs to both of you.

@rafinmd  Roy, that is good news that the IRS accepted your tax return.

@Seasick Sailor  Joy, wishing the best for Allen's doctor's appointment today, and that the rains let up while you are away from home.  Be careful on the road.

@RMLincoln  Maureen, I hope your DH's eye pressure settles down and at a good number.  Glad you enjoyed your afternoon and night out yesterday.

@Crazy For Cats  Jake, you'd think they would make sure the spices are on all the ships before sending out the announcement.

A few years ago (pre-covid, so technically probably more than a few) Target discontinued my favorite ice cream. It was their private label and I couldn't find anything similar enough to takes it's place. It was Triple Chocolate  - chocolate ice cream w/chunks (not chips) of dark chocolate and "ribbons" of white chocolate; it was heaven in a bowl. DH said it was too fancy for his liking, so I got the container to myself. Bonus was the price - being store brand, it did not have the higher price of premium or brand name ice cream. I love a good bargain and a bargain priced decadent ice cream is a home run!!

I've tried different ice creams from different stores and have not found a replacement; had some really good ice cream, but haven't discovered "the one." That may have changed.

Last week I ordered a box of Magnum double dipped chocolate carmel bars and rec'd Biscoff double dipped bars. Oh my!! DH won't try them (don't understand his aversion to "fancy" ice cream) so I guess I really did finish the box myself (is 6 bars in 5 days too many if they're mini bars, not full size?).🙄 Completely different than the Target ice cream, but I ordered more today.

If you like cinnamon, velvety chocolate and rich ice cream, give it a try. I got the mini bars (6 to a box) and think they're just the right size; I think the larger full size bars would be too rich for 1 sitting. It's like a hug-fest party in a box ❤️🤗

I am ready for lunch so I can have dessert.

We have been to Cobh at least three times.  The first was in 2003 on Rotterdam VI.  We did a tour to Blarney Castle, where DH kissed the Blarney Stone, but I decided to skip the kiss.  I have enough Blarney without inviting more.  😉   Once back in Cobh, we took the local bus to Kinsale and then walked around Cork on the way back.  The next year, we were there on Noordam III and surprise, rented a car.  We drove to Kinsale and then to a golf course two business associates had played.  Our last visit was in 2016 on Prinsendam.  That day we rented a car and drove to Waterford and toured their glass making demonstration.  Then we drove to the Jameson's Distillery, where we toured the old distillery and the new modern one.

I tried to put the address into the GPS and found the item that was skipped before.😉  Everything is fine now!

Are you willing to divulge what ship you will be sailing?  Port Canaveral has 2 different areas and the approach is a bit different.

Beautiful sunshine here today but still quite chilly. A good Holi Day to those who celebrate it.

Thanks for the Fleet Report and maps everyday!  I enjoy seeing where all the ships are, so many good memories of being in these most of these ports. And tracking friends cruising now, always fun to follow!

Thank you Vanessa for the Care, Celebration and Cruising lists. I don’t know how you cope with such pain. I’m sorry you have to wait so long for your surgery.
DH’s eye pressures are up and down. He’ll go to eye doctor Thursday. I hope he’s not going to open the last suture yet but they know more than I do. One day recently that eye pressure was at the bottom of our instrument’s measurable range, sure don’t want it lower!  Other eye has been running high some days, waiting for surgery April 23. Trying not to let it make me crazy, grateful we’ve made it this far with such expert care!

Happy birthday to @cat shepard’s DS at home! Yay!  And Yay for Tana walking!

Scott Hamilton had a lot to overcome in his life as an orphan, childhood disease, cancer…. to become a gold medal winner!  So that is his personal perspective, and I think he stands as encouragement to all who are dealing with adversity.

DH and I enjoyed our outing yesterday to local community theater and the Pompton Queen Diner, recommended by one of our Dailyites!  It felt good to get out in our new environment for some fun!  Today it’s back to administrivia. Glad we can!

Blessings for all in need of healing, comfort or hope. Thinking of Sarah, Pauline and Graham as you continue to deal with loss and abuse.
And for River, Debbie and Sue… the paradoxical saying comes to mind that No good deed goes unpunished. Hoping you all can have a better day today.
Blessings for peace in the world, in my country and yours.

Hoping Bruce is improved enough to go on the excursion he was so looking forward to.

Smooth travels to all away, all our cruisers. Thinking of Sandi’s DD, her drive to Morgan’s, and my DGD and her DH flying back today from Idaho via Seattle! 🤦🏼‍♀️. The weather looks pretty good across the country🤞

Hoping everyone can enjoy something today!  Maureen 💐

Thank you Maureen.

It was Sarah's dad's funeral today but we were not invited.

Her mam returned our condolences card  straight away and she wrote nasty words  in it and she never put Sarah's name on the obituary so Pauline and Sarah went to work today and I watched the hearse and car leave our small close at 09.35am.

Thank you Lenda.

Pauline was a little upset going to work this morning.

I have had several WhatsApp texts with our Sarah who said she is okay but I know their parents actions have affected her.

Pauline and Sarah do the same Civil service jobs in different offices and they face time message each other regularly every day.

A good friend is taking her out for a meal tonight and we will take her out soon for a meal.

Sarah is getting a train 200 miles to a good friend's for Easter weekend so we have paid for First Class return train tickets for her.

Last spring we visited Cork.  We took the shuttle bus from Ringaskiddy to the city centre.  After we got off the bus, we were looking at a map trying to decide what to do.  A gentleman approached us and offered help.  We wanted to visit the English Market so he volunteered to take us there.  He walked us to the market, telling us stories and pointing out places as we walked.  When we got to the market, he wished us well and said he had a business meeting.  I'm sorry to say I don't remember his name, but he was a true gentleman.  We had a lovely visit to Cork and would like to return.

We stayed there - enjoying the ambience, lovely sights, woolen stores and the Titanic museum.

If you are there, the Titanic museum is really worth visiting.

It’s one the site of where Titanic’s old terminal - the last port Titanic visited before crossing the ocean.  This is the pier - The Titanic could technically dock but the Captain was in a hurry to cross the ocean and make a new record so the psssengers were tendered to the ship.
