Do You Wear Your Loyalty (Recognition) Pin on Every Princess Cruise?

I reached platinum before Ruby existed so no Ruby pin. I have no idea where the gold and platinum are. I may have tossed them.

 I never even thought about wearing the pins and I've never noticed anyone wearing one either. However, OP, I think if you want to wear it you should go for it and do so proudly!!! Enjoy your Ruby level cruise!

I never received mine. I had qualified for Elite when they announced Elite level and never received them. Not sure if they were mailed or what.

I have to say that I was so excited to finally get to the Elite level that I wear that little sucker everywhere.  😄

We probably got a pin or two, but tossed it into the waste basket along with the flyers for spa treatments, exclusive overpriced jewelry promos,  and fake gold by the inch, etc. I know how many cruises we have taken and really don't care how many others have been on. IMO, it's more important that Princess knows where we fall in the hierarchy so we get the obligatory perks.

I have to chime in and say I do wear my elite pin on my fedora along with cruise port pins I buy. The last thing I want to do is brag about it, but Princess gave it to me, so I put it on my hat.

Never have worn the status pins  that I have from various cruise lines and am amused by those who seem to have to announce their status.

 

Not so amusing is that many of them seem to feel that they are "special" and deserve priority treatment before others .

 

How many times have you been at guest services or even reading posts on Cruise Critic where the leading statement is the status level on the cruise line?

Nope. Never. Have made it to Elite and have never considered wearing any pin. Surprised they still hand them out...

Don't wear it on Princess, Carnival, or HAL.  They go in the drawer.

I believe you have to go to the Captains Circle desk and ask for one.  As I like to collect Princess memorabilia I'm glad to add it to the collection, but I do not wear it.

A lot depends on the Host on board, we got our pins with a nice note at the end of qualifying cruises.

We don't wear ours, but I take them home, cut off the pin on the back and use them as golf ball markers. And no worries if I lose it!

I dont wear the pin all the time.  I have a couple of ties that I use the pin as more of a tie clip type device.  Otherwise, I don't wear it.

We don't wear any of them. The RCCL Pinnacle's pin is worn by many, but certainly not all. When we start getting OBC for wearing the pins, buttons, badges, sashes then we will dawn them.

There is no financial reward or benefit to wearing the pin....so why wear it?

I have been to several Captain's parties...cannot remember ever seeing anyone wearing a pin.

Now, things would change quickly if there was a nice OBC connected with wearing one, or free beer.

Come to think of it, the Ocean Medallion comes with a free drink...including beer.  Now >that< I am happy to have on my person.

I sometimes wear my elite pin to a specialty restaurant.   I am proud to have it, as I did not receive  it automatically.  I had to go to the Captains Circle desk and ask for it, so I am now pleased to have it.
