Job on a cruise ship

Recommended Posts

If you could have a job on a cruise ship what would it be and why ?

My choice would be a Cruise Director. I have written comedy and songs and love to entertain .I have traveled all over North America and the Caribbean.

If I'm cruising, I wouldn't want to be working!  But, if I HAD to work, I'd like to be in entertainment...dancing!

This was just a hypothetical question similar to saying if you could have any possible job what would you choose .Since this is a cruise board  I posed the question solely about a job on a cruise ship.

I was going to post chief engineer, so I could be smart like chegkp75.

Merengue dance instructors.  It is so much fun to see people "get it" in one easy lesson, and then actually hit the dance floor that night.

Chair hog prevention officer.

I'd start there, then move up to buffet hygiene enforcement and then on to dress code police.

I'm probably the odd one out, but I could work behind the Guest Services counter. Sure, one in ten have a grievance, but the rest just need their card-keys reprogrammed or have a simple question.

As some of you may have noticed, I love to solve a problem or answer a question!

I thought of another even better job. I'd like to be a professional traveler paid to be in the best cabin; think of Samantha Brown who used to do shows on the Travel Channel including going on cruises.
