Booster jab appointment today so moping around this morning waiting for a parcel that should have arrived yesterday. Hopefully they will have vaccine left when I get there and the place won't be mobbed by the sudden rush for jabs around here. Not surprising as Medway has been up to 10% behind the national average for vaccine take up. My local area is suffering a huge surge in infection as well.

 

Received my revised booking confirmation from P&O with the applied shareholder benefit so now I have £300 to splash out on my cruise, and no excursions to pay for cos I have been on them all several times. Specialist nosh and booze the order of the day 🤑🥳

Nice to see a post from Kalos, to bring a touch of humour to our day.

Another very windy day down here. Have just looked out to our garden and next door's fence is down. It's blown down into his garden so not caused any damage in ours. It was wobbling well in storm Arwen but today's wind has bought it down!

Good morning everyone and Kalos poem 😂 been awake since 5  we both had our boosters yesterday we had the moderna one and both of us not feeling to good this morning both headaches I’m hot he’s cold stabbing pains in my bones , and blocked nose , so a few lemsips coming up .

My new living room furniture arrived yesterday so that took 3 hours to rearrange where we want everything and clean all the glass shelves the builders got ther fingerprints on so today is filling the display cabinets up and making a stew for dinner , have a good day everyone and hope you get your booster Dave and anyone else 💉🦠

I'm really pleased for you that after 3 months it healed so there was virtually nothing to see.

Just to reiterate that the whole procedure was completely painless,  and I didn't need a single paracetamol following the operation.

My eldest son had his booster jab yesterday, the moderna vaccine. While he was waiting the compulsary 10 minutes, he browsed the internet and says he came across a comment from Moderna's CEO  that they were uncertain their jab would be useful against omicron, made him wonder why he had bothered!

We've never found that John, but I was referring to about 50 years ago, and the average repair jobs that Snowhill is having done. I didn't mean an extension, a new roof, a complete renovation or a new build😁

Our Morrisons delivery has just arrived and I'm pleased to see the "salt and shake" crisp 

that I get to avoid the salt are finally back in stock . Shortages I have read about are 

funfairs have a shortage of ghost trains , people are running out of them .

Also it's getting harder to buy Advent calendars their days are numbered if you ask me 

Reading the papers and  looking at the press photo's in the newspaper  I see Chin masks

are once again mandatory, suppose it keeps them warm . I hope Snow Hill gets the gates

I'm sure the gates will look fab when they are finished  I must remember to get the

Christmas cards written out and posted sometime Today. I surprised our postman last week

 by opening the door completely naked......
I’m not sure what surprised him most: my nudity, or the fact that I know where he lives.

According to Reuters he was making that comment about ALL vaccines not just Moderna. Anyway what does he know he is a marketing man and only interested in profit.

Quite often the bigger jobs are dealt with quicker, because they are more profitable, we have found it's the smaller jobs which attract less interest and tend to suffer delays and postponements.

Morning from sunny Yorkshire, a lovely crisp dry morning here but with one of those sneaky winds that blows right through you. 

 

Premium bond day for those of us who partake, nowt for me but Mrs YP got 75 quid, every little helps as they say.

Lucky Mrs YP, I dont think we have ever had more than a £25 win in over 25 years of owning premium bonds.

But it is blue skies and sunshine here as well, and just had a Sainsbugs delivery.

I read it as saying existing vaccines don't work too well but the new one we are currently manufacturing is absolutely fantastic cures all strains of covid, tennis elbow and housemaids knee. Kerr ching.

Early morning snow now melting here in south Norfolk. Been informed our vaccine hub will remain open for the forseeable future to accommadate Boris's plans [ we were due to close just before Christmas] We are a NHS staff only centre - flu and Covid boosters with an uptake of about 80% so far but will now open to the public [ Covid only] so I can carry on jabbing.

Smug looking face........ finished Christams present shopping yesterday and have mostly done wrapping !!! Well my family live all over UK and I do have to post most of them !

Applying Yorkshire pudding recipe that I enquired about some time ago with "toad in the hole" tonight.
