I can still taste the sweetness of those berries.

Heavy pain comes and goes. This afternoon it was bearable.  I'm teaching 3 patients here how to play mah jong.  Perked me up some.  Thank you for asking, Maryann.

@grapau27Your food porn looks delicious as does @dani negreanuDani's.  Pizza and pasta look superb.   Wonderful place to people watch.

Don’t they want you to keep your foot up or are you able to do this while playing? When I had foot surgery my dr wanted me to keep it above my heart level.

That green drink looks healthy!  😉

The basil and jalapeños are, but the rum and sugar kills it. 😁 It tastes so good.

No matter who had won tonight,  Avs in 5.

Not bitter, just being a realistic.  I've said since the beginning the Rangers have been playing above their heads. The fact they even made the playoffs is awesome, everything else was bonus.

What else can I say? Let's Go Yankees!! Apparently they are off to a hot start!!

Just when I thought I have seen it all. 😱  I was googling something and I came across these. Who in their right mind would wear them? If you are interested they also sell them varnished. 😆

That is really good speed.  They must of upgraded a tower near you.   At half that speed you could stream 4k movies.  If I had that speed I would get a 5G router and do away with my home cable/internet.  Check the speed at different times of the day to see if the speed holds up.

I pulled out my S8 this morning as every once in awhile I like to just keep the apps updated. I know that I had some reservations about letting it go and changing to the S22 but I don't think I could ever go back. The 22 just does everything better and faster. However, I still think spell check was better at knowing what I was trying to type on the S8 than it is on the S22 and I don't know why.

Thanks. That actually gives me a good reference to compare.

In addition to speed, performance also relies heavily on ping - yours on land should well below 50ms, the best on the ship is at least about 200ms (and over 600ms on non-O3B ships) - the lower the number for this the better.

Travel yesterday was fun. We had originally booked our flight from San Francisco to Cleveland, because we could get a non stop flight.  However, a day after booking, they eliminated the non stop and put us on a flight with a stop in Chicago.

So we get to the airport yesterday morning, and the flight says OnTime.  We are at the gate, the plane is sitting there, and everyone is waiting and waiting.  Boarding time comes and goes, and about 10 minutes later they make an announcement that the flight is delayed because the cleaning crew is not there yet.  Finally, we take off 40 minutes late.  That projected hour layover is now down to 20 minutes.  Ok, maybe we will make it, because our gates are near each other.  Then I check mid flight, and now we are coming in to a different terminal.

After landing, they ask who onboard has a short time to make a connecting flight?  Almost every hand on the plane shot up. As people got off the plane, it looked like the start of a marathon race.  Everyone was sprinting. I never saw so many people running in an airport.

Our saving grace was that our connecting flight was delayed getting in, so we made it just as it was boarding.

The good news was that all my family made it safely to their destinations.

As an added bonus, I had made an investment three weeks ago before we left, and it increased in value 11% while we were gone.

We had a somewhat similar experience while sitting in the Airport in Rome.  First of all, an announcement was made in Italian that our Gate had been changed.  Luckily, someone from our Cruise who was sitting near us told us what was announced.  Marathon #1, as everyone got up and dashed to our new Gate.  Marathon #2  began immediately;  since our first plane was delayed, our second flight arrived in Switzerland with only minutes to spare.  That was quite an experience.  BTW, we loved SwissAir!

Lucky you, Mark, having the foresight to buy gasoline before the added increase at the pumps!!

Looks wonderful Dani, love Italian food. Hope you're having fun enjoying the sights and soaking up the atmosphere.  So great you don't have to worry about testing in Italy

Covid test negative, phew, at airport now waiting to board. Flight should be on time, tracked it's inbound flight which was on time so hopefully there will be no delays 🤞

We arrive in Rome this evening and have booked into the airport Hilton with a transfer tomorrow to Civitavecchia.

Here is another reference point.  I just turned off Wifi on my phone so that I'm connected via LTE.  No 5G near my house yet.  I ran the speed test and ended with download speed of 39, upload of 1.1, and ping of 65 ms.  You are significantly faster.

Beware that 5G can drain your battery faster, although I'm not sure how much.  You may need to watch that over the next few days.  My iPhone has a setting called 5G Auto which will only enable 5G if there is a "noticeably better experience".  If not, it will stay on LTE to save battery.  You probably have a similar option.  5G is VERY fast when you are near a tower, but speeds drop off quickly with distance.  For 5G to truly deliver its promise, providers need a denser deployment of towers.  That's why it's taking longer to get 5G everywhere.

One other data point.  I turned Wifi back on and ran the speed test again.  I've got 1GB AT&T fiber in my house.  Download was 592, upload was 606, and ping was 21.  Lots of bandwidth so we can stream to multiple devices at the same time with no problem.

Just finished two non-fiction books set in Italy.

One is an Australian travel writer who decides to buy a very old Vespa from eBay and then travels around Italy on it.  Great read.

Second one is an Australian family of 6 who move to Italy for a year, then at the very end of their stay they deal with the looming pandemic and subsequent lockdown.

The friendliness of the Italians & the amazing food descriptions makes me hope to visit the country one day.

Titles please!

I  have OOKL and use it all the time on my phone or computer. I get a 5Guc signal at home, (T-mobile) and do not get consistent results , downloads range from 560 to 55, uploads on 5G seem to be much slower than if I connect to my wifi Comcast connection.

If I turn my phone hotspot on and connect my computer to the phone, a don't see the same speed as the phone shows, from phone to computer is not that fast.
