This post reminds me of a prior post you made about Sirius XM and The Coffee House channel.  As a result of that, I went in search of TCH, and also found channel 16, The Blend, which has become my go to station.  Thanks OB.  Now I'll have to go look for No Shoes. 😁

No Shoes is #57.

2.  I was a groupie to one person, and that was Harry Chapin.

I was able to see him in concerts In Akron, Cleveland. He even came to our hometown Stambaugh Auditorium 3 hours late because of a snow storm and he played well into the night.

After that I went on vacation to Denver Colorado and saw him in concert.  He commented on how he never missed a concert may have been late but  "even in snowstorms" he eventually showed.

I shouted out  "Youngstown"

He goes "Who said that"

I stood up, and waved.

Next thing you know security escorted me on stage, and he shook my hand, gave me a guitar pick and sang a song as I watch on.

It was a moment I will never forget.

I miss his gift of music

May he RIP

Take care

Sue

We saw Harry Chapin perform at The Turning Point a Piermont, NY old time coffee shop.  Of course, he sang "Cat's in the Cradle" one of my all time favorite songs with a powerful message.

Ok folks, Sea World question: we're taking my niece next week to Sea World during our port stop in Port Canaveral.  She's 10 and has no idea she's going (we're not telling her until we get onboard Anthem).  This will be my first time to Sea World too.  What are some "Can't Miss" things to do?  The Killer Whale and Dolphin shows are already on our "Must" list.

I hope all of you will get a chance to fly into Kansas City and see this new terminal.

Can't wait to check it out.  Other than Seattle and Boise (where I commuted weekly for 10 years), Kansas City is probably the airport I've flown in and out of most.  I did like the ease of the three terminal layout...for me it was always very easy to get in and out of and I never had huge lines.  I'm sure the new tech will make this single terminal setup a lot easier still!

@Jimbo     I didn't want to interrupt one of the other threads where you are asking about pricing for the world cruise.     If you go to this link you will the cost for the entire world cruise and prices for the 4 segments.    https://www.royalcaribbean.com/ultimate-world-cruise/

I would love to do the first 62 days.    That itinerary looks amazing.

It's been a long time since we've been there but we went 4 or 5 times with the kids when they were 4-10 and they absolutely loved it.  So much that after we took them to Disney one year we asked them where they wanted to go the next year and they chose Seaworld over Disney.

Depending on my mood, my go to stations will be Ch36 (New Alternative) or Ch 33 (First wave - 80's Alternative music) or Deep Tracks/Classic Vinyl which is 70's & 80's classic rock with Deep Tracks focusing on lesser known songs by popular artists.  No Shoes Radio, several other country stations as well as some hip-hop / R&B / Motown are also regular stops as I channel surf. Honestly, I get bored of listening to the same music so I'm always mixing it up. When I want background music that doesn't make me think or remind me on anything / anyplace / anyone, I'll turn on one of the Dance or EDM stations.

When I don't know what to listen to, I'll go to Ch 28 (The Spectrum) which plays the full spectrum of music from The Beatles to Nivarna to whomever is popular today.  Check out recently played music here:

The Blend is in my Favorites, along with channels 6 (60’s), 7 (70’s), 8 (80’s) and No Shoes.

For me, the 50's & 60's stations has been moved to channels 72 & 73 respectively.  Not sure why as I always liked the music decades matched the channel number starting with Ch 4 (1940's) and up to Channel 10 (2000's) and 11 (2010's)

We listen to the bridge # 17 and 70’s #7, both play lots of artists that we have seen on our rock and romance cruises. Last night we went to our favorite restaurant at listened to a great band for almost 4 hours, playing lots of Sinatra, have known the singer for ten or more years, have know piano player about 20 years. Unfortunately many places that had live music closed during Covid.

Oh what a fun surprise!   I have always loved going to Sea World.  Just fit in as much as you can.    Lots of walking but lots of fun things to see and do.    I always love aquariums, their rescue area is very informative too.    If she enjoys Sesame Place - there is area called Sesame Land where she may meet several characters.

As much as I love cruising, I think the whole thing would just be too much for me.  I'd love to do a segment though.  It's not possible but 63 nights would be amazing.

I too loved the ease of getting in and out of the 3 terminals. I was skeptical if I would like the new terminal. I was pleasantly surprised. Yes there is more walking but it's laid out nice and the pluses of more restaurants and shops and larger gate areas with power and usb make this a very up to date addition.

It's been a long time for us also, but the sea lion show was great.  Very funny and I think perfect for a 10 year old. The penguins are also fun to watch.  The Manta and the Kraken are both great roller coasters but she's probably too young for them.  If you're into coasters and can get some free time, I'd highly recommend either.

We also really enjoyed Sea World's Discovery Cove.  It's across the street and a completely separate ticket though from SeaWorld.  You'd need to choose one or the other.  Discovery Cove has some man made beaches and encounters with dolphins, sharks, stingrays, otters, birds, etc.  Food and drink (including beer and wine) are included.  My kids loved it because they could get up close and personal with several of the animals.  It's an all day thing and may not make sense if you need to leave early to get back to the ship.

I'm waiting for the 17 shorter segments to be released.  Lots of great 10 to 30 day itineraries

We have been trying to get back there for a few years now, it just hasn't worked out with our cruising schedule.

The most we have ever done was 28 days and it was on Serenade.    I could have stayed on but hubby reminded me we had work and lives that we had to get back to at home.    Plus our kitty kats
