TSOD: Moody Blues Tour of the Kingdom. I think that was their 1992 concert tour. It's showing a bit of wear and tear but still fits after 30 (gasp!) years.

 

Why I'm wearing a t-shirt while it's currently 59 degree & raining is beyond me. I'm just glad that my little neck of the woods has so far escaped the "heat dome" that has enveloped most of he country.

Re the Yankees:

Even though I am a Mets fan the first baseball game that I saw in person was at Yankee Stadium in 1962 and I rooted for the team when my friend Frank Tepedino was on the team.

I can ask the same question about why am I wearing a tee shirt when it is 64 degrees and raining .I am wearing it because a neighbor who is a huge Mets fan was supposed to come to my house to get something notarized and wearing the shirt might generate an interesting baseball conversation.

The weather in my small town is usually 10 degrees cooler than NYC .

As far as misspelling Yankees,that was a good one.Re Moody Blues:

I never saw them live but my friend who lived in Cortlandt Manor worked at the Paramount in Hudson Valley after he retired and saw many shows there .

Appointment with the orthopedic surgeon this afternoon.  He has more pain from the fractured rib than his wrist.  I hope Owen, Bonnie and Aussie are doing okay.

So today, we had all the grandkids at Apple Castle. 

 

 

They have different topics for kids to learn about during the summer. Today’s topic was bees 🐝, and they all listened intently.  

 

All aboard the farm wagon.  By the way, that is a 1950 JD tractor. 

 

 

Past a few hives.  

 

 

With a stop to see farmer Steve, who showed off his bee outfit, and explained more about how the bees pollinate their orchards. 

 

 

Once they got back from the wagon ride, all the kids got to decorate some pots, and they planted some sunflower seeds. 

 

 

Inside the castle, they had a display case with the bees at work.  I learned that inside the hive, there are only a couple male bees, and the female worker bees would feed them and call on them for, ahem, good times.  The males don’t have anything else to do.  ( It was sounding like a pretty good life to me).  Other than when they get kicked out of the hive at the end of the season. 

 

 

On the way back, we saw one of those new “green” vehicles at the gas station.

So yeah, discharge should definitely include checking the patient’s body for leftover equipment!

Just a clarification:  you had a flexible plastic catheter in your arm, not a needle.

I just said needle because I didn’t know the proper name. It was for the 3am vampires. I think they thought I’d sleep through the blood drawing.
