Royal Caribbean Cruisers -- How Are Things Where You Are? (was "Routine" 😁 day in lockdown... how was yours?)

Recommended Posts

I sleep about two hours, wake up, sleep a little more, wake up and so on.  I haven’t been able to sleep well since my mother was killed eight years ago.  My doctor won’t prescribe anything.  He did give me Zoloft but I didn’t want an every day thing.  I just wanted an as needed anything!

I get about 4 hrs. when on a cruise. Too much FOMO I guess.

I have a sister-in-law that went on a couple cruises with us.  She would sleep 8 or 9 hours each night.  I told her I had twice the cruise she did, because she slept through so much.

I sleep 8 hours a night but wake up between 2 and 7 times to go to the bathroom.

Congratulations on reaching that magic age to collect your old age pension. Do you have different options to claim at different ages, or does everyone have to take it at 66 in the UK?

It use to be 60 for women but they bumped it to 65, same as men, without much notice. My friend who is 5 years older than me was able to collect at 62.

Then both went to 66 and soon it will be 67. Wouldn't be at all surprised if it goes to 70 eventually

You can defer the state pension for a higher amount

Company pensions can be taken from 55 but the earlier you take it the smaller it is.

Your poor Mom!  Thank God she was okay.  It could've been so much worse.

Interesting story about mom. She passed away on a trip and vacation in a hospital that was about 5 hours from where we live. We went up to say goodbye (she was unconscious) before she passed away. Folks in the US may be familiar with the Neptune Society. I have nothing but great and wonderful things to say about their services! 😃 They took care of everything and took care of mailing mom.

I told our outstanding mail carrier that we were expecting mail delivery of my mom. (She had a tracking number) And he waited until we were home from work, so that he could deliver her in person and express his personal condolences. I guess I was thinking about her, because her birthday was Oct. 24th. ☺️

Wow, Patti.  Sad as it was, at least it sounds like your Mom was hopefully having a great time on her trip prior to her getting hospitalized and then passing.  ((Hugs))

I don’t know of any other 10 year olds that know the lyrics to so many Elvis songs.  It seems his favorite is Burning Love.  🤣🤣

Lord Almighty, Feel  my temperature rising!

Love the Elvis costume!

Some are trying, but not always succeeding 😉

I’m with you Dani.  I average about 7 total but I’m usually awake somewhere in the middle.  I feel lucky if I can fall back asleep after waking up between 3 and 4 am!

That’s the great thing about being retired I average about 9 . Could not function on less at least nowadays.

I have gotten into a habit now of taking an afternoon nap on the couch with the pups. They like to lay on me. Today Charlie was resting his head on the side of my face. I wish I had a pic of it.

I guess tomorrow we can test to see if we board Odyssey Monday.

I’m feeling fine.  No more symptoms.  It seemed like the cold got better and now gone.

DH is the adventurous one.  He’s really taking advantage of the amenities here.  He’s out there paddle boarding and kayaking again.  If there were any waves, he’d try to surf.   I came back inside because there’s too many mosquitoes for me.  I get bit left and right.  He’s rode the bike into town to explore yesterday.  This morning he rode the bike to the golf course and played golf.  He claims he played pretty good.  He tested negative a few days ago so  he’s making the best of everything.

It’s been 10 days since I tested in Civitavecchia so I just did a test today to see where I stand.  I am very pleased to let you all know that I tested Negative!  I just hope it stays that way for the eMed test before we board the ship.  I feel like I won the lottery.

What a wonderful whirlwind of traveling the two of you have covered since testing positive.  Have a wonderful time on your Odyssey cruise that you will be boarding this coming Monday!!!!🛳️

Thank you for sharing your beautiful pictures!

I am a fan of afternoon naps also, have done it on cruises for decades since I like staying up late listening to music or gambling and want to wake up early enough for breakfast.  I am sure we would all like to that picture with you and Charlie.

4.5 hours of sleep is about my average each night.  You mean people sleep longer than that?

Every once in a while😉

They have not come yet.We have a second refrigerator that we are using in the interim.

I am doing the happy dance.    Woot Woot!     I just received my text that our new refrigerator will be delivered between 8:15 and 11:15 am.

This morning was trash day so I before I left for work I threw out a lot of food (eggs, milk, rice pudding, lots of good cheeses, lunch meat, pork roll, mayo, dressings, etc. etc.)     Thankful we have all our meats in the freezer in the garage.
