Royal Caribbean Cruisers -- How Are Things Where You Are? (was "Routine" 😁 day in lockdown... how was yours?)

@dani negreanu happy birthday!  Old Jaffe looks beautiful. I once had a friend whose dad is Israeli and his mom is Lebanese. Very interesting cultural heritage as he was part Jewish and part Muslim. He loves Israel and returns annually to visit his father yearly.

@ownedbypets beautiful!!  Love that look!

@A&L_Ont 60F yesterday and snow today. Come on Kansas.... get your act together.

Hope you all had a Happy St Patrick’s!

Been a busy day.

But first of all happy belated St Patrick’s Day.

Went for a ride through the Smoky mountains and ended up in North Carolina. Then saw a sign—- Cherokee Indians. So we followed it.
Well ended up in Harrah’s casino.
Very productive event.  Had I had the drink

package like on the ship it would have been complete.
DH on black Jack. Me on slots.
Left the casino including what we donated back we were still $1400.00 ahead.

Google purchased WAZE several years ago and left it as a stand along product. However, someone recently told me that many of WAZE features will be incorporated into Google Maps wondering if they will eventually phase out WAZE

EDIT: The "someone" that told me that is a random stranger that I struck up a conversation while waiting at the bar. So take it for what it's worth.

I heard the same thing somewhere.  In fact, I thought that the databases for Waze and Google Maps had already merged and the only difference was the reporting of cops/obstacles/etc. in Waze.  I was driving to Ohio a few months ago when the bridge crossing the Ohio river was closed for a while and my car's nav system, Google Maps, and Waze all gave me different alternate directions.

Did she knit her hat or jacket?  If so what was the pattern?

I didn’t notice an issue with WAZE until like the last few months where it choose routes that were nearly impossible to get there.  Just stupid directions.

I wonder, since Google now has control, how will cancel culture affect navigation?   😇

Still in the euphoria of yesterday, I got "nostalgic"...

This is our wedding, January 17th, 1973. Our friends were "best man and woman" -- his father had a small butcher shop with a commercial car. They draped a sheet over the backseats, so that I could seat comfortably. They fetched us from my parents' home, while my parents travelled to the synagogue by bus... Except my DH, we were all new immigrants. Our friend went on to med school, and retired 4 years ago as a director of a big hospital. They are together from age 15 and will celebrate this year 50 years of marriage.

My DH compromised by wearing a suit, but drew the line on a tie...

So no more beach pictures for me today.  We flew back to Pennsylvania last night, so we are looking at rain all day.  Today, I am backing up iPhones and getting ready to activate the new ones.  Will probably wait until the new cases get here before doing that.  I was shocked at how much of a trade in they gave for our old 6S models.  Such a savings, I opted for the 12 Pro model for me, while the others all got the 12.

Where did you buy them from that that gave you a good trade in price?   Your carrier? Apple?

Yes but if you had been on a ship you would surely never had had such good winnings.  Or at least I never win anything on a ship - on land I come out ahead at least some times.

At the casino I played a 25 cent one line machine that you can play 3 coins at a time. Even though you put your bills in and get a receipt when you cash out.

The casino is massive. One of the largest I have been in on land. I walked around looking and said I’ll try this one.  It started hitting from the beginning.  Went to lunch. Walked around.  Came back it was open. Went back on and hit 3 Jack pots first hour.  Kept winning small amounts to keep playing and not putting any of my own money in.  Went to supper. Came back machine open. Played again. Kept paying off. DH had a productive day on black Jack.

Today when we woke up heard big storms hit the area last night.  Slept thru them. On our way back we tried to go thru the Smokey mountains but the road 414 was closed due to high winds.
Took a two hour detour enjoying the scenery and got back to Gatlinburg.
Just woke up from an hour nap.
Packing now.

Then going out to enjoy our last dinner in town.

Catch you later

Nate hasn't been able to work this week due to the snow and was going a bit stir crazy so he made it to the range yesterday and then went and bought himself a welding machine. LOL.

I misread, and thought he bought a wedding machine. 🤦‍♂️😂

I went to the range today also, but I'm guessing it's a different kind of range. 🏌️‍♂️
